well, i can think of one reason why this is good. it means that idiot who posted something about frozen bananas will never make such a stupid mistake again.
Obviously the poster never watched Rocko’s Modern Life. They had a whole episode about putting a banana in the refrigerator.
that sounds like a boring show.
I really don’t think that show would keep me on the edge of my seat. Now, do an episode on frozen apples… THAT would be great!

That said, I still disagree with the post. However, I do think “chill” should also be italicized.

Totally not a fail. If you have ever worked with produce you know exactly why you don’t store bananas in the fridge.
It’s called “Oddly Specific”. If you pull out your sense of humor and dust it off a little, you’d see the play on words. Sheesh!

Sometimes I have to wonder about the age/life experience of the failblog staff who approve submissions.
I think he was making a pun about other uses of the word chill, since the caption was “they only Hang” “Bananas don’t chill, (as in chill out at your house) But they do hang.” If you look at it from that point of view it is a little funny. not a fail. but not a great pun either since no one apparently got it.
Thank you, Capt. At least someone else has found their sense of humor and can get this little joke. Jeez, literal people are literal…and boring!
This actually makes alot of sense.
When I worked at a supermarket we had people returning bananas all the time because they either put them in the fridge or freezer and they bruised heavily.
I really want a roll of “Bananas Do Not Chill” stickers… wonder if I can find one for sale on the internet?
Yeah, bananas don’t last long in the fridge. An amusing sticker, but a perfectly valid warning.

If you put pretty ripe bananas in the freezer and then mash/blend them after frozen, they turn into a nice banana paste with an ice cream consistency. They’re hard to peel though.
Wheres the fail? The submitter of this must be bone dead stupid. Bananas don’t react to well to the cold. Therefore we have stickers.
This is why the Bananas Gang is so dangerous. They hold a grudge FOREVER!

If I could add some perspective… With my extensive experience with bananas I can tell you that they are way uptight and humorless (by and large…). They can’t relax even a little bit, let alone chill. Watermelons on the other hand…
But if it’s $240 worth of pudding…I cook… and then I chilllll….
