I was forced to use a Macbook at school today. I mean, I’ve used Apple computers before, and while I like the familiarity of mine, most aren’t that bad.
But this Macbook I had to use – it was AWFUL! I was nearly screaming in frustration by the end of the period. The keys were too easy to push down – I’d just rest my fingers on them and type something – it wasn’t steady on the desk, and that infernal mousepad…ohh. Sensitive to the slightest touch and spazzing out whenever I put more than one finger on it. And for no discernible reason, whenever I tried to left click, it would right click instead! It was so annoying!!
Sorry. I needed to rant. And since you seem to be against Mac, I thought you might be someone to rant to.
Yea, I feel the same way when ever i have to use ANY school computer, especially a mobile one. This is why i carry my macbook pro in my book bag with me everywhere, but i use a PC for gaming for obvious reasons, both a are good. both have their flaws, but they are nothing major. Though macs do cost a lot. There is that…
My experience with trying to print a file from my USB stick on a school’s Mac:
1) OK, where the heck is the power button? *search for a while* Oh, it’s a small, hidden spot on the back of the screen. OK then…
2) Wait for it to start up……..
3) Insert my stick. Nothing happens. Remove and try again. Oh, it can’t read this. Right, Mac doesn’t support the worldwide standard FAT32 that every other device ever supports. Well then I guess I can’t do anything!
It would depend on what he is looking at , maybe some moran posted their pcitures sidways. I don’t use a mac but do they have the same feature as some monitors that if you flip it sideways the picture automaticaly flips?
I don’t know why you come up with the idea that macs don’t support fat32. I use fat32 all the time and I never have a problem on my Mac Pro and MacBook Pro. I also use NTFS with both and also have no problem via a third party driver.
Talking about image sw, notice all the connections are on the LEFT side on a Macbook.
This pic shows connections on the RIGHT where the CD drive is, so seems shoped to me!
This post’s just another kid’s attempt at making fun of something he was too stupid to figure out but was sure he got better than anyone on earth.
Failblog fail.
One of the laptop tricks that everyone seems to have missed is that the new OSs have the ability to rotate so you can hold your macbook or pc laptop like a book when reading an eBook. so who is really the moron?
I have a feeling the guy in the image just posted it to be funny due to the name Macbook. I also have the feeling that whoever wrote the story on this newspaper took the image off google or something.
I believe the pic was supposed to be a joke. Not a great joke, mind you – but a joke nonetheless.
I like the part where it is supposed to be a joke.
That’s a pretty great part.
That’s what she said!
Wait – did she say ‘it’s a great part’ – or ‘it was supposed to be a joke’?
Only a Mac user could fail to get a joke like this.

“Just works” my arse.
Mac have supported FAT since OS 9.
so.. his school is using those legacy mac devices that don’t even support FAT
what do you really expect from people that pay that much for a craptop?
He is reading that great novel, “Qwerty”, by U.I. Op
this is a win
I have used my laptop like this. I rotated the image so I could view portrait oriented images full screen (Manga).
^ True story. I opened a PDF for a game manual sideways and held it like that for better effect.
Mr. Mac guy up there, though, is probably doing none of these things.
Apparently, he took the book in Macbook too literally.
What? It’s a book, isn’t it? A book on Macintosh apples?
See it even has an apple on the cover.
not a fail, I also turn screen 90 degree to read ebooks
I don’t want to live on this planet anymore.
I think that’s what devices like the Kindle are for.
Unless you don’t feel like buying a Kindle, and instead just use the Kindle desktop app (Yo, dawg…).

Printed books have this feature. Flip the book sideways, and the picture flips sideways, too.

Except that it had to be a third-party driver.
I know, it doesn’t really matter, it’s like comparing Apples and Oran-
Oh, wait.
What do you expect from someone who loves dumbed down laptops?
There is not IMAGE ROTATE SOFTWARE on Winchows?

Genius, a menu. Finally a good use for a mac book
The only fail is that he’s using a mac…
