Whether it’s photoshopped or not, the idiots in Cleveland can’t spell. It’s got some of the worst public schools in the country, and besides, the person the city was named after was Moses Cleaveland, not Cleveland.
They polluted the Cuyahoga River so much it caught fire nine times. NINE. You’d think once would be enough.
Durr, yep, us idiots in Cleveland have never done anything right! Like invent gas masks, first x-ray machines, first blood transfusion, first electric street lights & traffic signals, put the red border around Life magazine (hey, they’re not all huge things), was an automotive pioneer, home of one of the world’s foremost art museums/orchestras/hospitals. Nor do we have some of the finest actors (Paul Newman, etc). Also home to NASA’s Glenn Research Center which was instrumental in the space program (Gee, those PhD’s must be real dummies, huh?).
Also, while it is true that Moses Cleaveland was the mans name, it’s common knowledge that it was shortened to fit on the banner headline of a newspaper at the time.
And, while it is also true that the Cuyahoga river did catch fire several times in the 20th century, so did dozens of other big city rivers due to rampant pollution. At least we got the EPA from that – and now the river is among the cleanest.
Besides, you DO realize that Clevelanders didn’t necessarily print the sign (if it is legit)? it was ODOT (Ohio Dept. of Transportation, in Columbus).
It’s not shopped… my username goes to news article about the misspelling. It was at OH-82 and I-71 in Strongsville. Google Street View has it spelled correctly, though.

Convenient – it’s been replaced now.
Wheres the old sign now? did it died?

Actually, I live in Ohio. Off of 71. This is def photoshopped.
Uh, I live in Ohio, too… and I-71 goes from Cleveland through to Cincinnati. So, you live along 250 miles?

Nope, fools all.
Schmuck.
I love my hometown… I hate it when people attack it
I know we have our mistakes & bad parts, but hell, so does every city in history.
Glad to know that ODOT has everything messed up all over the state and not just the Cincinnati area.

Pretty sure that’s in Tennessee

Looks like LeBron wasn’t the only person in Cleveland to take his talents elsewhere.
HAH!
That was funny it made my day!
Fantastic vid
“Norht”
:D:D
This train is carrying signs out of Cleveland
Ok, it’s official, Failblog is no longer a comedy blog. They’re that annoying kid that points out every tiny thing that’s wrong.
hmm, I live near cleveland, and I think this would have been noticed, if not by me, by the news (who likes to point out stuff like this)
Googlicious

Cleverland – to the Norht!
You would think the numnuts putting up the sign would NOT put it up if the spelling was wrong!! Way to go ODOT!!
