Cliched nostalgic references are cliched. By all means, continue praising something that looks just like all the other “wins” posted on here because you can’t think for yourself. Sounds like I hit a nerve.
AGREED!!! My twin and I grew up with the Power Rangers and we played it all the time, I was always the red and she was always the yellow. I showed her this and she is a fashion designer and will try and make them for use, We already have tattoos that are matching but the color but I cant wait!
So, the definition of a cliche is “a trite, stereotyped expression.”
Rather like ‘NO U’, wouldn’t you say? Or like saying you ‘hit a nerve’?
The fact that it’s nostalgic for someone else doesn’t make it horrible. The internet/world isn’t tailored to you.
Take the time to read both #7 and #6 and you’ll understand why instead of sounding like someone simply sharing their opinion, you sound like a huge moron/douche.
I grew up in the 90s and I used to laugh at the power rangers and DBZ fans. It was always the kids with no friends and who were rubbish at everything who liked them, now they’re all on the internet and there is strength in numbers (I presume), since now it is widely accepted that they were always cool when they never actually were cool at all! It’s like people liking cancer and getting bullied about it then ten years later everybody and his dog loves cancer for some magical reason called “rose tinted glasses and an inability to think for one’s self”.
everything about that post makes me wanna punch you in the mouth, first off if you were a kid in the 90s you liked power rangers straight up it doesn’t make you cool to deny it 20 years later tool and way to mega fail saying the internet is full of ppl w/ no friends who like rubbish…FLASH FACT YOU’RE ON THE INTERNET TOO BRUH so whats that say about you?
But 20 years ago, how many adults would say they enjoyed the Power Rangers without being made fun of? Riiiight. I mean, if this was geared toward children, I’d find this a little bit less contrived and “ironic”.
No, it’s aimed at adults who are losers with no friends who were kids 20 years ago and were losers without friends back then as well.
Seriously, almost nobody liked the Power Rangers, it was forcibly pushed onto TV as a live-action alternative to Anime which was still viewed with suspicion by US Censors and Conservative Religious groups. When it horribly failed on TV, they made a last ditch effort to revive the franchise by making a movie which flopped even harder.
Sure, you feel nostalgia if you were alive back then. Just like I feel nostalgia when I see the Big Hair of the 80′s and the crap that was ‘popular’ back then. But it’s not because you enjoyed the show, it’s because the show triggers memories of other events which you associated with it.
Actually, the MMPR movie was a cash in, as most popular childrens franchises do, the Turbo movie however did flop.
The 5th Season was when it hit the lowest popularity, but a sudden surge in ratings during the 6th, and at the time considered last, season caused the Power Rangers brand to continue for a further 11 seasons until 2009 when Disney (Who bought it from Saban Brands in 2000?) decided to not continue the series with Shinkenger, which Saban did in 2010 after re-aqquiring the rights to Power Rangers from Disney. And in 2011 Power Rangers Samurai debuted, followed by Super Samurai which debuts this Feburary.
tl;dr
It was popular til Turbo, then took off again during In Space.
daSceptik is a tool.
im getting the senSe you are either 10 and cant even have an opinion on this subject or are still angry bc all your friends made you be the pink ranger when you played in the school yard. either way to say no one enjoyed The Power Rangers in the 90′s is a complete understatement it was the most popuar kids show in the 90′s and sold over 150 million toys. when your a kid grand special effects dont matter so much.what does matter….chocolate milk, robots, ninja fights, and saturday morning cartoons…..SUCK IT!!!
Uh, no. Who’s to say who can like what? There are so many more lame shows now-a-days in my opinion than the power rangers back then anyways. Guess what? I never liked Sesame Street, ever, and seriously people never do shut up about how awesome it was. But again, seriously, your an adult telling other adults now that they were a loser when they were a kid. Didn’t we all learn to drop that sort of thing when we GREW UP!?
