» 190 Failures in Communication

  1. Ruce says:

    Win to me.

  2. the walrus says:

I thought it was a fail just from reading the article.

    • superconnected says:

I thought the fail was author of the article. It’s like grade 4 level writing.
Also Richmond (where this happened) is a suburb of Vancouver and thousands of miles from Toronto.

  3. JesseThaBest says:

Why Pic on the Fa… Gay Kid? :D

  4. JLN says:

    “…even though he’s a straight teenager…” [ citation needed ]

  5. Mr Anderson says:

    12-year-old boy win.

  6. Cyllya says:

Well, good for him! It’s nice to see celebreties taking a stand on these things. But where’s the fail? Does it refer to the lesbians?

    • joe blow says:

The true fail was “even though he’s a straight teenager…”; it’s supposed to be “even though she’s a straight teenager”.

    • Duke says:

I have to agree. I don’t have much use for the little airhead or the tunes he whines, but I’m all about anyone using whatever influence they have to try to make the world a friendlier place.

As near as I can figure (read: “in my own humble opinion” ;) ), the “Fail” is a fifteen-year-old being bullied by a twelve-year-old. That’s either remarkable self-restraint, incredible levels of self-doubt, or just really, really sad.

      • Clawed Monet says:

I’m not a Beiber fan, but if he had punched that 12 year old right in the mouth like he deserved, he would have been sued back to the Stone Ages. There would have been no way he could have gotten away with a 16 year old punching a 12 year old, no matter how much the rotten little sh@$ deserved it. The bullying thing has got to stop, we are forgetting the rules for a decent society. Pretty soon we’ll all be sitting in trees flinging poo at each other.

        • Patrick says:

He shoved the kid, and was investigated for assault.

          • He didn’t shove the kid, he pushed him away when it got to be too much. The claim was that he shoved the kid because the kid and his mother were probably hoping to get some serious moolah from a settlement.

        • Fgt says:

what gets me is the whole thing is about using the “wrong word”. Bieber was being a little shit by shoving a (much younger) kid out of the way, and when the kid lashed back out, yes, it is an offensive word to some (although frankly, in the UK it is an amusing word and also a foodstuff), but the reaction is almost worse than if he’d just punched Bieber. :s

“Filthy deplorable violence is OK as long as nobody says any dirty words!” — Kyle’s Mom

    • Cookie says:

It’s fail because there’s an ad to see lesbians that look like Bieber at the bottom of the article…

      • Brian-M says:

An ad for a site for lesbians who look like Bieber below an article where Bieber speaks out against gay bullying?

That’s a win for the Biebians in my book.

    • Raichu says:

Meh.. I hope bieber dies in a fire.

  7. Deucer says:

Double Fail, it happened in Vancouver, not Toronto.

  8. Boberty111 says:

Apparently Vancouver and Toronto are the same thing. They are almost on the opposite ends of Canada! (haha) I have recently been working on my American geography so I can’t rag to hard.

  9. Born Toby Wilde says:

Fail is coded into Bieber’s very DNA.

It’s only a bunch of old, old men who keep propping up this primate version of Scrappy Doo and foisting it on the young, keeping his image going by ticking all the boxes and coming up with defining moments of clueless such as saying “gettin’ down wit’ da’ kidz” and “Check it out!” when they’re desperately trying to look cool.

Take away the huge amounts of money pumped into publicising this piece of freshly generated bipedal sputum, and you’ll just see him fall into the same spiral of fail, drugs and jail that Haley Joel Osment, River Phoenix and all the other “child stars” have fallen into in the past.

Somebody tell Bieberfail that when they turn their attention to the next Zac Efron to emerge from some random woman’s womb twenty minutes ago, this WILL happen to him too. By this time next year, they’ll be all “Justin who?” and it’ll be time to stick a fork in him.

  10. litmus0001 says:

in this context, it is a statement that has absolutely nothing to do with his sexuality.

