HOLMAN PRISON, ATMORE, Alabama — Christopher Thomas Johnson, a man sentenced to die for the killing of his infant son, was pronounced dead at 6:25 p.m. Thursday at Holman Correctional Facility, after being executed by lethal injection.

Shortly after 6 p.m., just as the proceedings had begun, Johnson was asked if he had any last words. He simply said, “Game over.”
