The comments at Amazon are great! For example:
“I love this knife set, as I have medical condition where my handgrip size changes in relation to the Fibonacci series”
“The nesting design is also eminently practical and space efficient. I highly recommend it to anyone who cannot afford sufficient storage space in their kitchen because they spent $1,000 on 4 knives”
Nice looking, but a b*tch to keep clean. Just look at the sharp angle where the knife-points will rest — where all kinds of cr*p will accumulate — and the gap the size of that small knifes handle. Using them will be hazardous to your health.
In short: Designer stuff, not to be used in the real world.
Not any worst then other knife sets. I can easily clean the set and block, but I know what a bottle brush is. Also if you are so worried about cleanliness, just think of a regular knife block. Thin groves going deep in the wood, you can never guarantee to clean 100%.
Although in this case, it may be justified. Sharpening, by very definition, grinds some of the edge off of the knife – making it a fraction smaller. It’ll eventually ruin the neatly fitting design of the set, depending on how often you use (and consequently sharpen) them.
The whole knife set just looks inpractical in general, I can’t even imagine how it would be possible to get the little knife out without cutting yourself. The knives also look ugly as hell when shown individually (search for “deglon” on Amazon).
This design is about as good as those saucepans with metal handles, they look good but an obvious flaw is discovered when you grab the metal handle after the pan of boiling water has been on a hob for 30 minutes.
^ to metal pan handles, learn to love kitchen towels, there is a reason cooks hoard the things in restaurants. Metal pan handles let you put the pan in even the hottest oven, so are awesome for good cooking. Ya just use a (dry!!!) towel to grab the handle with.
They embedded an idea in the smallest knife, so the largest knife would think it had the idea instead of being told about it?
Or the knives graduated school?

Yea, cool, but not 1 grand cool
it’s a steal now…858 bucks
yo, dawg! i herd u liek knives….

my thoughts exactly.
Why the hell do they cost 1 grand? Either way knifeception looks pretty awesome
I don’t see the point. That’ll make cutting steak a pain in the backside, not to mention cleaning extra parts afterwards.
a knife within a knife within a knife within a knife…. KNIFCEPTION
You copying bastard!!!

Though the set is still a joke at that price.
A grand for stainless steel? No. Never buy stainless steel knives unless you just like throwing knives away when they get dull.
Never mind the wonky design.
o.O … or you just would sharpen them, like any other knife … What stainless steel do you use?!
Yeah this is stainless steel, not a Teflon coating. It’s the same stuff all the way through. Sharpen off the coating, it’s still stainless steel.
It’s called a sharpening stone. Get acquainted.

lol. check out the reviews ^^ there is one from dexter lol^^
Sombody watched too much Final Fantasy: Advent Children and thought they could make a knife set that worked like Cloud’s sword and still be practical.
How do you get the ones in the middle out without taking the whole set apart?
And the smallest one looks like it it has a horrible handle shape for actually using it.

Perfect for guys like me…
Have fun with it and dont cut yourself! xD
Dexter”
Stupid price for a bit of stainless steel isn’t it?
I would love Wayne Redhart to review them on Amazon too.

Tongue firmly in cheek.
How do you hold the big knife without the smaller knives falling out and making quick work of your feet? D:
I imagine you would just take them out and set them aside first…
Uh, take out the small knives first?
I’m thinking you just take out the big knife, and it would be hollow in the center. That’s my best guess!
Knife Inception o.o
They embedded an idea in the smallest knife, so the largest knife would think it had the idea instead of being told about it?
Or the knives graduated school?
