Well, we know the basics of it. Watermelon + Big slingshot + Backfire – all protection = Head explosion. Or an impact that looks similar to it.

It would be epic if it didn’t defy the laws of physics (initial potential energy of launcher must be exceeded in order to strike the operator in the face).
naw. That would only apply if the melon stayed in the launcher. what appears to have happened here is that it got tangled/twisted and didn’t release the melon on the forward path but did release the melon on the return path.
LOL.
The watermelon got twisted in the launcher, so when it traveled to the opposite side, the elastic stretched again, and the restoring force sent it sailing back toward her.
Make yourself a slingshot, twist something up in it, and try it out for yourself if you sincerely don’t think it’s possible.

This is a fake. It’s set up on American TV. Scripted into the show. If you watch it you can see she has no mark on her face, no bits of melon…just wet, because it’s a water balloon.

1 – It’s sped up. It’s still a solid hit in the face, but it’s nothing like it appears in this “video”
2 – Why the motherfu(king sh1t would you upload an animated gif, when you could just have uploaded the actual video? It’s already widely spread and unless I remember wrong, it has even been on failblog.
I actually prefer the gifs, mainly because sometimes I’m on a junky computer that, for whatever reason, can’t display the videos, so the gifs make it easier on me LoL.
