haha- i actually live right by this! The Hippo’s name is Lu and she lives in homosassa springs, Fl. They have all florida native animals, but this hippo has been there for over 25 years and is the one exception. What Lu will do is get up next to the fence and start twirling its tail around and create a poo-fan and tries to spray people.
It might be the coolest hippo in the world.
There’s an identical sign at the San Diego zoo.

GODDAMN the hippo did this right in my face a couple years ago at Disney’s Animal Kingdom… i wanted to puke soooooo badly

Saw this one at a zoo (in Chicago)
Hippos are awfully efficient at atomizing their feces (fyi, they mark their territory with the smell)
Saw this happen courtesy of the pygmy hippo at Ueno zoo in Tokyo several years ago. There was no warning sign, just a mass of screaming Japanese kids running for their lives.
