Originally designed in the US, used by dozens of countries.
Sh!t happens.
This has nothing to do with the quality of manufacturing or the design of the gun. Especially when you consider how old the units are, the fact that the gun design is about 80 years old yet is still one of the most ubiquitous machine guns in the world should tell you something.
The gun might have just been taken out of armory. Might need refab.
I’m a .50 cal gunner in Iraq right now. The problem with the weapon is you need a head space and timing key. What probley happened was when they put the barrel on they didnt do the head spacing properly.
If it’s a quick-change barrel, he wouldn’t have to worry about the head-spacing. I’d say it’s more likely he just didn’t lock the barrel in fully. I’ve seen this happen dozens of times in the classroom, while teaching others to use the weapon.

On the other hand the french have the worlds second best fighting force in the form of the French Foreign Legion.
The best being the british SAS. The US gov keeps asking for their help, the SAS were the first into Gulf I, Gulf II, Afghanistan etc.
Usually they are on the ground about 2 weeks before anybody else to gather target information.
“SAS were the first into Gulf I, Gulf II, Afghanistan etc.”‘
Yeah, because the US Navy Seals and Delta Force had nothing to do with it.
Delta Force is the best special forces in the world. Navy Seals are second. Russian Spetnaz third. SAS fourth. The French Foreign Legion isn’t even special forces, by the way.
Doh!
French made.
Made to surrender? This is perfectly French!
Belgian would be more accurate.
Isn’t Belgium neutral?
Belgium should just stick to Waffles and Chocolate.
mmmm……. Belgian waffles…. mmmm……..
Mmmmm… yes they taste so great!
Never forget they have the worlds best beer!
I don’t think Belgium is neutral.
Mostly because NATO is headquartered there.
How cliché… its American.
Aren’t
Ready for the
Marines
Yet
Only in America.
Where are they using Hum-Vees in America? Are we fighting the Mexicans?
I forgot to do a background check.
No, Canada. We are getting them back for sending Justin Bieber.
Uhm… at a military base maybe? You realize the American armed forces use HMMWVs, yes?
Except for that it is French. Learn your countries.
*finds map was scrambled* Who the?
The Browning .50 caliber is French? Well, gee, you learn something new every day. I suppose the M1 Abrams is made in Lichtenstein, right?

Looks like it needs a bit of duck tape and it’ll be as good as new!

Thats what I was thinking.

I hear there’s plenty of head space in Humvees
For some of it, you are close. The barrel of the M1A1 is made in Germany.
Learn your Military, Douche…. its American.
Sarge, I think it do’n broke.
Can you fixedid it before deh Mexicanz drugged dus?
*scrambles for it*
I got deh barrel
*drops on Sarge’s foot*
*safety*Why is the safety undone? The f@rking barrel is off! You don’t want a bullet to fire out of a gun with no barrel, now do you?
*trips*OOOF!
I don’t.
I’ll put it back up reelz fast like.
You better pull it up before Jibble snaps and tries to take me out Full Metal Jacket style! That’s an order!
K’s I willz.
*puts up*
*fastens barrel*
*safety**screws it on tight*
Therez I finished.
this interaction is just depressing to read, go outside and throw a dam football!
It was about 8:00 PM-9:00PM (where I live) when I did this.
Unscrew barrel two clicks. Five is right out.
Why is there a barrel two kilometers away and why is team Echo (fifth squad) going right? I thought there was a minefield over there……………….
They’ve got bad gun Tourette’s.
What the fuzz did you just say?!
Proudly made in America by chinese workers
That’s bass ackwards…………..
Wow… is this ‘repost old content’ day? I’m pretty sure this is the fourth or fifth repost I’ve seen…
Failblog Classic maybe? It was better when it was the full video.
The french will never be better then baguetts and fancy hats

Enjoying your delusions I see.

Failure to check Headspace and Timing. You are a No-Go at this station, Private…
This was my thought exactly. Headspace and timing, folks… it takes seconds to check, and can save your life.
Is that the FAIL BELL!!!!!!!!!?
I’m pretty sure fail
Look at that we are cutting down on military spending.
It’s a sawed-off machine gun. Handy for use indoors.
I think that gun has syphilis
What? And the top never came off your blender either…
Murphy’s Law of Combat #61: Always remember, your equipment was made by he lowest bidder.
It’s still better’n what the other guys got. I hope.
Velcro wears out after a while.
Irak Fail
))
Projectile disfunction?
Sh!tty quality but still looks like a setup, could have sworn Browning 50cal has a thicker barrel than that.
I don’t he made the proper head space and timing on that M2 50. cal
that’s a wonderful example of “self-sabotage” I guess.
