I can’t see how a spelling error can be defiant.
Any business that does any kind of lettering that I’ve ever encountered makes you write down exactly what you want. If you have a spelling mistake or typo, they don’t assume that they know better and change it. They give you what you asked for, mistakes and all.

Your an idiot. My nephew placed 3rd in the Sam spelling bee an had his trophy mispelled as well. They were featured on our local news here in Utah. I promise you it’s real.

Years ago, I won the district spelling bee and won a dictionary (and a savings bond). The inside of the dictionary was inscribed “Presented to 5th grade spelling champion Ypsilanti Public Shools”
In fairness, it was written in calligraphy and the person doing it probably had to go one letter at a time. But it was still funny.
