This isn’t laziness at all? Yes, the truck may have a guide before the roller but an operator who’s slightly more intelligent than an amoeba would have stopped the truck and moved the log. Or have been lazy.
Have you ever seen what happens to the line when the truck stops? It’s a P.I.A., and besides, there’s a crew that will go and fix this in a few seconds without it being a big deal. I am beginning to believe people here have never worked a day in their lives. Not a fail, just something that happens and gets fixed. Just because the people here can’t fathom the idea that this sort of thing happens and gets fixed regularly is no reason to call this fail.
Considering these fails made my local news outlet I don’t think YOU know what you’re talking about. They’re supposed to have a crew that goes ahead of them and remove it. Our local crew said “that’s not our job that’s the street cleaning crews job” and it was a big news todo around here.
uh yeah it is laziness. The paint truck stays at a constant 2-5 miles per hour with grounds crew both front and back. They could have moved the stick out of the way. Quit being a hater/troglodyte
Now hold on… Let’s assume the guy running the sprayer wanted to move the branch. He would have to stop the tuck get out and move it. In order to get out in traffic they would have to have 2 flagers, a mile’s worth traffic cones, two impact absorbing trucks, and file forms 1027 and 1043 with the head office, they would also have to do a full enviromental impact stud and hold public meetings about what to do with branch waste. The republicans would get involved and scream about how the branch does not deserve welfare, and finally three years later he can move the branch. Personally I’d go around too.
why make the basha gainst republicans? i think the democrats would be the first to start yelling how about the proper way to handle the stick so that it doesnt hurt the wildlife. then you would hear about the carbon foot print because they touched the stick.
republicans are like 2-3years after demos, thereby it would get moved 7 years down the road.
Zomg Who robbed my photobucket without my permission. This is a funny story if anyone cares to hear it. Well to bad you’re gonna hear it anyways. This was taken when I worked for a road construction company in NE Alabama, that should explain a lot, as Network Admin and AV consultant. Somewhere in between Gadsden and Talladaega my boss calls me and tells me to be on the look out for any imperfections in the road we had just completed and said we had recieved several calls from locals complaining about something. So going down the road I spotted it and quickly took a picture for submission for our company news letter. It soon then made it’s way to our training materials on what not to do. And now it is here and labeled as ultimate I know I’m awesome. Just to let everyone feel better the stick was picked up and released back into the wild unharmed.
Not a fail. why? As follows:
The machine has to stop the entire painting process for driver to get out, move the branch, etc, which makes it hard to restart. Provided the lane meets the minimum/maximum width requirements, not causing a 30+ minute delay in a stretch of road that could be a key highway or cross country route is preferable.
Looking at the road, it appears to be 2 lanes wide (one-way, opposite directions). This most likely was done with a single machine in a single stretch. There probably wasn’t even people in front of or behind, as it could easily be a closed road during restriping.
To the person suggesting causing a gap, Highways are required to be stripped completely or marked using reflective markers for no more than 30 days after an improvement project. The driver and ground crews would be not only violating regulation, but failing to perform there job.
It isn’t necessarily a single-lane road, as most Euro roads do not employ yellow lines, so it could easily be a single lane road in Europe. Just sayin’.
Lol I love how people assume road work employs the worlds brightest.
It was a difficult challange for me to meet people in the company that either spoke english let alone get out of the truck for any reason possible. I one time had to borrow a crew truck to go between asphalt plants to find they use gatorade bottles as a bathroom for both reasons. Road crew = Durp crew
oh yeah the pixels I see thems _ omg it’s starting to look like a double rainbow_ nope , you fail. Btw it’s obvious they didn’t paint the words fail on the road. So i’m gonna say some photoshop was needed.
So stupid, I am stumped.
So great, I am happy.
wood agree wit the two of you.
Yay! Well, have a great weekend, bro!
as this is a nice fail, it’s also about hundreds of thousands years old
I think that’s why it is labeled, “CLASSIC”.
It is a classic, anything on a computer over two years old is considered classic! but as you see it has now reached ultimate level and still climbing.
Absolutely love it. This is a legit fail. Thank you
Achievement unlocked: Master of sloth!
lol government union labor
This isn’t laziness at all, the stripe painting truck has a guide before the roller that keeps it from getting caught on obstructions.
You guys really make yourselves look ignorant when you flap your jaws without knowing what you’re talking about.
yea Mr.smart-ass but it is still a fail

shut up.
Blah blah blah, excuses excuses. End result, couldn’t even paint a line straight with all that fancy equipment, and probably 20 men working the crew.
uh yeah it is laziness. The paint truck stays at a constant 2-5 miles per hour with grounds crew both front and back. They could have moved the stick out of the way. Quit being a hater/troglodyte
You’ve never worked on a road crew and have no idea what you are talking about. You are teh failz.
troll

And yet he didn’t. That’s why he’s lazy.
that’s why S/HE’s lazy. it could have been a woman…right? no?
a woman would have painted over the branch and drove into the grass and kept on going… if she was asain she wouldn’t have even got to the branch.
How about you stop painting and leave a 3′ blank spot?
Probably can’t do that for some mechanical reason.

“the stick was picked up and released back into the wild unharmed.”
.
But what about the psychological trauma it must have suffered?
Well as far as traumatic compensation goes I believe we only made things worse when we cut down the rest of it’s family for future expansions.

see above story. NE Alabama
How about this idea: Clear obstructions from the roadway BEFORE you start painting it from the beginning.
^ this ^
that’s a win idea there mang

When I lived in Virginia I saw (more than once)roadkill with the stripe painted over it…. shoulda taken a picture, I guess.
you should have, when I was a kid in virginia my sister and I would play a game of count the road kill.
I live in Russia, and this is a normal russian road. It’s so cool that it at least have an asphalt on it.
Surprised no one has considered this might have been photoshopped. It looks very possible.
Oh, I see it. I can tell by the pixels…
oh yeah the pixels I see thems _ omg it’s starting to look like a double rainbow_ nope , you fail. Btw it’s obvious they didn’t paint the words fail on the road. So i’m gonna say some photoshop was needed.
Maybe I should have included the visible “/sarcasm off” tag. Sorry about that.
Funny thing is here in Vancouver, WA I’ve witnessed this, but it was around roadkill.