The fact is that JB is putting himself out there for comment, and if he insists on making music that sucks, he’s going to incite an adverse and possibly hostile response.

  11. Anonymous says:

Calling Bieber gay IS insulting… to the gay community, that is.

    • Jibble says:

      Wow. Good point!

    • Skyman724 says:

ZING ZING ZING ZING ZING ZING ZING ZING ZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! INTERNETS FOR YOU!!! 1,000,000 =3 (yes, the “equals three” is the symbol for the Internet currency) for YOU!!!!!

    • Fgt says:

It’s also insulting the way that Bieber is going “OH IM GONNA START A CAMPAIGN THE KID COMMITTED A HATE CRIME AGAINST ME”… implying that Bieber wasn’t actually ruder in the first place.

  12. El says:

I for one am SHOCKED that anyone would think Justin Bieber is a lesbian!

  13. Dingo says:

I find it kinda amusing that he wants to discurage homophobia among his fans. Seeing as they most likley are gay themselfs.

  14. catflap says:

With so many hate-filled comments, you guys should join Westboro Baptist Church.

    • CosmicSpaceElvis says:

      >hate-filled
There is a line between hate-filled and satirical.
I mean, if you’re not allowed satire, then theres no freedom.
(I like being able to mock, for instance, nazis. (its been over 50 years, can it be funny yet?))
One step further, and you could say that theres no criticism allowed on sensitive issues, allowing me to be revisionist. (Did you know Hitler murdered 500 000 000 000 jews?- citation needed)

Besides, joining a church would be the real satire for some.

    • Greg says:

If you’re here to advertise, no thanks. Apart from the whole ‘Westboro are trolls’ thing, I just can’t bring myself to believe in God or miracles. But still, Catholic.

      • ben says:

He clearly was jesting that those posting irrational hate of Justin Bieber should join the Westboro Baptist Church as they too spout irrational hate. It wasn’t that hard to understand that he wasn’t advertising and it was pretty clear you just wanted to talk about yourself….

  15. english punk says:

ROFL! Kudos to the 12-year-olds who called him gay (using more offensive terms, I assume) though. ALSO Justin, 16 years old, got owned by 12-year-olds. Seriously.

  16. Butterfingers says:

So a pop singer speaks out against prejudice.

There’s no fail here – except for the one who posted the pic, obviously.

    • tyberius says:

It’s possible that the OP meant to point out that this site, while reporting on a pop singer speaking out against prejudice, is also participating in the mockery of said pop singer by putting the “Biebians” gallery right under the article.

Anyway, yeah, I don’t see any other fail here. Bieber is using his fame for a good cause. Regardless of what I think of his music, that is very cool of him.

      • Raichu says:

Whatever, he was probably told to do that to up his popularity. Its all about making money in the end.

        • Mouse says:

“TMZ reports that the teenager’s ‘people’ were keen to keep the incident under wraps, but Justin is insisting on going public about what happened in an effort to discourage bullying and homophobia among his fans.”

    • Anne says:

      I agree with Butterfingers.

  17. Bifford says:

Now that 12-year old can tell everyone how he got beat up by Justin Bieber.

  18. Datahog says:

I was slowly scrolling down and reading.

At first I was like :/
But then I was like XD

  19. Alca says:

damnit, i read the entire article before i finally saw the biebians part…

  20. TrollBot says:

Relax guys! It’s a fake… Justin would never dare to beat a 12year old kid. (S)He’s too much of a girl and would therefore never risk to break a fingernail in a fight.

  21. Bart says:

Has anyone noticed they called him “the beeb”?

  22. CheezburgerFanatic says:

I read the entire article before I saw the ad. Silly me.

  23. Andy says:

What the #### is “Bieber”?? Not the first time that I encounter this word.

  24. Hesbiss2 says:

    Louis CK

  25. Demidan says:

    F*(k Beeeber in his moth3r f*(king @$$

  26. L says:

I hope that 12 y/o kid chokes on something. He’s just some random douche; at least Bieber is doing something helpful for others.

