It’s cute how he said he was going to lay out a plan for the future, but what came out of his mouth instead were empty statements void of all substance.
Like starting out with vague goals (“we need to make America stronger”), coupled with meaningless plans for how to reach them (“by helping the middle class”), while avoiding tellings us about the policies to implement them (“by making jobs stronger”), and concluding with something meaningless (“and secure our position in the world economy”).*
*These are representative phrases, not exact quotes.
