The same company that makes Taco Bell’s reciept paper probably makes McDonald’s reciept paper. Just got a roll (or a case) mixed up and sent to the wrong people and all the sudden you have a Taco bell reciept with the wrong logo on it. Really not that big of a fail when you actually take the time to think about it. Plus I wouldn’t throw the roll of paper away because it cost money and when you are running a business you really don’t want to throw money in the trash. K THANX BAI

Oh, shut up already. They are both billion dollar businesses I’m sure they can afford to wait and return the case when the next shipment comes in. The problem is they pay people idiot wages to be abused by rude customers all day and wonder why those employees make idiot decisions. It’s a fail, and it’s a funny one. Just lol.
I disagree. They could wait, but then they run out of receipt paper while waiting several days for the next one to be delivered. They may have had no choice but to use it.
Well, it’s a fairly big fail to ship McDonald’s paper to Taco Bell.
No… Where “TacoBell” is clearly the place where an employee’s name should be. Some manager made a fake login to make this. Not a fail at all.

It’s also fairly common to see restaurants at service stations on the Mass pike using the McDonald’s POS systems, regardless of what restaurant they may be. Recently I swiped my card for a piece of pizza from Papa Gino’s at a rest stop, and they had a McDonald’s credit card machine. They all seem to umbrella under the fact that there’s a McDonald’s there that setup the infrastructure initially or something.
This is what I was thinking.

You really think that worldwide company like Taco Bell won’t throw away a roll of paper instead of representing opposing company on their receipt? This kind of mistakes actually costs millions. Now try to seriously think about it – it’s the best free advert for McDonalds: their enemy is advertising their brand

Um… I hardly think McDonald’s and Taco Bell are opposing companies. Maybe if we were talking Taco Bell and Taco Bueno or McDonald’s and Burger King or something.
That info was printed on the receipt at the location where the servers name usually appears. It was done to be funny.

I’ve never seen a Taco Bell and McDonald’s combined. Are you sure you’re not mistaken? I mean, Taco Bell is owned by PepsiCo/Yum Brands (as is Pizza Hut, Long John Silver’s, KFC, and WingStreet) and McDonald’s has an exclusive contract with CocaCola.
Yeah, I don’t think they are combined.. I have seen KFC/Taco Bell ‘restaurants’ though.
i work at kfc and kfc, taco bell, long john silvers and pizza hut is part of Harman’s corporation except for franchisee’s. the contracts with coke and pepsi are for the drinks and advertisement sponsoring.

Everyone is missing the tragedy in this. The real FAIL here is that this person is eating at Taco Bell the day after Christmas.

Here’s what happened. Taco Bell and McDonalds are located in very close proximity to one another, probably side by side. Taco Bell runs out of receipt tape and has none to replace it. Panic would ensue, but Taco Bell and McDonalds loan to/ borrow from eachother all the time. Someone from Taco Bell goes over to Mickey D’s and asks to borrow/have/buy a box of receipt tape.
Believe me, it happens all the time and is no big deal. I worked at a DQ next to a Pizza Hut and, on occasion, our stuff went into bags with Pizza Hut napkins or into Pizza Hut to-go cartons. They got ice from us all the time when their ice maker was on the blink.
the funny thing is…they ate at wendys
…and ordered a Blizzard.

This must happen to Taco Bell a lot. The one where I lived used to print a lot of their receipts on Popeye’s receipt paper and they were right next door to each other.
Taco Bell ran out of receipt paper so they borrowed from McDonald’s which seems to be right next to every single taco bell in America so quick and problem solving.
