» 136 Failures in Communication

  1. jj jet plane says:

Getting in to an honers college, thats umpossible.

  2. TooMuchSugarCoatedCheese says:

This is full of so much fail, it’s not even funny. This is the result of the governments lack of care for education. The MPs of today line their pockets with loads of money but the next generation of MPs is this student who can’t even spell “medium”. Our country is more f**ked than you could ever think.

    • OlderAndWiser says:

Education isn’t about learning anything useful anymore, like spelling.

It’s about making everyone feel special and entitled.

      Oh, and politically correct.

      • TooMuchSugarCoatedCheese says:

A kid learns how to be politically correct and who grows up to be PM and allows black people to come into England and commit crime and let this scum stay because he fears being branded a racist will not help us as much as kid who learns to spell and does not fear from saying black people criminals are scum villians who need wiping off the floor and thus, deport the rubbish and help us build a society that sails somewhere within the confines of commonsense and peace.

        • AnotherSchmoe says:

LOL. I was with you until that little tirade. Heil Hitler much?

          • TooMuchSugarCoatedCheese says:

It’s because you’re afraid of being racist that the world is in the toilet. Black people who commit crimes must be treated like the vile scum they are. I’m concentrating on black people because people like you fear being racist and so these vile scum get away with murder.

            • parksj1 says:

So…white people who commit crime are…ok? Just trying to understand your logic here.

              • TooMuchSugarCoatedCheese says:

Of course I am not saying that, ANYONE who commits a crime is vile scum. Let me give you the example of why I am targeting black people. An illegal immigrant knocks down and kills a child, but he is not deported as he has a right to a family life, depite taking that childs right to a life and her fathers right to a family life. Somewhere in this case I bet a politically correct nutjob ahd something to say and was the reason behind this vile scums victory. That is how bad it is in England.

                • sally says:

i have nothing to ahd to this argument

                • keithybabes says:

Yeah, I’m thinking you’re gonna want to go ahead and cut down on the sugar coated cheese a little there.

                • Eric says:

That didn’t explain why you’re targeting black people.

                  • Avis the Great! says:

He’s doing it because he’s either an idiot, or he’s trying to start a comments war. Which I suppose still makes him an idiot.

                    • TooMuchSugarCoatedCheese says:

I’m just going to quit since everyone here is clearly too stupid to understand anything I’m saying. I am not targetting black people, I am targetting stupid people offended by racism. I’m guessing you are offended by racism so you are at loss.

                      • mads says:

What a terrible thing, to be offended by racism.

                      • Spelling Bee says:

I understand what you are saying completely!. I’m with ya, cheese!

                      • mikebola says:

I… I’m a pretty racist fellow, and I have to say it’s more a lack of education and responsibility. teaching restraint and mental balance from a young age can really help all of the people who cause a lot of crime.
Also, the white kids in the primarily-black community I live in cause about as much harm as the community as a whole, with their nazi graffiti and fire and gun violence. So you’re a moron.

                      • History Nerd says:

Clearly the education system was much better when you went through it, none of that nonsense of political correctness and who gets to be PM, or spelling…

      • nacoran says:

Spelling isn’t really that useful a skill anymore. Knowing to press the spell-check button on your computer, or at least enabling auto correct is. The difference is one type of lesson takes up hours and hours of time a student could be learning thinking skills and the other should only take a couple reminders. If you haven’t learned to use spell check on important documents by the time you are applying for college you have deeper problems than spelling.

Also, spelling skills don’t directly correlate to intelligence. Some brilliant people have been terrible spellers. Einstein, Churchill, Faulkner and a ton of other intellectual heavyweights were terrible spellers. I’ve met some great spellers who couldn’t figure out how to get out of a room if the exit sign was misspelled.

The problem is, spelling is very quantifiable, and we are taught that it is important. There are right or wrong answers, but as a useful job skill it’s not really worth spending much time on. There are of course, exceptions. Knowing the difference between the spelling of two different drugs with similar names is important to a pharmacist. Pharmacy might be a bad profession for a dyslexic. But teaching a kid to think critically can even fix that, whether it’s asking the patient what the drug is for or knowing it’s important to call the doctor and double check. The kind of education that creates good spellers actually doesn’t teach people how to think of new things, just how to do old things, which, unfortunately, becomes outdated very quickly, for instance, when someone invents spell check.

      • crackberry says:

I can’t stress how much I agree with you. :D

        • IceColdTroll says:

So who programs the spell check?

I have to believe this is an elaborate troll; nobody can really be that ffng stupid and operate a mouse and keyboard.

    • Jo says:

Government’s. Though congratulations on getting “their” and “than” correct.

  3. Boontah says:

tell me your secrets, i’ll sell them to the highest bidder ;)

  4. Argus says:

    Oh, good grief!

  5. fuzz on the concept says:

    honer-fied

  6. Bill says:

The person underlining the words missed “appriciate”. Double fail?

  7. Hirayuki says:

    Missed one (at the end).

  8. Elisa says:

Art degree fail. They’re not going very far anyways.

  9. Jambon-X says:

Please post the rest of her email address.

    Thank you.

