Once again, the fact that the “joke” has a “phone” in it does not make it an “autocowreck”. It doesn’t even make it a “fail”.

I like how the android technology in the TNG universe is so “futuristic” that Data looks exactly human, and yet Geordi looks like he’s wearing a fashionable bucket handle.

When they do a Visor in reality, it WILL have a phone, calculator, e-mail and etc in it. And some will whine it does not have %not-yet-invented-feauture%.
Android is the middle guy. And android is a OS that Google uses (based on Linux).
And watching at corded phone… When we have bluetooth, it is just funny as it is.
