The yo yo craze of the 80′s was preceded by the yo yo craze of the 60′s. This is a very cool dad.
Wow! i was a pretty decent yoyo user in the 80′s, but this guy just owns me.
same… and he’s a good twenty+ years older than me (unless he spent most of his youth having “a VERY good time”) so he’s probably more like the yo-yo craze of the 60′s or even the 1860′s

@allysan. In the late ’40s early ’50s Filipino experts hired by Duncan (yoyo) were allowed to put on demos in schools. I saw my first one in Miami Shores Elementry in 1945 when I was in THIRD grade.They also were on stage at double feature movies (entry 9¢) You silly kids don’t know crap. The guy in this vid is my age.

At age 10 or so I showed my mom that I had finally managed to get my yo-yo to go up and down instead of just going down and spinning…
She took it from me, then proceded to do some of the stuff you see here. I had no idea that she had ever even picked one up before.
I never touched a yo-yo again.
