according to Wikipedia Chinese people eat dog, but are starting to frown on the practice. trying using Google and you will find many disturbing images of Chinese people killing, cooking, and eating dog. I can’t really condemn them since all animals are meat but I don’t think I could do it.
thought this part was disturbing and funny.
“Some Chinese restaurants in the United States serve “imitation dog meat”, which is usually pulled pork, and purportedly flavored like dog meat, e.g. “Northern Chinese Restaurant”, in Rosemead, California”
It is but it doesn’t mean Chinese won’t eat it any more than any other nationality. Also I’ve never known a sushi bar to not serve other and non Japanese dishes. In my area it’s actually pretty common to offer Korean and Chinese items with sushi for those who do not eat sushi.
This is a town over from me. It’s all in the perspective. The front door of sushi corner is cut off on the right side of the picture. Cars drive by in this alleyway from the parking lot to the road going from right to left, so the sign is there for them to read as they approach.

This is right behind my house! The vet clinic is actually only there temporarily — they’re renovating their usual building. And that sushi place has good food…
The general quality of fails on this site has really dropped. I’ve been following FAILBlog for several years now, and I’m really sad that I’m thinking about deleting my bookmark. It’s just not that funny any more.
I have a picture I should post of a sign that has Krystal on the top and Animal Hospital on the bottom. Or maybe the other way around. In any case, that’s more open to interpretation than this picture.
Except it’s generally a standing joke that some Asian foods contain questionable meat items whereas Krystal uses questionable cow and pig parts not random animals…
Unless you count the opossums and other road kill in their burgers.
Last time I check you didn’t take fish to the vet. And sushi wasn’t made out of cats. So I’m failing to see the fail.
Literal much?
Just an FYI…. Asians eat dogs.
Gee Gert, you should have said humans eat goggies.”Asians” are not
only ones.
goggies? *giggles*
*googles “goggies” while wearing goggles*
GREAT GOLLY!
*dances a gogo while listening to Gaga*
Step away from the Gaga man…
Gaga is not great to you?
Gaga is great in small doses. Like pickle juice.
You got a problem with Asians?
Yes/no, they are not the only ones that eat goggies.
Just an FYI Gert…sushi is japanese cuisine and japanese do not eat dogs. Not literal enough Gert?
Ahh.. so you live in a magical land where no one but Japanese eat sushi. Wow.. I had NO idea I’d turned Japanese!
I think I’m turning Japanese, I think I’m turning Japanese, I really think soooo!
So glad to see someone got my VERY old musical reference.
The Vapors.
The real fail is the handicap parking next to an entrance with a couple of stairs.
xD
I’ve never really heard of Asians eating dogs. And I’m Asian myself.

But that’s the Chinese. Sushi is a Japanese delicacy.

“In 2008, Japan imported 5 tons of dog meat from China compared to 4,717 tons of beef, 14,340 tons of pork and 115,882 tons of poultry.” -same article
Wrong! My goldfish just had open heart surgery.
My mollusc died
… so I got a bivalve replacement.
oh c’mon lighten up BF
WHAT THE HELL DID YOU GUYS DO TO FLUFFY!!!????
So THAT’S what happened to my mom’s dog…
Fluffy was a regular. Her avatar is a gold fish.
And she’s been seen about the forums lately so perhaps she’ll stop by later…
…but hopefully not on a plate, rolled in rice and seaweed.
I’ve seen her about lately. And yah, I’d noticed the avatar… Didn’t realize you were referring to her specifically is all.

Could be worse, in Dublin we saw the aquarium was right next to a fish and chip shop.

I agree, but it’s still pretty bizarre for a Krystal to share signage with an animal hospital, huh?
All right, I will give you that one
