  1. kuroshi says:

    Well, if you take the boolean definition of “or”, then you can’t do both at the same time, either.

    But…prowling? uh…

    • Eris says:

      Yep. If doing both were ok, it would be xor, not or.

      • Jibble says:

        Yeah, I didn’t get that either. I thought it must have something to do with the “WAIT” sign next to it… uh… what? Still don’t get it.

        • enoilgat says:

          Considering the position of the sign on the left relative to the picture as a whole (not being centered), I think the picture-taker intended both signs to be included. I’m guessing since a sign that states “Wait” and another that says “No Loitering” is contradicting and is considered Oddly Specific.

          I am pretty certain that “No Loitering or Prowling” is not the Oddly Specific intention of the poster.

  2. amadeo says:

    excuse me but this is actually the correct way of saying it — “and” would be grammatically incorrect!

  3. Snow says:

    Trying to read a fail into that which is not a fail fail.

  4. loops says:

    haha no loitering next to a sign telling you to wait

  5. Terion says:

    !(Loitering || Prowling) == !Loitering && !Prowling

    De Morgan thanks you for waiting;

  6. Flounders says:

    I guess if the picture was zoomed out and we could tell what the WAIT sign was referring to, it might be funnier. As it stands, it’s just a dissembodied picture.

    Move along, folks. Nothing to see here.

  7. JewThing says:

    HEY,what does this mean me no understand americano soo god,pleaze WHAT IS LITERING AND PROWLING?

  8. Temennigru says:

    Its not XOR so its not ok
