Are there really men out there that find this difficult or is it just something on TV? It’s really not that hard.
Indeed, it’s not that hard – if (as in this pic) you’re looking right at the clasp with plenty of light. If, however, you’ve never in your life had a close look at a bra clasp, and you’re reaching around blindly from the front … that’s another story.
I imagine there are, especially if it’s new to them and something they’re not familiar with.
But no, it’s not that hard… at all.
If you’re a teenage guy, pulse racing as you attempt your first bra-ectomy, the last thing that comes to mind is to grab the ends of the fabric and pull them toward each other (to take the tension off the clasp). Cinch it **tighter** ?? Madness!!
… I think this is just a result of american teens being stupid. By just examining a bra once, it should be easy to see how to unclasp it.

I don’t know why there’s always this joke about this. It’s just a hook. you just unhook it.
It IS simple – when you know what sort of fastener it is. But, there is nothing guys wear that has a comparable clasp, and also nothing (except perhaps a elt) – that guys wear which needs to be momentarily cinched tighter in order to unfasten it.
Most guys are reaching around from the front, (usually with only 1 hand) and – at least initially – relying on just their fingers both to learn what sort of fastener is there, and also to unhook it. Failure is not an option!

It’s just a hook and loop. Just push the two together – towards each other. Good Old Grandpa has arthritis and still manages to do this with one hand. He’s still got it – just like the Fonz…
It always makes me laugh when some guys can’t unhook a bra when staring right at it when girls can do it one handed, behind their back, and through a shirt. We have more practice, but still, it gets me every time.
