You know, they are really, really stretching for this “fail.” I am pretty sure no one will see the sign on the door and be confused whether the trashcan, or the actual location, is the safe drop-off point. Moreover, it’s become pretty clear that most of the recent failures could easily be manufactured by the submitter so that they can get their photo on the website. Look at the previous images where there is an “adult” video in the “family” section. Or the pot books by the”holiday stand.” These are likely not fails by the company but merely people moving stuff around for the sole purpose of submitting it to failblog. Here, some tool probably just moved the trash can by the door and thought they were hilarious.

Failblog is a site for failures in real life. It wasn’t intended to be a forum for who can photoshop the funniest picture, there’s plenty of those around.
And as for this one, it would have been better if it was a dumpster….

Ugh, the real fail is that we NEED places like this.
I agree. Rather sickening that so many people can’t take care of their damned children.
No kidding. Don’t want a kid, get an abortion. It’s really simple, people.
And if not an abortion. Keep the zippers up!
Except abortions cost money.
And what if the couple had originally wanted the child, but one or the other decided to split and leave the other to take care of that baby? What if that person can’t afford to take care of the baby on their own? Sometimes life slaps you in the face and you don’t have any other option but something like this. It’s not always because the baby isn’t wanted.
you don’t just abandon your baby in those instances, you look for ways of putting the baby up for open adoption to make sure that the baby is in a loving home rather than becoming a ward of the state. You do this because you love the baby. This is basically a baby amnesty for being irresponsible, surely it’s better to either
a) use a condom
b) the pill
c) emergency contraception
d) abortion
e) keep it in your pants
Sad but being dropped off like this is probably the best thing for some of them. Better than throwing it in a dumpster. More girls need to be aware of these drop off points, because saying keep your legs together is just not going to happen unless you staple them.
Every news story I’ve read about babies being left in “safe” spots like this were left by someone who was obviously NOT the baby’s mother.
These sites are not the answer, especially since “dumpster babies” are an urban myth, not reality.
Trust me dude, infants don’t stay wards of the state very long. There are still a LOT of people out there that want kids and can’t have them.

Perhaps my judgment is clouded by mercy. I am, after all, the product of lack of judgment and was put up for adoption myself.
I don’t blame my birth parents, they were just dumb kids. I do blame judgmental idiots like you who would make a girl feel like she is better off dropping her kid in a dumpster though.
Either way, it gets the baby into a good home. What’s so terrible about that?
Don’t want a kid… Don’t get pregnant! There are plenty of contraceptives out there! (I do appreciate that accidents occur.)