    • ben says:

Too true, he probably thought he was cool. Then again, the internet is probably responsible for spawning such irrational hate.

      • DeviousOne says:

Stupid children should get medals for mob behavior and lies(Bieber “beat him up” by pushing his arm away)? Plus, you just said pop stars don’t affect anyone, and then that he makes girls swoon endlessly. I’d call that an effect. Congrats on taking apart your own argument.

    • Raichu says:

I think you’re the douche for supporting something that is ruining our nation. He’s making girls want the twiggie skinny emo girly looking/sounding guys. Bieber is just speaking out against homophobia because he was told to to up his popularity to make more money. Best way to get cash is to cater to a “good cause”. Cides those 12 year old kids probably knew he wasn’t really gay but they bullied him regardless. Being bullied happens to most kids, Bieber shouldn’t be exempt for being famous.

      • Mouse says:

        Pikachu should never evolve.

I don’t know what you could possibly mean by “something that is ruining our nation” but I suspect you’re just delusional.

It says in the article that he is doing the opposite of what he was told to, so either you can’t read or you choose to invent your own reality and live there angry at the world for not conforming to it.

“Being bullied happens to most kids” – so what, that makes it right?
        Hint: No.

Fun fact: lots of morons doing bad things doesn’t make those bad things good.

When they taught all the other kids in your kindergarten class “two wrongs don’t make a right” most of them also picked up that you can replace “two” with any number, and the statement still remains valid.

    • Fgt says:

Why? When Bieber decided to be just as rude?

  27. XE0Npwns says:

its double fail all the way , so intense

  28. Greg says:

    That ain’t saying much.

  29. meh.aloe says:

This is a win for Beiber, and a collective fail for Failblog and everyone who thought this “fail” was funny.

How is this a fail? Hurr, durr, it implies he’s gay! Yeah, you’re right, it’s perfectly fine that a bunch of bullies cornered him and called him homophobic slurs… That’s not important… It’s the implication that he might be gay that’s important!

The fact that he’s standing up and delivering an important message isn’t important. You know, teens get killed for being gay sometimes? Or commit suicide after constant bullying? But no, him speaking out about that isn’t important. LOL GAY! That’s important!

Failblog commenters: “But you know, not that there’s anything wrong with gays. It’s just that, LOL HE’S GAY BEING GAY SUCKS LOL! But, seriously, total respect for gay people. LOL GAYS LOL. Totally. Nothing homophobic here. BEING GAY IS FUNNY LOL. Noooothing at all.”

  30. Frost.Blast says:

WIN if it’s the only good thing to come out of Justin Bieber in his whole life.

Doesn’t mean I want him to keep on singing though.

  31. Luke says:

they call him a teenager? Oh, right. I forgot he was already twelveteen

  32. jay says:

Homophobia = a straight guy being offended by being called gay

    • meh.aloe says:

Yes, I’m sure those kids who cornered him and shouted homophobic slurs into his face were just making a totally judgement-free comment on what they honestly thought was his sexual orientation, and didn’t mean any offence at all. I’m sure they were not making their own homophobia obvious in any way whatsoever.

    • DeviousOne says:

It doesn’t say he was offended, but I sure as hell wouldn’t want to be surrounded by annoying kids making that noise either.

  33. Marmaduke says:

I bet a Beiban called this a Fail.

  34. oy says:

well, it’s my turn to defend the Beeb, as hard as it is for me to do so but every now and then I remind myself that he’s only a teenager and his job is better than serving food in MacDonalds.

Well, 1st of all, it’s not easy being in the spotlight so the truth is that Justin defended himself without having to break some kid’s arm like a normal 16 year old would do to any annoying kid.

Second, I guess we have to remind ourselves, the witty adults, of some less than nice hate attitudes towards a teen just because his music is addressed to pre-teens. Attitudes on which will have repercussion on a younger generation thus perpetuating bullying.

