When it rains here, it freakin’ POURS, dude. Monsoon like. Flooded streets and manhole covers pushed up because of the water coming the other way are pretty common during a big rainstorm, believe it or not.

The standard of failblog is really going downhill recently. I’ve posted stuff that’s actually wtf, and this, which isn’t even a fail, gets up on the site? No fair.

What fail — being caught unprepared in the rain is a fail now-a-days — not even sure it is an umbrella, though it looks like one – but it takes two hands to open a ‘full’ type – meaning she’d have to set her stuff onto the wet ground – fail blog is failing more & more
It takes one hand to open automatic umbrellas. And they’re inexpensive to obtain.
That said, I’m with the “it’s probably broken” crowd. Either that or it’s just drizzling and she didn’t feel like bothering to open the umbrella all the way, which isn’t a fail, it’s just being lazy (which isn’t always a fail if it doesn’t hurt anything yet saves time and effort).

Rhianna did a song in 2007 titled Umbrella. I checked the lyrics and did not see instructions for opening one. The repeat lyric is “under my umbrella” but the gal in the picture IS under the umbrella.
What’s really amazing is how much time whoever posted this has caused us all to spend trying to understand and analyze it. I’m beginning to wonder if maybe I’M the fail here.
