I dunno about clever, but it’s in response to the Met trotting out the same tired old bollocks about “we have the right to use rubber bullets if you don’t let us deprive you of your civil liberties”.
I mean, I didn’t see where in the lawbooks it said “It shall be the sovereign right of any jackhole with a whine to occupy public spaces and deny them to other members of the public, because obviously you’re soooo much more important than anyone else”, but I’m sure if you look hard, it’s actually a civil liberty!
Go back to government class or better yet, read the Constitution of the USA. It states the RIGHT of the people to protest. Got any other Fascist ideas there spunky?
Too bad he’s not carrying a sign that says, “If I wanted corporate largesse to end, I would throw away my iPhone, not support AT&T by using one ever again; I’d encourage all my friends with Verizon and Sprint and T-Mobile to toss theirs also. We’d quit going to Starbucks to formulate these silly gatherings against corporate greed because enough of us unemployed indolents would have stopped supporting their businesses that they couldn’t be greedy anymore. I’d also start doing something morally responsible, to show the rest of the world that I really am able to something morally responsible. I’d find those who’ve been raping the women at these gatherings and bring them to justice. I’d use my voice to call all the other occupiers to clean up the areas where they’ve been instead of making it look worse than Haiti after an earthquake. We’d demonstrate peacefully on public grounds, going through the proper channels to get permits and police protection rather than flaunting our so-called freedoms to demean, despise and desecrate what’s been put in place to protect ALL people, not just the spoiled rich kids who have nothing else better to do than sit around all day making everyone else miserable.”
Well, it would take too big a sign to say all that.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but that would only be relevant if this was actually an occupy… protest. Which it isn’t, it’s the student protests against tuition fees, so…
Nivek, I guess he’s already not using most of the american companies you’ve mentioned in your biased neo-con comment. And I bet he’s usually working a fulltime job like everybody else. And you have no idea what that particular protest was all about.
I really urge all US republicans to finally shut up and allow us more clever, conscious and aware people to make the world a better place.
A bunch of “liberal arts” majors are going to “make the world a better place” by smoking weed, singing songs, “twinkling” their fingers, and then rioting when they don’t get free s**t.
Sure. Why not. And unicorns will fly out of my a**.
You only see what the media WANTS you to see. Until you actually experience you have no clue. You ever been to a protest? I have and not only do the conervative use “plants” to undermind the protest, they also hire off duty cops to stir up trouble. I been there, saw it first hand. Cops are dirty liers along with the businesses that hire them. JP Morgan/Chase bank dontated 4.6 million dollars to NYPD. You think the NYPD wont protect that cash cow by killing innocent people? They have.
At the last UK general election 65.1 % of Brits turned out to vote.
At the last US presidential election 61.7 % of Americans turned out to vote.
Who needs to drag their asses to the voting booth?
This is the student protests about tuition fees. The people it affects didn’t have the vote at the time of the election, so that doesn’t really have anything to do with it. Demonstrations like this are the only way a large group of people’s opinions can actually be heard – as because we don’t have the vote the government can do whatever it likes to us because we have very little influence in the elections, so they don’t have to worry about losing our votes.
Way too many fascists on this comment section. Makes me sick. Spoonfed cretinous Tories that want to cut everything down and spit on Freedom. And they have the gaul to talk about Democracy. You have to laugh. Sitting at home paying tax to criminal bankers is obviously the way forward. One day, I hope the rubber bullets find your mouths.
British police have been talking about using rubber bullets.
The London protesters only set up outside St Paul’s because they were not allowed to set up where they wanted (Paternoster Square, which is a public space only if you want to do some shopping, not if you look a bit scruffy or weird: than it becomes a private space with its own laws).
It’s always a private space because it’s privately owned with no right of access, but like many business premises the public generally aren’t denied access when their use is compatible with the owners goals (i.e commerce).
Sorry I’m afraid this is lost on me, who was planning to shoot him here? I think these ninety nine percenters are taking their persecution complex up to comical levels now.
Even the huge amount of dubstep videos on youtube are outmatched by the numer of times I encounter CoD ads or references, on the internet or outside – in ONE day.
I personally see a lot more about Battlefield 3, which is a much better game, but that’s probably because I spent so much time on BF3 websites before the game came out that the spyware caught up to me. Anyway, f*** cod
saying “COD” is generalizing. COD4 and Black Ops, were actually good games, COD4 being the best ever IMHO. Now, MW2 was so-so, but MW3 did not improve much on MW2, so it doesn’t really justify its price tag. Now I had never been a fan of the Battlefield series, with only BF2142 and BFBC2 as personal experience, but BF3 is actually engaging, not laggy, and looks good on my outdated graphics card. If I have any complaints is that Origin has a tendency to disconnect often.
Well I’ve never liked Cod, always played Battlefield since BF 1942 came out in 2002 and have purchased every Battlefield since. You can say I’m a hardcore Battlefield fan. Never understood why the MW games sold so much, they’re so arcade-y and unrealistic that it always looked much inferior to Battlefield games (to me). You’re right about one thing: MW3 is a copy-paste of MW2, I always make fun of my friends who spent 60 bucks on it
@Flyndaran;
In the UK we vote for a person to represent their constituency, doing the things for which we elected them.
Once in Parliament, our constituent is forced to toe the PARTY LINE, regardless as to the wishes of the British People who voted them into power. Is this really a Democracy?
Saw that on the day
I don’t get it. This is clever …. how?
I dunno about clever, but it’s in response to the Met trotting out the same tired old bollocks about “we have the right to use rubber bullets if you don’t let us deprive you of your civil liberties”.
You’re right!
That is a great observation.
Go back to government class or better yet, read the Constitution of the USA. It states the RIGHT of the people to protest. Got any other Fascist ideas there spunky?
I suggest you go back to geography class, where you might learn that London is not part of the USA.
Yeah, I know, they should really be using live rounds. People who get shot with rubber bullets complain too much – corpses are a lot more copacetic.
OWS is so gay.
He’s gonna be nabbed by the LAPD (London Authority Police Department)
Too bad he’s not carrying a sign that says, “If I wanted corporate largesse to end, I would throw away my iPhone, not support AT&T by using one ever again; I’d encourage all my friends with Verizon and Sprint and T-Mobile to toss theirs also. I’d stand right next to him with a sign :
[TL;DR]You mean, an “I’m too ignorant to read” sign? It fits you.
EPIC FAIL
they dont have AT&T, verizon or sprint in the UK
FAIL FAIL ERPIC FAILLUREEE
Take a breath.
Actually, don’t.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but that would only be relevant if this was actually an occupy… protest. Which it isn’t, it’s the student protests against tuition fees, so…
LOL call of duty xD
you mean “protester”?
Nivek, I guess he’s already not using most of the american companies you’ve mentioned in your biased neo-con comment. And I bet he’s usually working a fulltime job like everybody else. And you have no idea what that particular protest was all about.

