Aside from trolling, he is saying that american food sucks. This is funny in that he says ‘greasy’ american food, but I’ve had quite a bit of authentic mexican (no, not from so called authentic restaurants) and alot of it is very greasy, especially chorizo, which I love, and most american foods are not greasy. Except when prepared in a lousy way.
Actually I much prefer Americanized Mexican food found in So Cal, this is after trying more traditional Mexican food in southern Arizona. But regarding this poll, Chinese Mexican fusion is a real thing and they have it in Tucson AZ where I live now.
Well, I guess turn about is fair play. I don’t know how many times I’ve been to a Chinese restaurant that was staffed almost entirely by those of Hispanic persuasion, thanking God I had the foresight to learn some Spanish in my life.
Menlo Park, California. Sorry, I should have mentioned that. I wish I could remember the name of that place. It was a small hotdog place that was run by a chinese husband & wife. When they added chinese food & burritos to the menu it did really well.
Damn used to live in Wallingford CT, went to Eli’s, Sushi Palace, and East Melange (before it was shut down by the health dept) in Hamden. Never saw taco king. Sounds interesting. Is it on dixwell?
Just so that you know, the city of Mexicali, in Mexico, borders with Calexico, CA (remember the Easter earthquake), is a city known for its Chinese food and carne asada tacos. So in that particular instance, this picture would not be a fail, it would be a fact.
I wonder if the Mex is any good ?
F U, is tastier than your mom’s ass and the greasy american food together PUTO
So that’s a yes or ?

I enjoy Mexican food… and it’s usually great!

Mexican food is made out of Chinese! That explains a lot.
Well, mexican food has always been made by chinese slave labour!
By tha way silver, now that i think about it, ur gravatar looks like a moon thats turned into a pacman…
Ha. That’s all I’m gonna be able to see now , it’s like the duckbunny.
Cannot unsee!!
Ironically sometimes the best regional food is found in a place that specializes in an entirely different regional food.
At least it’s not Taco Bell.
They specialize in crap, and they definitely do a superior job of creating crap. They have some of the worst crap on the market!!
Least its not Del Taco.
Do taco bell even sell tacos or just processed cr@p like mcdonalds?
Chexican!
Is that the Canadian Zach Galifianakis ?
We have their sister restaurant right here in Denver, minutes away from where I love. “Madrid Restaurant” serves Chinese food!
Someone has a dream of someday opening a restaurant. They decide they will serve Chinese food. So they name it . . . Madrid???
Where do you love ?
I love in Denver!
P
so then
……
its mexican food , made out of chinese people O.o

There used to be a restaurant in Honolulu called Goldstein’s Mexican Restaurant.
We call this Chexican!
No no no señior, is called chixican, is a I no E
i know this is a joke, but i take the legacy of tianamen square seriously.
i guess i’m boring.
There used to be a place in Menlo Park that made excellent Moo Shu Pork Burritos.
Menlo Park, the mall, or Menlo Park Terrace, NJ?
(‘Cause I’m from there… but just don’t remember it).
‘From’ meaning I lived there for a while.

You don’t remember where you grew up?
There really is a Mexican-Chinese restaurant in Phoenix, AZ. Check out the website….

Go to Taco King in Hamden, Connecticut. Interesting teriyaki chicken quesadillas. And a buddha statue with a sombrero in the restaurant.

There are a lot of Chinese-Peruvian restaurants by me and their food is awesome.
Failblog fails. Chimichanga is not mexican, it’s from Argentina (which is just a little far far away…)
Ah yes, that is in Carlsbad, NM hilarious.
Reminds of a restaurant that used to be in San Antonio called Wok-a-Mole. It was a Chinese/Mexican buffet.
Speaking of Taco Bell, in their latest attempt at opening locations in Mexico, the advertised themselves as serving “American Food”.
Can they legally call their product “food”?
And Wok-a-Mole is hysterical!!! Great name!!
Could have been ‘Wang-a-Mole,’ but that was the shop next door.
*ahem*
Guacamole. Say it out loud. Now say Wok-a-mole (I can’t get the accent over the e).
You, know, I didn’t mean for that to come across as b!tchy as that did…..
Avis? You still there?
No, really…
I am. I’m having a weighty conversation with Ryan over on the other fail. We have maintained a level of respect that the subject matter deserves.
I know… just was reading it.
Quite a topic, huh?
CHEXICAN!
I’m glad to see Cheech and Chong working together again. Be sure to ask for a table in the smoking section.
I’m Mexican and Filipino… This is hilarious!:D
Um here in Phx AZ we have a place called Chino Bandito. Chinese Mexican and it was featured on Triple D with Guy Fieri.

One of the best restaurants in the US is China Poblano: http://www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/taste/restaurant-collection/china-poblano.aspx
It’s a wicked fusion menu. Chef Jose Andres is maybe the best working chef in the US right now.
There was a place… They did Mexican, Chinese, and Hot Dogs. Their “Mu shu pork burrito” was REALLY GOOD.
Should be called Nacho Ho.
Whoa! What an awesome post! Looks great.
OMG, it’s the Magical Lantern! Carlsbad, eses!
Really love the blog. It’s adorable!
