I did this for nearly a year, with differing roles. For me it was as a male student, hungover at the urinal, for her, it was the cleaning lady working on the urinal next to mine.
No biggie.
Women in the men’s room doesn’t have the same “problem factor” for men that men in the women’s room seems to have for women.

something similar actually happened to me once, but it was my professor who walked into the women’s room.

And then your professor gives you an F for your incorrect use of “your” instead of “you’re”
and “its” instead of “it’s”
and “there’s” instead of “there are”
better than walking into woman’s restroom and getting send straight into hospital…..just sayin….
nah there was a male professor who walked into the women’s room while I was there back when I was in university, he just looked sort of confused and I pointed out it was the women’s room, no biggie.
You’re in college and can’t spell “you’re.”

Oh, something like this almost happend to me. I was standing in front of a door which appeared to be the door to the staircase. Now you need to know that this building has an H-shaped corridor. Now, there are two doors two the staircase (which are on two of the four corridor ends) and two bathrooms (for women and men) which got their doors at two corridor ends as well. Now, given that the staircase doors and the bathroom doors look exactly the same in that building, you can only distinguish them by the sign next to the door. For the restrooms, the signs read “women” and “men”, for the staircase they’re just empty. Well, now the sign on the women’s room in ground floor is GONE. And I happend to get out of a room on the opposite side of the corridor and I wanted to get to the staircase. I am very thorough, so I double-checked twice that I wasn’t entering the women’s room. Each of the four times I looked, I saw no sign, so I got in. And I suddenly noticed that there was a RESTROOM behind the door, not the STAIRCASE. I turned around immediately and fortunately, there was noone else.
Btw, this happend at the CS building at FAU. I would be great if this sign could be fixed. Really, I am paying €542 per semester for studying and the university can’t afford a new restroom sign.
