  1. Abveo says:

    A robber appears!

    Shop uses Security Guard!

    It’s not very effective.

    Shop uses Fat Staff Member!

  2. tornade212 says:

    Did he die?

  3. joe says:

    thats quite some timing

  4. Rhogart says:

Is it coincidence I was watching “Smoking Gun Presents: World’s Dumbest Criminals,” when I pulled this up? I do’t think so…

  5. JJtoob says:

The last thing you do is get right next to a criminal even if you have a gun. You can easily have a gun turned against you. You tell them to freeze, slowly raise their hands, turn then get on the floor with their hands behind their back, shoot dead in the center if he does not comply, then report it immediately and if necessary, get backup, or something… at least that’s what I would do if I had a gun, but I have no training.

    • John says:

Seriously, no one who is trained for this will walk up to the suspect with their gun. If you underestimate the suspect, he can grab the gun or worse an accidental discharge.

    • Dan says:

I think the cop went up close to the robber because he thought that the robber might have a weapon and harm the cashier. The cop doesn’t want to shoot through the robber and into the cashier either…

  6. un1k3n says:

Am I the only one who realizes that it’s a cop, not a security guard?

He came in for donuts at the right time.

    • KBurchfiel says:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m not sure security guards can even carry guns. And he looks pretty “official” judging by his clothes.
      But what do I know?

      • Lytrigian says:

It depends on local laws, and the kind of security the place is paying for.

People are guessing this guy isn’t a cop because he appears to be poorly trained. So poorly trained that he probably shouldn’t be carrying regardless.

      • Asuna says:

If you go through Firearms training, and you have a valid Firearms owner permit, you could be allowed to be an ARMED security officer

  7. Perry says:

You gotta respect the man for not shooting the robber on the spot for resisting arrest, and instead holstering his piece and attempting to subdue him by other means.

  8. Shop uses Fat Staff Member!

  9. blahblah says:

its a cop, not a security guard. he was there picking up something for a previous robbery when he walked in on a new one.

    • domerdaver says:

Yes, I saw this clip on the evening news, and that was the same backstory I heard. The cop was there to pick up the security camera video from the robbery just previous.

  10. Jane says:

Double fail. Robber fail. Cop fail.

  11. Brandon says:

    Never rob a donut shop.

  12. Kamikazi says:

lol the cop just stands there for a second going “really?”

  13. Lyndsay says:

LOL This was on my hometown news, actually not too far from where I live in Ohio. The cop was at that walgreens to get the security tape from a robbery that had occured EARLIER THAT DAY! If you’re going to rob a drug store, make sure someone else hasn’t hit it first.

  14. Snake says:

Resisting arrest with a gun to his head. Either he is really lucky, or the guard/cop had no authourity to open fire and he knew it.

  15. Bryan says:

this is at a walgreens… why would they go for the front register and not the pharmacy?

  16. Murasaki says:

I love the robber’s body language at 0:16.

    “You gotta be KIDDING me!”

  17. towelie says:

    wanna get high?

  18. hellfrost says:

dude i want to know whats wrong with the cop who didn’t taze his ass on the spot with his stun gun rather than make false threats with his gun because he knows his fat ass is insacure and cant take a life at least there was a off duty police officer there ass back up.

    counter point: Im Drunk

  19. Wolfie says:

Cop fail. Do they train them there, or just give them a badge and say “Have fun!”?
