This is the second post I’ve seen from this hack. Not denying his talent as a cellist. I’m just sick of gimmicky nonsense that signifies the end of our society. I said it last time and I’ll say it again: do something original and I might be impressed. This guy is the Josh Groban of cellos. . . all skill and no soul.
Original what? A recording of him playing the Haydn Concerto? Pardon him for having some fun with music.
Feel free to link the videos to your awesome original cello playing. For that matter, link some videos to some awesome original cellists that you love so much.
I’m not sure how re-arranging a song and playing it well makes one a “hack.” He was commissioned to write a symphony by the National Endowment for the Arts by the way. Feel free to point out the achievements of your favorite “original” cellists.

Listen to his CD’s , then, if you don’t like gimmicks. Or look at his other videos. He has some really, truly amazing and soulful stuff. Nearer My God to Thee is his best example of that, I think.
It’s times like these that you realise the music always was the best thing about Star Wars. And I’m saying that as a fan of the films. The Phantom Menace may have given us Jar Jar, but it also gave us Duel of the Fates.
The music for Star Wars is so great because John Williams “borrowed” very heavily from Gustav Holst’s orchestral suite, “The Planets.”