And bullying in any God giving situation is never, EVER a win.

Yes, his music is annoying, yes he sounds like a girl and looks like a lesbian, yes if you ignore him he’ll just go away…

    How about that?

  35. Ojay says:

This didn’t happen in Toronto. It happened in BC

  36. Sage says:

wow, I kinda feel sorry for JB now.

  37. name says:

they shouldn’t say that… i mean think about all the gay people getting bad names….

  38. spacebat says:

I actually kind of have to side with Bieber on this one. Most 12 year old boys deserve to be punched in the face. I used to be one and I sure did.

  39. reallytightearmuffs says:

    DON’T FEED THE TROLL, JUSTIN!

  40. Haha says:

That wasnt in Toronto, It was i nVancouver

  41. Rhea says:

You know, he is a horrible singer and I don’t like his music…and he does sound like a woman when he sings, but I gotta give him props for this.

  42. Anne says:

You have to be a bunch of really stupid jerks to see an article like that and actually post it here. I knew you were dumb and desperate, but wow, this is a new low even for you…

    • Duke says:

      So…

you think it was perfectly cool and totally unfunny that immediately after the “Justin is straight” article there was an add for lesbians that look like him?

There was nothing at all funny to you about that?

Such a sad, sad day for humanity. Has critical theory really come so far that we find rampant hair-trigger indignation preferable to an occasional chuckle?

  43. blue_destiny says:

Although I applaud her “standing up against bullying and anti-homo” (I myself used to hate homos until I told myself: Why what have they ever done to me? It’s just society telling me to avoid them), Beiber still makes me sick. This little girl claimed she was the “Kurt Cobain of my time”… someone deflate this little b****’s head please

I found this a lol because she got what she deserved… she needs to be pegged down from the pedestal she put herself on, NOT because it has anything to do with bullying or homosexuality

  44. Fakey McFakerton says:

O.K., be honest. How many of you tried to click on the image of the video in the article?

  45. Snake says:

Shock: The feeling you recieve when you realise that you can respect Beiber for one aspect.

Seriously, the fail is the inappropriate advert, not the article.

    • Kausill says:

I know right, this gave me a reason to give Bieber a tiny little respect.

    • cowlifornia says:

Are you mad? Any foulness cannot be too great for the perv! He kisses little girls, cross dresses and is blind (see multiple video’s of her running into closed doors). And what is up with the ugly bowl cut?

      • Duke says:

I don’t think he’s actually blind. I think his lesbianesque hair cut is responsible for most of his vision deficit.

    • Blaze says:

Yeah, I saw the add and knew that was the fail too. I also agree that there is something I can respect about Beiber now; if NOTHING else about the kid.

    • Raichu says:

Bunch of lemmings on this site.

  46. dillon says:

    bullys win

  47. Petra van Goor says:

I am getting sick and tired of all the Justin Bieber bashing that goes on on this site. Kids his age have killed themselves over this kind of bullying. Justin Bieber is only 16. That means he still a kid. Being a celebrity doesn’t make you immune to the emotional pain of bullying.

    • Raichu says:

You get up at 3:44am to tell us that? You must have gotten beat up a lot as a kid.

      • Patrick says:

Maybe they’re in another time zone, that’s ahead of you? Given the name, Europe is possible. Which would make it noon or so their time (give or take a few hours).

    • Lesath says:

Person, from a sociological point of view he actually needs people to criticize him, the farther you are from moral checks and rules the more likely you are to commit suicide, and we’re not going to his house and throwing eggs at him, THAT would be personal and harmful, he probably doesn’t even have to time to check what failblog is anyways. He looks just like a more feminine version of Danny from Tila Tequila and you can’t deny that.

      • Patrick says:

It’s not just about him. It’s about other kids, who may be questioning their sexuality or gender identity, who see the hateful shit people are saying.

