adjective
1. being before all others with respect to time, order, rank, importance, etc., used as the ordinal number of one: the first edition; the first vice president.
adverb
5. before all others or anything else in time, order, rank, etc.
6. before some other thing, event, etc.: If you’re going, phone first.
noun
10. the person or thing that is first in time, order, rank, etc.
Well, if you do it right the first time, you won’t need to worry about having a picture of your sign on failblog! Actually, I think it’d be pretty great to have my sign on failblog!
If the fail is the “time” down the side of the sign, then yes, obviously that’s on purpose, just like the “plan ahead” sign where the word ahead has to be crowded or the D is below the other letters. It’s irony, people; it’s not a fail if it’s on purpose, as a joke. Must be an old sign, too; nowadays phone numbers have area codes, since you usually have to dial the area code along with the number, even for local calls.

I think that is on purpose.
I beg to differ.
Your on purpose
Actually I was an oopsy but thanks for trying to make me feel better.
My on purpose?
No You’re on purpose.
It’s not fail if it’s the whole point of the sign.
Yep! This is not a fail. This is true!