+1
Republicans used to be just stupid, now they are stupid and evil.
“make the world a better place”
lol
I know, right? :p
A bunch of “liberal arts” majors are going to “make the world a better place” by smoking weed, singing songs, “twinkling” their fingers, and then rioting when they don’t get free s**t.

BOOM! HEAD SHOT!!!!!!!! AHA HA HA HA HA!!

“You ever been to a protest?”
Yep. They’re even more pathetic in person.
“Cops are dirty liers along with the businesses that hire them.”
The word is “liars”. Spell-check fail.
Also, pull up your pants – your bias is showing.
Maybe instead of useless protesting, they actually drag their asses to the voting booth and try a little democracy.
At the last UK general election 65.1 % of Brits turned out to vote.

where is the sport fail?
Hmm I like irony of his sign. Wondering if this was to do with the occupy London or about the Student fees rising yet again.
Students.
Fail: British Police dont carry guns. No chance of getting shot.
Unless there is a terrorist threat or higher when tactical squads are called in. On this lot, no chance of wasting bullets. FAIL.
You fail. The police were armed with rubber bullets. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-15625213
“Stop, or I’ll say stop again”! ….Robin Williams

I’ve often encountered people with the learning difficulties you’re imitating, it’s not nice to mock them.

If I wanted to “shout” I would be playing Skyrim

Only political arguments, I’m proud of you guys. And to think I was expecting a bunch of CoD vs. BF3 flaming/trolling.
Oh wait…
WHAT HAVE I DONE!?!
Damnit, Call of Duty, we meet again…
Even the huge amount of dubstep videos on youtube are outmatched by the numer of times I encounter CoD ads or references, on the internet or outside – in ONE day.
if only the game was decent…

Playing Call of Duty all day is probably the reason “life is so unfair!” in the first place.
but that means you can shoot him while he’s playing COD
Ghillie in the window!

It’s funny because if I wanted to play call of duty I would shoot myself…
