Good for you. Considering failblog doesn’t post any of this and only users who spot pics on other sites tend to upload, that leads to failblog posting content you may have already seen. I’d personally rather just visit failblog to filter out all the crap.

I agree this isn’t a fail…people have trouble understanding that just because something is ironic, or otherwise crudely funny does not make it a fail…someone has to attempt something in order for there to be a fail…now, if there were a sign or a t-shirt or something that made some reference to the three girls being on a diet, or the one on the left being on a diet while the other two were not…THEN it would be a fail

But being overweight does increase the chance of developing Heart Disease, Diabetes and a load of other health problems. A small minority of overweight people (like your grandmother) may get away with it but the majority don’t and do die sooner than a person who has eaten a healthy diet and generally looked after themselves better.

Apart from crap like this another reason I’m favouring reddit now is that the page on Cheezburger sites take so long to load. They spend ages looking up third party cookies at sites I don’t use (twitter, facebook etc.). It’s so busy doing that it takes two or three attempts to load the page properly.
You must have dial-up or a slow internet connection because I don’t have a problem with these pages loading slowly.
You must be using Internet Exploder. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox both have a fabulous add-on called AdBlock Plus. I see no ads. My pages load quickly. I’m not gloating.
You should run Firefox and install the No Script and Ad Block ad ons. You don’t get the ads on the sides and it runs fast.

Lordy. Where do you guys come up with this crap? She is obese, not morbidly obese. Being that fat will not necessarily kill you young. The statistics on it are about 40% will die young.
Try scrounging around in the US medical grant studies white papers or in the Global applied clinical trials white papers. Grab Google and shake it until you get the real information and not the prepackaged crap coming out of the AMA. (I actually found a message from the US gov to the AMA requesting them to maintain the current attitude about dieting even though the model was wrong.)
The media paints a picture of beauty being women who are just the wrong side of anorexic and men who are impossibly muscled. The dieting industry (a multi billion dollar industry by the way) swears that anything 10 lbs over your target weight is disastrous. The people who should be giving us the right information are being influenced by the US government (who is influenced by the dieting lobby) and the dieting industry.
Dont take my word. Look it up yourself. Being fat will not kill you young unless you have other issues.
Let’s just say that being obese is more likely to give you trouble, but it doesn’t guarantee you will have trouble.
