Seems super-glued. There’s no way the one in the center (big rock balanced on top of tiny one) is balanced without the use of some adhesive. Unless it has a partially hollow inside, the shape wouldn’t uphold to gravity.
Dibbz is naive. This is a past time that some people take rather seriously. It is rather eppic, but not imposible to someone who has spent enough time practicing.
and what is a life? poor choice of words since a person may choose to spend their “life” as they choose, not as others see fit
check yourself before you wreck yourself.
I have seen similar balancing stones on the beach in Umhlanga, South Africa. We watched the guy do it. It takes lots of patience but it is possible. regardless of whether the artist in the above used adhesive or shopped the pic – It is still a beautiful image and definately a WIN
I do this kind of stuff all the time, and particularly enjoy making them appear unlikely. The more impossible it seems, the better. The ones in the photo are not only possible without any kind of adhesive, but they aren’t particularly difficult.
May be a natural occurence…
true, saw that in a video game somewere

Every object has a centroid young grasshopper.
I was gonna say the same thing.
People are very naive/stupid to think this is real, it’s VERY clearly super glue.

Kind of like how some people with a steady, patent hand build huge houses of cards that look impossible.
Wow, someone has bit to much time on their hands. I’d say they need to get a life but, at least they were outside… lol

Whoa, this rocks!
*these
*stones
has been photoshopped,
depth of field WAAY off,
stone ‘wall’ in background in focus, foreground in focus, yet out of focus in places in between?
poor fake……….
i agree. it’s so easy to tell by the pixels. needless to say i have seen a few shops in my day. but shooping this one was truly a art
also look at the shadow on the pile farthest to the left.
I’ve seem similar ones in real life, and I’m pretty sure those weren’t shopped. They look pretty ridiculous, but they are definitely NOT glued.
If you’ve been to the CNE at Toronto, they’ve had a guy doing this on the spot. It seems to take ALOT of patience.
Possibly improbable.
Why does the one in the middle seem to be using one of the Sankara Stones from Temple of Doom?
Kali MAAA
Stanley Park in Vancouver!
this is some OCD BS right here

Google “Rock Balancing”. Lots of pics and info about the hobby.
Look up Andy Goldsworthy. It’s art.
any small wind would knock that down in a hurry unless there is something else holding it together.
Reblogged this on Accordingtoleanne's Blog.

Looks like Andy Goldsworthy’s work.
Aw, and that tiny ostrich is going to knock them all down…wait…those are just more stones.
Does anyone else see the tiny ostrich?
Suddenly, a wild storm appears.