I don’t know what all you guys are talking about. When I was a kid? Power Rangers was the coolest ever. And all my friends as a kid loved the Power Rangers stuff. So I don’t know where YOU grew up, but we thought kids were kinda weird for NOT watching it.
yeah….you were either too old to appreciate it or a loser yourself because it was the cool thing to do. I grew up in the suburbs and everyone loved the power rangers and i had a lot of friends. In my school if you didn’t like power rangers you were the weird kid in the back corner who liked to burn things…
shame on you, your parents didnt love you, hence they didnt buy you power ranger action figures, hence u started to hate them. You didnt have a chilhood </3.
Dont worry now you have Justin Bieber to go take back the time you didnt have.
haha
Well, I’ll respond because I agree with this post AND loved Power Rangers.
Had almost no friends and was laughed upon/ made fun of every day of my school life.
But today, all those cool kids with their awesome parties and hundreds of friends are the real losers.
Instead of learning, they were to busy having fun, drinking and doing drugs. So while their jobless or angry at life because at work no one cares about popularity and whether you had the coolest birthday party when you were 13 or liked the power rangers.
Also you’re not very good at trolling. Your reasons are so random and unfitting.
Dont really understand the anger in this post. following reasons
1. you were a kid.
2. Power rangers were in the past/future.
3. what if people like it now. thats fine. As long as we/they arent shoving it in your face, why should you care?
4. Power rangers has always been popular. look at japan. it came from there, anyway.
The fail is that when you go to the webpage they cost $110. Too bad failblog didn’t include this information in the post so now it’s just an advertisement.
Don’t worry, I would buy one too if I knew where to get them. Sure I’d have to save up for a while and pay extra for postage because I live in the UK, but I want one and I will have one.
Even though this looks just like everything on here that’s been posted gazillions of times, you aren’t supposed to question what’s so great about it. You’re supposed to wield your rose-tinted glasses and kneel before the altar of corporate nostalgia.
OH MY GOD, I CAN’T WAIT UNTIL IT’S COOL TO LIKE BARNEY THE PURPLE DINOSAUR. IS IT OUTDATED ENOUGH NOT TO BE A SOCIAL STIGMA ANYMORE, AND THEREFORE JUST RETRO?
What’s your deal, kid? You’ve been flaunting your “butt-hurtedness” all over these comments. I’m not exactly thrilled by these myself (though I do appreciate the unique hoodie design), but damn, I just watched you whine in seven different posts about people liking something that you don’t.
Okay, I don’t understand why the haters hate the Power Rangers so much. It was 20 years ago and you either grew up with it or you didn’t. There really isn’t anything to hate; it was just a kid’s show.
That being said, I could have bias, because I loved the Power Rangers.
Ridiculous. So we were losers for liking power rangers back then? What about all the TMNT gear that’s currently being sold at hot topic now? Does that make me a loser for buying the T-Shirt and wearing it? I agree that you’re entitled to your opinions, but some of the comments I’ve just read are completely asinine. Why should someone have their childhood memories criticized and trampled upon simply because of a TV show they liked as a child? Makes no sense.
because “jutting forth” and “sanguinivire” are total retards who are most likely around the age of 15 and are trying to troll the audience of power rangers. And they suck at trolling
Absolutely amazing! Where can I get one?
$85 according to io9: http://io9.com/5880131/dress-up-as-your-favorite-power-ranger-with-custom+made-hoodies
You can email orders@powerhoodiez.com to place your order.
Ugh. You grew up in the 1990′s, we get it.
Ugh. You’re an idiot, we get it.
NO U.
Cliched nostalgic references are cliched. By all means, continue praising something that looks just like all the other “wins” posted on here because you can’t think for yourself. Sounds like I hit a nerve.
fun fact: Adults tend to enjoy things they liked while growing up. Deal with it.
fun fact 2: You’re no different, sparkly vampire.
AGREED!!! My twin and I grew up with the Power Rangers and we played it all the time, I was always the red and she was always the yellow. I showed her this and she is a fashion designer and will try and make them for use, We already have tattoos that are matching but the color but I cant wait!

It’s all right, you are entitled to your own opinions. Just so you know though, we all thought you were a bit of a loser to.
and a douchebag. some things never change.
