The reason those products say “must be 18 or older” is to prevent (in theory) children from ordering something without parental approval, opening the selling company to all sorts of legal repercussions.
who is going to play this? honestly not many young girls want to play a barbie video game, let alone own a play station. they most likely have a wii if anything
This one is too easy and lame. Anyone could of put the sticker on this game. Also it’s possible that all of their rentals have this sticker, because you have to be 18 to open up a rental account at most places. Therefore you would have to be 18 to rent anything.
Whenever someone signs up for a video rental membership they are signing a form, which is essentially a contract. To legally sign a contract one must be 18. Not only is the sticker on that Barbie game, but there is also one on some kids movies as well.
Now if there was a Be Kind Rewind sticker on the game, then yes I could see the fail.
Obviously no commenters above worked at a rental store. Anyone under 18 can rent as long as the main account holder has authorized it, with the exception of age-inappropriate titles. And they re-use cases. Someone brings something back in a broken case. You stick it in any old leftover case.
Since cases get used many times, sometimes an old sticker is on there. My old company (now defunct) used high-tack stickers that were impossible to remove. This store just didn’t black said sticker out. Still a fail, but not a set-up.
The video store I worked at adopted a policy of “no video game rentals without an adult PRESENT in the store” after too many complaints from parents who had some issue with the ESRB rating.
Seriously, we had a lady who claimed that anything with “magic, demons, or other spirits is of the DEVIL and should not be shown to kids.”
Parents that didn’t care could still have us flag their account saying all games were OK, or all games except M+. The stickers were more so the kids would stop coming up and arguing.
I don’t know what the story is here, though. Probably just a lazy employee using the wrong case or a setup.
yeah the sticker might be misplaced but in germany that wasn’t so uncommon for a time. i went to a store to buy a barbie game for my niece and it had a red sticker on it that said ” not suitable for children”. at first i thought it was a mistake but every case had a sticker on it. when i paid for it the girl at the register seriously asked for my id.
the funny thing was that 10 minutes earlier i was at the same register and bought a bottle of jägermeister..no id needed.
seems to me that video games are more dangerous than liquor
it looks like the person just took the sticker off another game and put it on that game to be funny and put it on failblog. its soooooo obvious look how the sticker is poorly put on
This is not really a fail because a kid can’t really go in a store/library [Yess, Libraries have a video star -some of them-] and say ‘Yeah , I want this game’ and hand the cashier the card. The RULES are that in order for YOU to rent a qame/video you have to be 14 or older but in this case its 18 or order. So , failblog.org just failed themselves.
Oh cool, they took a sticker off one dvd and stuck it on another. That’s hilarious.
That sticker is sorta great!
It makes you think on what Barbie does.
I think it’s a great game.
yeah man, they should stop posting this kinda bulls**t.
indeed, obvious set up fail, making it not really a fail.
FIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTSFIRTS
Firwhat?!
Not this time, r-tard.
wait, he’s right, he’s first… at failing…
He isn’t saying first… he is saying “Firts”. Still doesn’t make any sense.
I’m firsty
Failblog fail. It’s like those commercials with a product for kids, but it says must be 18 or older to call/order.
more like kids can’t rent. even its for kids.
The reason those products say “must be 18 or older” is to prevent (in theory) children from ordering something without parental approval, opening the selling company to all sorts of legal repercussions.
Mad Princess of Blood Island…
ooohh yeah
Fakest and Gayiest
As far as I’m concerned they never let anyone under 18 rent games or videos.
That game is a play station 2 FAIL!!!
who is going to play this? honestly not many young girls want to play a barbie video game, let alone own a play station. they most likely have a wii if anything
you’ve not seen barbie – island princess, i can tell.
sure made me the person i am today
irl hacked
Yeah!, barbie go wild: The island princess… I can already imagine the orgy…
Oh please, barbie was one of the first to fall to Rule 34
Rule 99.1 was in effect
Maybe Ken doesn’t have those built-in tighty whiteys anymore. o_O
This sticker appears to be lost.

I recognize that sticker — They use ‘em at Family Video.
Anyway, this is like someone putting some pineapples next to a “Bananas” sign in the produce section and snapping a pic. Sorry, OP, not a worthy fail.
The real fail here is the fact that you can still rent videogames.
You must be one of those Hollywood execs who keeps trying to kill the used/rental market?

I don’t think you understand. How to use periods.
i love the placement of the fail.’FAILstation 2′
This is so fake! They clearly just took a sticker from something else -_-

it’s not a fail, it’s a win
as if that was even possible
This is not really a fail because a kid can’t really go in a store/library [Yess, Libraries have a video star -some of them-] and say ‘Yeah , I want this game’ and hand the cashier the card.
