Flutes are called woodwinds because they were originally made out of wood. Same for clarinets. Clarinets are called woodwinds because they use a wood reed.

Very nice beat boxing, but as for her flute beatbox.. much better execusion. She beat boxed right through good tonality with the flute.

I normally don’t read comments because people invariably crap all over anything. I watched this while admiring the level of skill it must take to do this, and thought “surely there won’t be haters this time.” I was wrong.
I guarantee nobody who responded with a “meh” can do this.
How can you guarantee that?
For those of you too young to appreciate the genius of Tull, I pity them. As for this girl, she has some skills, really good. As a flute player who played Tull songs, I appreciate her!

Anyone who says hers is better then the other two is clearly not listening, She’s using a simple beatbox pattern in between notes, You’ll also notice when she does the more complex patters she pulls away from the flute. While the two guys play through complex beatbox patters and flute rhythms.
they said she maintains the flute tone better. which is true. the others are very airy.
Either way, it’s pretty cool. The flute has a very unusual sound throughout some of the video; is that an Asian thing, or is this not a standard flute?
…and by “Asian thing”, I mean some sort of airway or embouchure technique associated with that part of the world.
