At first “Old people sing choir rap” sounds freaking awesome, but they’re off tune and the instrumentals are bad, so I believe this is a fail.

Yup, but hey, criticize old people for trying to connect to the younger generation. Wish my grandparents had made such an attempt. Perhaps I’d have thought them a tad bit less lame for trying even if they were off key. Personally, I thought it was really cute out of tune or not.
And rap by very definition is spoken rhyme not sung. Therefore off key does not apply here in this case. If it was the Beatles then this would in fact be an actual fail. As it’s rap, not so much.