“Stupid chicks put out.” – Butthead

  10. kthnxybe says:

I was going to defend the poor dear because I have an Aspie kid with dyslexia who is actually very bright and understands what he is being taught, but simply has a very hard time with spelling. But then I saw she wanted to do an art project based on postsecret and now I don’t think she’s ready for college (or, indeed, life).

    • BasementBongo says:

      Also she’s jewish !

    • Gert the Great says:

Perhaps its a youth culture thing we as adults do not get?

    • victo says:

      I also have an Aspie!
Kindergarten so far…I hope spelling won’t be too hard later.
      (Mostly social problems…)

      • Avis the Great! says:

I am on the Aspie spectrum. It’s been a b!tch to deal with.

        • victo says:

What grade are you in, if I may ask?
Wow, I feel like getting into my 6 year old’s head through yours, if that makes any sense….
          Tell me anything, please.
          HAppy to listen.

          • Say g'night, Gracie says:

            Avis is a full-grown bird.
            *nods*

          • Avis the Great! says:

I’m 36 years old, and had to learn a LOT of coping skills. If your kid takes a few extra steps to do something, let them. It’s how they understand it.

            • victo says:

(Very sorry if I’m breaking up the thread, here)
I’m 41 and learning to give him extra time/ space when he needs it. (Knowing why has helped a lot)
              Very happy to meet you.

              • Avis the Great! says:

There are more of us here. Writing is one way to communicate that doesn’t require certain social skills (like the ability to read body language), so it works better sometimes.
There are a number of good books on the subject. I’m sure you’ve read a number of them. May I recommend a day camp for the summer months specifically for kids with similar issues? I didn’t know any other kids with problems like mine as a kid and it was isolating.

                • victo says:

                  I’m not surprised.
I was calculating…as you are 36, we were kids around the same time and it was not very well known, as a diagnosis.
I would love a summer camp for him….but we’ll have to look else where. We’re far enough north in Québec that we have nothing for him. LAst summer, before knowing, we enrolled him in a half day summer camp and he just rotated around the group, like a satalite.
Books, yes, I have a few. On parenting an Asperger child, toilet training (I’m at a loss), an encyclopedia to all things Asperger, a few books where in the authors have the Syndrome.

        • Gert the Great says:

Ah yah, about as much fun as dyslexia for those on the high functioning end. I have massive bouts of total stupidity and people tend to think I’m screwing with them or stop remembering I have smart moments too.

I’m good at body language only on accident, my grandfather had a bad stroke when I was a year old and you had to learn body language and minimal facial expressions to understand what he was getting at.

    • IceColdTroll says:

You mean your kid is an illiterate and abrasive @$$hole.

“Asperger’s” is code for “immature jerk.”
      Dyslexia? Yeah, I’m dyslexic….in Russian.

  11. waggle237 says:

i gets it! he not spel so good! haha! what a maron!

  12. GeneRodmy says:

I found one of those too. Just as funny:

    Deer Mam or sir,
I am tryng to get into the Hi Skool advanced placement class for language arts. Please consider my aplicashun to enrole. I am a good student with good work habits. This class would be good for me to get into a good colage.

    Thank you for your help,

    Roxi

Yeah, and the above letter is a real letter that I recovered from an AP admissions program. It is real. Really.

  13. The Griper says:

The 2nd biggest fail is the spelling…the biggest fail is the inability to use a spell-checker (or Chrome – which has one built in)…

And how did she get “collage” and “college” right…

  14. Richard Whitney says:

    That was a hoax.

  15. Hitman says:

    You missed “appriciate”…

  16. Avis the Great! says:

    Like, say, here maybe!

  17. Erica says:

    You missed ‘appriciate’

    FAIL

  18. Richsponge says:

this is probably fake, unless the red lines were edited in to show how many spelling errors there were. because “choose” is a word

    • Having a Cheeseburger says:

Yes, “choose” is a word, however it’s in the present tense while the sentence clearly is about a previous action. The correct word to use is “chose,” which is the past tense version.

      • Ryan says:

Yes, but browsers only correct spelling errors, not grammar errors. It’s not a Word processor, so it has no concept of correct grammar.

        • Arielllllll says:

usually people who are atleast moderately smart don’t need a word processor to help them with every single word…poor guy …poor stupid stupid guy….

  19. JulianDmoch says:

    Definite troll

  20. cool games says:

    who spelling errors it

  21. Arielllllll says:

i could just imagine his card saying…
” Shh….don’t tell anyone but I’m secretly stupid……don’t even tell me”

  22. IceColdTroll says:

I think the more important point isn’t whether or not this is for real, but that no-one challenges the credibility of it — that is, real or not, it certainly could be.

  23. That's So Hetero says:

His project sounds a lot like that All-American Rejects video, “Dirty Little Secret”.

Oh. Because it is exactly like it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPDcwjJ8pLg

  24. Phyrexian says:

That is atrocious spelling, but I’m here to point out that COMPLEAT is a real word.

  25. Fhat The Wuck says:

…Anybody else notice that his “progect” is to rip off the music video for The All American Rejects’ “Dirty Little Secret” single? Bad speller, AND unoriginal. Awesome.
