» 137 Failures in Communication

  1. Rickie says:

Wait a second, that’s not German!

  2. Dan says:

    Failblog fail.

    • hojo says:

yeah, I’m gonna second that… While this is could very vaguely be uh… compared to douche bag… it’s pretty thin. Failblog fail is right.

      • Daniel says:

The title says German Food FAIL. With the name of the hut and the umlauts, one might expect this place to serve German food. What don’t you get?

Imagine the hut saying “Taco King” and only selling pizzas, with the label “Taco FAIL”.

(Personally, I’ll add that selling clear plastic bags of colored mush, and showing them in the picture, seems like a Business Plan FAIL.)

    • Daedalus says:

Failblog Fail diverted in another way, in that that is definitely not German for “Food in a bag”

    • Team_Victoria says:

This is a three-way fail(not like that, perv)
The [very successful] prankster with the stall
The poorly-dressed woman on the left
The bloke touching himself and thus photobombing on the far left :D DDDDD

  3. WatchinYaD0D says:

Soooo do you take or “eat” this food through your ass instead of your mouth…. Gotta really love your enemas to enjoy this food…

  4. CentaX says:

That’s so fail. That’s not german (german would be Deutsche, not “Deütsche” and “Baüg” isn’t even a word) and … german for food in a bag? I mean, it’s like wtf. But it’s not funny. At least that’s my opinion

  5. JustinOMGWTF says:

    You are what you eat?

  6. äöü says:

    Deütsche Baüg^^ lol

I am from Germany and I´ve never heard of these words.

btw. Deutsche (not Deütsche) means German(s). But I realy don´t get what Baüg means.^^

  7. ellie says:

They really need to sign up for a German course. Umlaut is not a decorative mark, for God’s sake.

  8. Born Toby Wilde says:

It’s the sound you make when the contents of the bags comes back up.

  9. Bas says:

yep, Failblog Fail…. thats not even German^^

    • Gert says:

Failblog win. The umlaut that doesn’t belong here is the fail.

The really REALLY fail though is the contents of the bags. Since when are Frito-Lay products id Doritos a ‘German’ food?

Or did you totally miss that?

    • Richard says:

This is so chock full of fail its almost like its a joke onto itself!!

  10. StreakyTSC says:

    Me, either…

  11. tmm says:

Oh, I’d like to see a Hi-Res of this picture. What kind of food is it supposed to be??

  12. bertbad says:

    In b4 go4 gets in b4 me!

  13. Pun-isher says:

you can take that scnitzel to the hoegarden

  14. der Bär says:

    “deütsche bäug”
    wtf is this?
never heard these words before o0

  15. Israel J Pattison says:

Is the funny part the fact that this might be pronounced, “douche bag”?

  16. JuanKerr says:

Man sollte diese Schweine ins KZ jagen!

You would get better German in an episode of ‘Allo ‘Allo…

  17. Gesine says:

That’s just stupid. You gotta hate these ignorant people who think that Germany is all about Oktoberfest, pretzels, sausages, beer and Lederhosen. Okay, the picture is not certainly about that, but we don’t use the Umlaut in every word. That’s just stupid. And Bäug isn’t even a word. Ugh.

  18. peter says:

The real fails are the facebook and twitter “buttons” on the right of the hut there, lol.

  19. Adam says:

Don’t see the point of this. Has Failblog hired a lot of 12-year-olds in quality control? Or is that insulting to 12-year-olds?

  20. Jukka says:

Bäug is supposed to mean bag and Deütsche means Deutsche or Germans. For the dummies they wrote it under these two words:
It´s german for food in a bag. Where´s the fail?
Don´t say it isn´t proper german or proper english, beaucse it can be that someone made a joke or eventually they are real germans and speak and write in a foreign language. Something you Americans never understand…

    • KeeperOfTheReaper says:

Assuming everyone who doesn’t find this funny is American, eh? I’m Canadian, and I don’t really find it funny at all. -_-”

    • Palme says:

You’re not making any sense! Tasche, Tüte, Beutel, Sack, all those nice little words for bag, not one of them would ever result in Baüg. And ‘food in a bag’ would be more like ‘Essen in einer Tasche (Tüte/Beutel/Sack), well at least as long as you don’t want to eat germans…

  21. Talnoy says:

    Definitely NOT a fail :D

  22. kyle says:

So in reality, this is an epic fail because nothing about this stand is actually German, and even if they meant for it to say something resembling “douche bag”, it’s still douche baggery on the part of the people who run it. Wew!

  23. gav2020 says:

    Yet another rubbish post…

  24. Markus says:

    WTF ??
    Thats not german !!!!!

  25. Christian says:

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…I used to come to Failblog like 3x a day…now, it’s relegated to about 1x every 2 or 3 days…you’ve gone down hill.

  26. ArtificialX says:

Once again, the only fail here is failblog itself. Deutsche isn’t even remotely pronounced like douche, which they are trying to create the link with..

  27. Psy-Keks says:

urm…. I’m German… and I’m kinda confused by what this might be meant to be… It’s all just noch making sense ^^. And What teh HECK is IN these bags??? – I woult totally love to know more about this crazy thing and what the people think when doing such a thing.

  28. Einrednatreb says:

    http://www.facebook.com/pages/Deutsche-Baug/105509802849240

It seems that they take the contents of a chip bag and mix it with some other things (think taco salad) then put it back into the bag for you to eat out of. Sounds like most of my college meals.

