Because the “female driver” in question is an awful, narcissistic, borderline sociopathic character, and I *do not understand* why the show insists on treating her as if the audience actually wants to keep watching her. Everything she does is horrible or mean in some way. She’s on the jerk side of every argument the characters have. And the main character is dating her.
So… i guess anything with a picture of that character in it is automatically a dating fail?
* She’s a jerk alll the time,
* She lies casually,
* She shows little affect except when somebody is watching,
* She uses emotive/human sorts of language to get people to do what she wants, but is inconsistent and insincere in it’s use, and seems to judge her interventions with other people by the criteria of “will it make them do what i need them to do”,
* She frequently fails to see the causal relationships between events, especially events related to social interactions between the survivors.
I submit to you, sir, that she shows strong sociopathic tendencies. Whether it is deliberate on the part of the writers or the source material, or whether it is an unconscious side-effect of trying to write Yet Another Annoying Female Stereotype, I don’t know.
It’s a spoiler that the character dies in a different medium? Well, Merle and Daryl aren’t even in the comics, Shane has been dead for a while now in the comics after Carl shot him, and a lot of the events from season one never happened in the comics (never went to the CDC, never had to face the Vatos in the nursing home). Considering how varied the show storyline has been from the comics, if any of these events from the comics do happen in the show, people who’ve read every one of them will be as surprised as you.
This is from the show “The Walking Dead” and all the characters have qualities that piss me off. Personalty I can’t stand the daughter of the farmer that is “in love” with Glen. So fickle!
I don’t like any of the female characters on this show. I did like Amy .. but they killed her off in season 1. The guys are great. Shane is nuts, but the rest are just fine. What is up with the horrible female characters? I like strong women, but they should be likeable, too. I had high hopes when Maggie came into the picture, but it’s gone downhill with her, too.
This show is bollocks. There’s cars with gas and keys in them everywhere, but somehow no one thinks to use a car as a weapon against the stupid “walkers”. Forget crossbows-I’m thinking snowplows on dumptrucks. Armored cars. City buses. Shoot, the squad cars outside of the high school they went to IN A TRUCK.
Then, let’s consider for moment how armed to the teeth the United States is. Somehow, there isn’t any guns, or ammo anywhere-not to mention Claymore mines, flamethrowers-why don’t they go raid the local National Guard Amory and just mow them all down with a Hummer with a .50 caliber machine gun on it?
And, how about the ocean? There’s a coastline nearby with hundreds of ships laying around…since everyone is “dead”. Get to the coast, steal some schmuck’s yacht, and go out to sea for a long while. Stock up on some Perrier and lobster.
And everyone’s so hungry? What, no Sam’s Club anywhere nearby? No Walmart Grocery? MRE’s? There’s probably enough canned goods in your typical small town to last for years, properly stored and rationed…
DO I HAVE TO DO ALL THE THINKING IN ADVANCE OF THE ZOMB-POCALYPSE??
Using logic when writing a TV show tends to make it much more believable. After all, if the characters had done what you suggest, then the zombies would have to be a much worse threat to pose any risk to them. Therefore, they would gain the license to set off a lot more explosions. Plenty of explosions + logical storytelling = blockbuster movie/TV series.
This is hilarious, people shouldn’t get so worked up over the show being different then the comics, Glen Mazzarra (@Glenmazzarra) already Tweeted that the comics and the show are completely and the show is only based of the comics.
And for all those who hate Laurie Shane Andrea or anyone on the show really then good, that’s what the producers want. Shows get just as much ratings for people hating a character as they do if you love the character, when it comes to fictional characters any publicity is good publicity. They know what they’re doing.
AMEN!!!!!!!!!! i’ve been freaking out with that scene, how can she be SOOOOOOOOOO stupid, OMG!!! driving FOR NO REASON, looking at map WITH NO NEED, going after her husband with NO POINT.
women drivers: no survivors
1000 points for you and the truth.
Don’t let Andrea drive either otherwise she’ll intentionally drive it into zombies just to show that she can.
Andrea is the worst character of the show. Let’s hope a zombie eat her ugly face off soon so we don’t have to watch her throw tantrums anymore.
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeei please
The Asian kid does not approve of women driving, the irony.
Glenn is da bomb and I will not hear his driving ability besmirched.
Funny, sure.. But why is it on dating fails?

*married to.
There’s nothing sociopathic about her. She’s just a jerk sometimes.
I agree, her character is a jerk, she should win an award or two for being spot on!

Perhaps she is a metaphor for zombies??? Omg, mind = blown.
I think they should stray from the comics and kill her off early.
She’s pregnant in the middle of apocalypse zombie… kind of understand her a little bit.
at least she’s better than andrea
but it lumps all women in with this horrible woman who is a fictional character.so f-ing stupid and sexist.
I really want her to die because she’s an idiot, but she won’t get killed off because she’s married to Rick. Dammit.
She dies in the comic books, I think.
So maybe…
That is the best news I’ve heard yet. She is so annoying.
So I gather you know what this is from.
DO enlighten us, don’t be shy.
You mean what show this is from?
It’s okay. He’s being snooty about being ignorant to this shows content. It’s okay to just leave him be.
two birds one stone…
ever hear of a SPOILER ALERT? Moderators should really delete your comment.

Doesn’t mean much. Shane was supposed to be shot and killed by Carl but that didn’t happened.
Yet.
I wish they’d hurry up already … can’t stand that guy
You haven’t read the books have you?
awesome
Ok, I’m a woman and even I think this is funny! XD
Nek Minnit…
The Walking Dead? I’m twelve (times two) and don’t know what this is…
thpoilerth?
Hello Igor. How’s life at the castle?
This is from the show “The Walking Dead” and all the characters have qualities that piss me off. Personalty I can’t stand the daughter of the farmer that is “in love” with Glen. So fickle!
Says the guy sitting in a car with a shotgun pointed at his face
It’s pointing out the window. He’s Asian, he’s smarter than that.
That, McGee, was awesome. I had no idea…

in general i don’t like female characters. Lori sucks but for me Andreas worse….
Andrea’s just…. I hate every scene with her, trully.it’s a non sense character, don’t get why does she even exists in the show

What?
Where are the thumbs up button?! Why can I NOT thumb this up!? 0_o
judging by the number of idiots on the road who can’t take their eyes off their smart phone.. it’s already the end of the world