^Prime evidence that you were part of the “loser” group that never understood the popularity of anything but yourself… which wasn’t really even there.
LOL I remember that too!! Nobody liked power rangers except for a select few, and somehow it seems to have been the coolest thing from the 90′s.
I don’t know what all you guys are talking about. When I was a kid? Power Rangers was the coolest ever. And all my friends as a kid loved the Power Rangers stuff. So I don’t know where YOU grew up, but we thought kids were kinda weird for NOT watching it.
Well I was 4 at the time. So yeah it was pretty f*ckin cool!
yeah….you were either too old to appreciate it or a loser yourself because it was the cool thing to do. I grew up in the suburbs and everyone loved the power rangers and i had a lot of friends. Durr hurr. Justin Bieber, guys. Get it.
Gotta love the strength in numbers approach.
Everyone who responded to this post defensively or piling onto this comment are just attacking because it revealed something about themselves.
Classic example of Emperor’s New Clothing on here.
uh… no? that was ignoring something because they didnt want to look stupid. this is the opposite of that…

LOL It’s funny because he’s butthurt over a 90′s cartoon.
not a cartoon, dude. get your facts straight
Ok, you guys are one post away from me deleting you from my bookmarks.
Oh No!!! Not from your bookmarks!!
Hehe, your picture goes perfectly with your post. It enhances the dramatic effect.
Where can I get one?
IT’S MORPHIN’ TIME!
Wow this makes me feel old. This qualifys for nostalgic already? Zang, I’ll go back to playing Simon. As soon as I can find a 9 volt battery.
I don’t get it. Where’s the fail/win?
The fail is that when you go to the webpage they cost $110. Too bad failblog didn’t include this information in the post so now it’s just an advertisement.
that sux ballz. i really wanted one too. yes, i am the loser who would totally wear it.
I would too^^ And would love a matching helmet and pants
A legit power rangers helmet would be awesome. Not a crappy plastic mask, but something like a decorated motorcycle helmet
Don’t worry, I would buy one too if I knew where to get them. Sure I’d have to save up for a while and pay extra for postage because I live in the UK, but I want one and I will have one.
Shh… don’t let them catch you.

Lol.
Cool oh my childwood
No. Child wood was right. Especially the pink and yellow ones.
*childhood xD
Totally awesome
i feel sorry for anyone that grew up with power rangers because they barely missed out on ninja turtles.
When was this? Ninja turtles and Power Rangers were my childhood.
yep mine too… sorry zooks – seems like you missed out on something
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
OH MY GOD, I CAN’T WAIT UNTIL IT’S COOL TO LIKE BARNEY THE PURPLE DINOSAUR. IS IT OUTDATED ENOUGH NOT TO BE A SOCIAL STIGMA ANYMORE, AND THEREFORE JUST RETRO?
i think there was a relatively significant age difference between the audiences of Barney and the Power Rangers…
I like Barney. He taught me how to spell.
I was that kid in the wheelchair.
What’s your deal, kid? You’ve been flaunting your “butt-hurtedness” all over these comments. I’m not exactly thrilled by these myself (though I do appreciate the unique hoodie design), but damn, I just watched you whine in seven different posts about people liking something that you don’t.
seriously where can you get this?!?
Cant wait till china starts mass producing reasonably priced knockoffs!
Word.
im sure that this photo will give me nightmares, maybe not tonight nor tomorrow but it will…… i always hated the power rangers with everything i had
I’m sorry. why? The monsters?
Rita.
Rita look like and still looks like my aunt audrey. Yikes
Okay, I don’t understand why the haters hate the Power Rangers so much. It was 20 years ago and you either grew up with it or you didn’t. There really isn’t anything to hate; it was just a kid’s show.

Why is the red the only metallic one? And why don’t they have pants?
My wife and I both like these. It’s a shame they’re so expensive.
I have never been turned on more by an article of clothing since the invention of string bikinis.
I’m going to buy one just so I can wear it and piss all you haters off! >:)
lmao i think i may join you on that one. screw haters!
I R upstart 1, nia how
