“Are these the problems white people have?!” way to pull the race card and make yourself look like a douche. Not that i’m racist (as long as we all bleed the same color….you green-blooded folks can go get bent), but we “white people” have a ton of problems that we don’t create ourselves. one of the biggest is this not-so-little thing called affirmative action. a good idea at conception, yes, but now it’s increasingly difficult for “white people” to get jobs, get into college, etc. For example, if a caucasian and someone of another ethnic descent apply for the same job, and the “white person” is marginally more qualified, but most of the other employees are white, chances are, the other person will be chosen, lest they pull the race card and the naacp jumps all over them.

I think I’m gonna stay out of this one. I just wanted to comment to say that, and that staying out of a futile discussion seems like the best course of action.

I’m not trying to convince anyone. The main problem is that race scolds experience no pushback, so everyone feels free to act in hypocritical ways that would never work in polite society if you reversed the races.
If you aren’t providing pushback when people act in racist but fashionable ways, then you’re part of the problem.
Best thing is waiting for all races to mix up, untill there is only one, light-brown-ish, tall, beautyfull and equal enough to avoid racismn, race.

Holy crap. A guy makes a funny comment to a friend on FB, and suddenly the white supremacists all come out in droves to spread their inanity. It amazes me how racist people can be when hiding behind the anonymity of internet comment sections.
Wow, it’s amazing how someone makes a note of how the person’s comment could be considered racist (as it isolates a certain race) and people start calling each other white supremacists.

Don’t know, but if it were the other way around.. Most blacks would be on the white guys case for saying something “silly” or “joking” with a comment like that. Double standard I guess.
I’m against racism, although in this case I’d like to think it was said tongue in cheek and between friends. But I hate when someone notices the double standard and is so bothered by it — I guess my thinking is that both sides are equal NOW, but one side got seriously effed for centuries and is still, as a majority, behind developmentally and financially, so yeah, I’d say a double standard is merited. I’d say the least white people could do is laugh along, white guilt and all that aside.

s**t man, i can see that the black and white living together it’s really an issue. it’s strange for me, as there is not one black person in the city I live. I’m from Romania (somewhere in Europe).
to all the morons who keep saying to check which race gets the most welfare benefits. the argument is NOT that. the argument is: What is the percentage of the black race who receives welfare versus the percentage of the white race who receives it? if someone can answer THAT question things will make more sense. probably alot higher % of the race for blacks, just sayin

Back in 2006, the percentage of each race’s population on welfare was:
5.27% white
27.78% black
11.47% Hispanic
I’m white and I don’t even know what a squash racquet is… Also, apparently a broken caps lock button is the type of problem a black person has..
Of course, if this were a white person commenting on a black person’s status this post would be considered “racist”.