  48. shok says:

oh, he beat a 12 years old kid…that kid has more balls than beiber will ever want lol

  49. SeizurePenguin says:

Seriously, some people really need to stop feeding the trolls…

  50. thee fab says:

the he-man hair cut is a super fail

  51. ME says:

… Because “No Talent Assclown” was taken….

  52. Raichu says:

I know you people want to believe that Justin Bieber did something good, but its just a ploy to make more money. You give a speech about how you’re fighting against homophobia, bullying, unequal rights, etc and you get new fans and old fans will stay fan longer because it seems like the celebrity actually cares. Otherwise he’s just feeding the trolls like those little kids who cornered him, give them more reasons to pick on him cause it hurt his feelings. Bieber’s at home right now getting fed in bed by some fat nanny as he burns rolled up 100 bills as incense.

    • neeps says:

Yeah because anyone is going to all of a sudden magically like his 7 year old wailing because he decides to stand up for something. It may very well be a popularity stunt or it may just be sincere, who knows. But if he changes the attitude of even a few young people for the better it’s all good in my book. People always say the same thing: blah blah stunt blah blah rich BLAH! Seriously, get over it. His music sucks ass and he doesn’t know what Germany is, but at least someone is doing something to make this a better place to live in, even if it’s for popularity.

  53. bob says:

I support this cross dresser and her stand for LBTG

  54. Frank says:

How is being called gay hurtful? It may be factually incorrect, but otherwise, who cares?

  55. Lesath says:

I’m sorry, but if there’s any bebian that would be Justin Beiber himself, he looks like a lesbian and lesbians came before him.

  56. Decklund says:

Am i the only one who tried several times to play the video attached to the article before realising that it was not going to play.

  57. MM says:

If people really want to take a stand, they need to be helping these kids realize the destructiveness of the gay lifestyle and guide them toward God’s forgiveness. Trying to tell them ‘it’s okay’ won’t keep them from ultimatel destruction in the end. No one should be bullied or harrased, no. But seeing everyone who’s against the lifestyle in the same light is foolish as well. Not all of us are haters and not all of us are afriad of gays. And speaking out for the truth of God’s word is NOT hate or bigotry in any way. It’s done out of LOVE, period. Not all of us are in the mold of the Phelps crowd.

  58. Royal Jelly says:

The ad at the bottom isn’t really a fail. The fact that he looks like a lesbian is only helping the cause – like dressing up as a slaughtered cow for a PETA protest.

In all seriousness, though, it’s a nice thing he’s doing. Just wanted to add that in there.

  59. robert ot says:

for the pro-biebers always crying “leave him alone”,”hes just a kid”,blah blah blah listen I have no beef with gay folks but even when i was 16 i avoided my schoolmates who dressed/behave like he does so if he wants to be left alone he should man up. there is a huge diffrence between miley/britney and the icarly girl/taylor swift they can be famous and lame (in the adults eyes) but dont be slutty or look like a girl.

    • Royal Jelly says:

If you feel the need to start off with “I have no beef with gay folks, but…” then you obviously have a problem with gay folks.

  60. Pete says:

    EPIC WIN

  61. Drew says:

As much as I don’t like Justin Bieber’s music (if one can call it that), I have to give him kudos for doing this. The 12 year old’s mother should also start questioning her kid as to where he learned to insult people that way at only 12. If it was me, I would have knocked some teeth out of that little s**t.

  62. Ms B ♥ says:

The 12 year old had a valid point though

  63. spidertroll says:

    EPIC WIN!!!!!!

  64. Michael Jackson says:

~~Sponsored by Justin Beiber Is Without A Doubt Gay Association~~
    For Sure Epic Win!!
~~Sponsored by Justin Beiber Is Without A Doubt Gay Association~~

  65. James B. says:

    I literally facepalmed

  66. JB sucks says:

    WIN!!

  67. laweegee says:

ok… she isn’t straight, and she isn’t 16 yet… those are also fails

  68. bluejay says:

he should really stop denying the truth, everyone knows he doesnt have anything below the waste anyway lol