  29. Jblac33 says:

“Hey… I know this really great place downtown…”

  30. 1223 says:

hmmm I’m german and i have never seen any s**t like that

  31. fjfj says:

wäs ïssn hïïer däs Pröblëm? söllën däs “dëütschë Bëütël” sëïn? ;) ¨¨¨¨¨¨

  32. Giggity says:

Why “FAIL” note on that pals? What’s wrongs whith them?
I just don’t understand this humor.

  33. rewboss says:

Oh, this fails on so many counts. The name that looks like a heavily-typo’d version of “Douchebag”. The random umlauts. The bogus translation. The fact that the food looks disgusting. The fact that nobody in Germany would ever eat *that*.

    • KeeperOfTheReaper says:

The letter’s “e” and “u” put together in that order makes an”oy” sound, so (without the unnecessary umlauts) it says “Doy-tch”.

  34. Brian Getzlaf says:

Lol, probably the best name i’ve seen in awhile. These guys definately are doing this for some attention..ie selling some tacos in a baug?lol To be perfectly honest i would try it. Not a fail imho

  35. Casey says:

This was at the Royal Fair in Toronto! I laughed so hard. also laughing at the idea of food in a bag…

  36. berg-ulme says:

Why didn’t they just called it “Tüte” (engl.: small bag) instead of “Baüäößg” whatever?
Because “Tüte” could mean also joint?

  37. ~_~ says:

lol guys let me explain this to you, YES it’s suppose to resemble DOUCHE BAG, that is the whole point, no its not selling german food at all, they are chips with toppings in a bag…do you idiots not understand it has nothing to do with anything german its just a play on words to grab the attention of people…lol fail blog is really sucking now a days…sheesh

    • Napalmnacey says:

Well the play on words is stupid because people will see either “Dootsch” if they can’t pronounce German and “Doish” or “Doitch” if they can.

    • Natalie says:

..no, that´s also why there´s written ” German for food in a bag ” and the colours of the German flag are used :p..

  38. Oceanwave says:

How could anyone question something from the centre of the Universe? Toronto!!! lol

  39. Lily Malta says:

Alright, an actual testimony. Was at the Royal Winter Fair and tried the Mac in a Bag. It was pretty damn good. Think of a Big Mac without the buns lol. I would try it again. Not a Fail in the taste department anyhow…the name perhaps.

  40. anonymous says:

thats the turkish version, you can tell by the exaggerated use of “ü” ;) .
there’s even a joke: how is turkish wheel of fortune? “i buy an ‘ü’” response: ding, ding, ding, ding, ding …

  41. Anon says:

Nothing to do with anything German? the fact that it says “German for food in a bag” quite clearly would suggest otherwise.

    Observation fail!

  42. blytherubbings says:

Everyone wears a buttoned book collar

  43. Like a Schnitzel in a vaj, I mean, bag?

  44. GleebaTreebaFleebaOobla says:

with that kinda stuff on the menu isn’t it at least vaguely obvious this is some sorta weird mexican-german-american mashup thing that’s trying too hard to look authentic n stuff?

Seriously the arguments here r getting idiotic

+ i like the fact that almost no one noticed the facebook and twitter sharing thingy on the right hand side cz they’re so focussed (foqust?) on it being non-authentic/stupid sounding/whutever, HELLO?

  45. Anita says:

In Germany we also have wannabe-English words:
For example we say “Handy” to mobile phones, because it sounds English.
    There are several other wannabes.
And to be honest: I never ate from a bag.

  46. Natalie says:

..hehe, think they would´ve like it sounded german..? a shame you can´t zoom the pic, so you can see everything ..
the only thing I know is, that in some countries, they sell the food in bags, and you eat it out of that ( or something like that ), and the soft drinks are also put in a plastic bag, than a straw in the tied bag…

  47. aiks says:

Ach du meine Güte ist das peinlich :(

Einen Sack (haha -.-) Klischees auspacken und dann noch nichtmal echte deutsche Wörter verwenden. Man könnte sich wirklich mehr Mühe geben :/

  48. öüääööäüöüäö says:

    ADOLF HITSCHLER
    hmmm hitschler xDD hehehe

  49. dödel says:

apparently, the guys from mötley crüe and motörhead formed up and started a nice litte side business. just to make some little extra cash, you know…

  50. TheUltimateGnuhu says:

WTF is “baüg” and why do they write deutsche with an “ü”??! I’m from Germany and that is everything but NOT German xD

  51. Masu says:

Please note that every german in this comment section is instently correcting the shop and the users of this blog about how to write “Deutsche” correctly.

    Immer korret bleiben! ^^

  52. PsychoDad says:

Ya know who else didn’t like people messing with the German language….?

  53. Jack Auff says:

Reminds me o the germans who think that Pizza Hut is Pizza Hat, because Hut is germans for hat, and the logo looking like little hat. Haha we are so stupid doosh bags.

  54. Ölöäfü Ä. Sügsaäüäll says:

    Look how german I am!

  55. waitwuut? says:

psh, i rather eat my germans canned instead. in bags it’s just too much trouble, you cannot store them in the cupboards as with canned germans.

  56. Ellenbogen says:

damn, i’m from germany and i’ve no idea what deütsche baüg should mean….
well, deutsche is clear, but baüg….no idea xD

    Vielleicht meinen sie Deutsche Tasche…

  57. der Cili says:

    Nochwas anderes witziges:
Is it just me or does the “waiter” look Asian?!
