» 83 Failures in Communication

  1. dissembly says:

Expensive, often impractical, and easily damaged?

  2. welikehonda says:

All clothes look best lying in a pile on the floor, hastily removed in passion.

  3. GOD says:

only if said women have an office fetish.

  4. Mr.X says:

So if the guys wear suits in public, then I vote the ladies wear lingerie in public.
    It’s only fair right?

    • nivek says:

I agree with Mr. X. I would also vote for that.

    • Kaizoe says:

      Totally logical and fair.

    • Yes says:

Except in winter. If that were the case, there would be many women missing arms, legs and digits to frostbite. And that would just suck.

    • Xebi says:

nice troll logic Mr X, but for women the naked body appears to be less important than it is for men. Yes, we like a hot body, but you wouldn’t see many (hetero) women making comments like that about men!

      • dissembly says:

Um, speak for yourself. I have plenty of female friends who aren’t boring romantic comedy characters.

Maybe you need to widen your circle of acquaintences a tad before you claim to speak for all women.

        • Xebi says:

When the heck did I ever claim to speak for all women?

Note that I used the word “appears.” I didn’t say “it is.” For me personally, I prefer to look at my man naked, but a lot of women feel otherwise (according to psychology research, that is, NOT the “acquaintances” you so helpfully assume I’m going by. I hardly have any female friends – they are nearly all male). So no, I am not even speaking for myself!

I’ve never watched a romantic comedy anyway, so have no idea what you mean by “boring romantic comedy characters” and that comment is totally wasted on me.

  5. David Tower says:

I can not stress enough how much I have gotten laid wearing a slick suit. Heed the advice of the greatest bro of them all and “Suit up!”

    I’m just saying.

  6. RP says:

Is it a fail because the poster disagrees that men look sexy in a tailored suit or is it a fail because the guy’s tie is askew in the photo?

  7. Ryan Waxx says:

    A well-tailored suit is a sign announcing:

    “Gold-diggers, unite!”

  8. Men don’t care about lingerie any more than they’re care about the box containing a pizza. The goal is naked and lingerie is just closer to naked than other clothes.. Lingerie is really for women so they can “feel sexy”, whatever the hell that means.

    • dissembly says:

Almost but not quite agreed. There’s nothing hotter than denim jeans and a tight t-shirt on a girl. I wouldn’t say no to lingerie, but if i took this literally, I would assume it meant that girls think that guys can look quite good in a suit, but it’s not what they mostly fantasize about, or necessarily look for when out clubbing.

Also, from the girls I know, that would be an entirely accurate statement.

      So… cryptic win?

    • TheFunkyShmoo says:

Whoa whoa whoaaaa!! Speak for yourself. I could not disagree with you more. I find a woman in sexy ligerie vastly more appealing than stark naked.

  9. Cal says:

    That’s cool, because I can’t afford either.

The best you could get out of me is button up, khakis, and a bolo tie. Also a pair of driving moccasins. But I’m young and full of life; if you need a suite to do a job, odds are it’s the most physically exerting thing you could do and get paid for it.

  10. PenfoldTheBrown says:

I’ll wear a suit to a wedding or a funeral, and that’s it. F@#king hate the things.

    • Cuddles the Safety Clown says:

Do you also wear your hat sideways, pretend to ride a skateboard, smoke pot, get failing grades in school, but still fantasize about being a millionaire baller one day?

      Yeah. That’s you.

  11. J says:

This is true if you have tons of money to back it up. If you only have one nice suit in your closet, it will not work

  12. ryan says:

It’s way more of a confidence thing. A lot of guys will feel more confident in the suit, which means more girls.

    • Lori says:

That may be a small part of it, but from my perspective as a “girl,” I just like the way a man looks in a good suit. Nothing to do with his confidence or lack thereof.

  13. Jenn says:

I’m more the kinda girl who goes for the jeans and t-shirt guys.

  14. Suiter says:

I wear suits now and than to school. (We all have our quirks) and people just tend to think i’m odd. Ladies don’t swoon or anything. I do it because I want to look nice. Also, classy ladies swoon.

  15. meadowlark3 says:

Generally, I prefer jeans and a t-shirt. But a suit turns good-looking into good-looking with class.

  16. Patrick says:

Really? Why aren’t I constantly swarmed with girls, then? Every girl I know goes for t-shirts and jeans so it must be a localised thing.

  17. pianogirl23 says:

    Damn straight. :)

  18. OldDude says:

What are we talking about here? Girls or women? Fact is, what you wear has an effect on your inner attitude. Be honest, adult women realise that someone in a suit is probably not a garbage collector but may be a successful businessman. If you young dudes get it wearing a t-shirt and jeans, she was either on the hots or you got lucky. In the adult world, women think futher than sexual relationships and the impression you make may be the difference between meeting the right one or not. Women look for security and long relationships – believe it or not, sex has an all together meaning for women than for men. Google a little bit on that.

    • Xebi says:

Interesting. A hot guy in a nice suit is a real turn-on for me. I LOVE it when my boyfriend wears his suit: he looks so awesomely sexy. Yet, wealth has always been a turn-OFF for me. I don’t measure success by wealth or having a well-paid job, personally. However, I do also find guys in T-shirts and jeans very sexy in a different way. None of the boyfriends I’ve ever had have met me or “got lucky” while wearing a suit. I think you’re generalising a tad too much.

    • Calvin says:

Have fun dying before me. I’m young, and I’ll take the low-stress/low-pay job over a highly taxing career any day. And in these times, even getting a job is a clear demonstration of responsibility. Times are also shifting to be more egalitarian, with relationships becoming far more casual.

  19. davewilson82 says:

I’m suprised that no-one has commented that the guy ISNT wearing a well tailored suit!

His collar is ‘popped’, his tie askew, and he’s pulling it in together with his hands to make it fit better.

  20. I agree! Proof, you say? Harvey Specter. I rest my case.

  21. Marge says:

    Amen to that!

  22. Debbie says:

Even better, a man in uniform.

  23. Allison says:

I’d rather just see them with a minimal amount of clothes on.

    Or nekkid.

  24. The Girl Next Door says:

    Great examples:
Neil Patrick Harris “How I Met Your Mother”
    Matt Bomer: “White Collar”
And other obscure people that I can not recall….

  25. Paddy says:

Matt Bomer (the guy from white collar) apparently looks so good in his tailored suits he turned himself gay. True story.

    • Caitlin says:

It was slightly depressing to find out he was gay.. but anyone who looks like that, and can fit a suit like that has to be gay lol

  26. Caitlin says:

I personally would rather see a guy in a suit than naked so lol If i see a naked guy I’m more than likely to grimace… but if i see a well dressed guy I’m more likely to be wide eyed and bushy tailed! lol haha

  27. butwhatdoiknow says:

    one word: saxx

  28. Stacey says:

what idiot made this? I don’t agree at all. I want my guys NAKED, and to actually have worked to make their body nice, the way women are expected to.

  29. Urbanite says:

that’s not fair! ladies buy cheap underwear to turn us on and we have to spend hundreds on all these pointless layers and stuff to do the same to them

    • Xebi says:

Good quality lingerie is certainly not cheap. Cheaper than a suit, yeah. But wait ’til you see how much the makeup and skin/haircare products we’re expected to use costs over time. A suit of proper quality will last you for years. Lingerie won’t last like that.
