I can see how an accident like this could occur. It appears the driver of the car was following the googlemaps camera vehicle and didn’t notice the bicyclist on his right side. I mean, who rides a bike in this town, anyways?
They have no staff to go through the plethora of images they generate. Everything is automated. The guy just has to drive the vehicle. And avoid accidents…
So if the guy wants this removed, he only needs to contact Google.
ZombieApocalypse - wearing a slightly soiled ~I ♥ Bloggy~ t-shirt, a sign around his neck reading "GONE FISSION" and riding a pale zombie horse named Pooka says:
I plugged in the address provided above by oggologgo, and got an odd result. While the location appears to be correct, there are some inconsistencies. For one, the time of day is totally different. Also, the people/vehicles on the street are not the same. I don’t get it.
In a way, I think I would concur. The day I get run over by a Mercedes would be a payday win for me; regardless of the circumstances. I don’t care if I could look like a red carpet laid out across the Daytona Speedway. In such a case, I would be buried in style. [puts on sunglasses; deal with it]
@Jerko – I’m not sure where you are located but in the USA that would most likely be the case. In Europe, however, owning a Mercedes is kind of like owning a Volkswagen Beetle. They are plentiful and don’t usually reflect a person’s social status or wealth. I say usually. There ARE some exceptions, but this doesn’t look like a top model Mercedes to me.
It appears to be only a 190E – still a decent car though – but, they are fairly cheap and plentiful now. At least they were before the scrappage scheme in the UK. The same is happening/ has happened to BMW, thanks to salesmen and business men in their 320D company cars. Much like the Vectra was. And of course the Audi A4 1.8T
I am in the USA, by the way (Hey that rhymes!)
Regardless…
From where I’m sitting, if they are driving a car that doesn’t have any rust on it, they’re doing better than I am.
the bike is died, much like Teri. And I really hope I’m getting your reference right for this; could be a moment of pure win if I’m right, or a complete fail.
It was the man on the bike who tried to follow the Google car trying to take a photo it with his phone, and that didn’t go as planned. He were asked by Google if he wanted it removed, but he thought it was funny to keep it in street view.
This is not fake. It was in the news on Danish television, and the guy on the bike got interviewed for his accident. He said he didn’t wanted it to be removed, so dunno why it is gone?
Move B****, get out the way!
My favorite Google Maps scene was the one from a ghetto neighborhood near Chicago. Some dude was pointing a gun at another dude.
Lol, that’s awesome.
Mine’s the spanish dude picking up a couple of prostitutes
Our cat appears on two of the pictures taken outside our house!
She’s now known as ‘Gizmo, the World Famous Google cat!
Too bad your cat isn’t famous.
Can’t you read? It’s World Famous!
google maps makes us learn so much about the world

This is why you should never use a laptop while bike riding….
he wasent using his laptop.. he was trying to take a photo of the google car with his phone.. thats why he failed so mutch :b
Looks like he was using his laptop as GPS.

Good point. Clearly this rogue bicyclist who doesn’t belong in this urban milieu!
Why the manequen has the face blured???
Googlematic face blurrement. It’s their technology to protect their rears from getting sued over people’s privacy rights.
Haha, that’s awesome
that struck me first….actually is funnier than the bicycle thing.
What are the cordanits to it? I wanna look that up also
its at “Vestergade 12, 1456 København, Denmark” but they have removed it :/
Yay.. bad
and … i’m from Denmark..
Coordinates?
they dont care they put it anyways

DOT ORG!
made my day
XD How so very appropriate.
INFO ABOUT THE INCIDENT:
The guy falling actually works for google too. When he saw the google car, he was taking a picture of it with his cellphone, which is why he fell.
Location is Vestergade 12, Copenhagen, Denmark
But the picture has been removed from streetview
The guy was watching st[r]eaming p*rn on his laptop while riding his bike.
yeah hard hit the road
I’m not trying to call fake but every google street view image I’ve seen, the camera has been far lower.
Why does the camera appear so high on this. Did Google map this town while riding on top of a bus?
I plugged in the address provided above by oggologgo, and got an odd result. While the location appears to be correct, there are some inconsistencies. For one, the time of day is totally different. Also, the people/vehicles on the street are not the same. I don’t get it.
The picture was changed. Either way, it’s the same area. I confirmed it.
Looool. Who said this was a fail?! This was a total WIN. Hahaha.
In a way, I think I would concur. The day I get run over by a Mercedes would be a payday win for me; regardless of the circumstances. I don’t care if I could look like a red carpet laid out across the Daytona Speedway. In such a case, I would be buried in style. [puts on sunglasses; deal with it]
Google has some of the funniest fails!

DID THE BIKE DIED?
the bike died… can’t you see? when the wheels are in the air, bike is dead… it’s like fish, but without wheels…
the bike is died, much like Teri. And I really hope I’m getting your reference right for this; could be a moment of pure win if I’m right, or a complete fail.

iRageWin: He didn’t die
and blur fail. look at the face of female manikin.
puppet face gets anonymity crashed biker not, lol
No, actually it is a win. Google uses an algorithm to spot faces and plates and blurs them automagically.
This is not fake. It was in the news on Danish television, and the guy on the bike got interviewed for his accident. He said he didn’t wanted it to be removed, so dunno why it is gone?
cause the drive back to make more shots of the dead bodies unfortunately he was gone and the automatic record overwrite it
Go Gizmo!!!
=^.^=
Loser… anyone knows that you can’t outride a crazy driver with a crappy bike!
You got a fast car, don’t do you no good if the traffic ain’t movin’. I got a bicycle. I fly past your car that still ain’t movin’.
Why is the mannequin’s head on the left blurred out?
this fail got him on tv.
Link for this on maps?
I would prefer to call this a car fail
This picture is from Denmark. The guy was trying to take a photo of the google car with his phone, when he fell.
Hey, I sent this in!
Mine’s in Mexico City a Guy stealing a car!

guy trying to take a pic of a Google car..
