Why? It would still be 36 years of service. Unless you think they dedicated the park to him while he was still in his capacity of service, which I doubt they did.
wow macfall, have u really had this long a conversation about this? it’s a joke, man. if u don’t like puns that are in some cases innuendos, then u really shouldn’t be on FAILblog. get a life and quit bagging on our fun. and by the way, i did get quite a kick out of reading all ur snobbiness.
*Ppllllbbbtttttt* ~So sorry that we can’t all be as high-brow as you.~
Name fails are pretty common around these parts though.
Moe Lester
Mike Hawk
Bud Light
All of those have found there way to this site.
Except I didn’t. I only objected to the idea that a person’s name can be a FAIL. As far as names go, either their capacity for innuendo is intentional, in which case it is more likely to be a “win”, or it is not, in which case it is mere coincidence. Laugh if you want; if you’re that easily amused you can call it “funny”. But in neither case is it a failure, and so it has no place on this blog. Maybe there should be a site for “funny name coincidences” or something like that.
I often wonder how sad an joyless (and humo(u)rless) the lives of people like MacFall must be. To not see the silly joke in something innocuous EVER is unbelievably sad to me.
Okay then, you should know that all fails are user submitted. And user voted on. Perhaps you should submit a few photos or videos, should you hope to improve the quality around here.
I am all for improving the quality around here. Alas, I rarely have a camera with me when I see things failworthy.
My point is, you can make this a better site. But do it by contributing something to it. Not complaining about it.

I, for one, would like to thank you, Mac. It’s comments like yours that remind me why I usually steer clear of the user comments on failblog… it’s people like you who put the “fail” in “failblog”
Lol, I thought this was funny reading. It’s a fail since it points out what the average person with a sense of pointing out dirty innuendos would see, but I guess you can’t run that by some cool guy looking down from a balcony laughing at unworthy peasants. Lolz, kidding.

That’s because it is shopped . All the letters are in straight line , they are all the exact same size , and if you look closely you will realise it too .
Same size is not a good or only argument , but watch closely and you will see it .
Over and over I see photos here with name like this! But if you have name: example-Di(c)k Bliss why they dont make name Bliss Park, but make name with Di(c)k??? People must think before make sign/parks name etc
I actually came by that sign this summer, I went up to Northern California, and was thinking of taking a picture, but decided not to. It’s right to the left of some fish hatchery.
Dedicated service *snork*!
The funny part is that it ended in ’69.
Any good service does.
Hee!
that’s probably when he got married
*Blaaargh*
u realize they had 2 replace this sign every year?
Why? It would still be 36 years of service. Unless you think they dedicated the park to him while he was still in his capacity of service, which I doubt they did.
Despite your avatar you remain obtuse. Is it on purpose?

Come back when you’ve completed the course work.

Since when is preferring wit over stupid coincidence “highbrow”?
Since you put the effort into posting a comment deriding folks getting a quick laugh over it.

He’s my high school gym teacher’s son!!????!!!???
OK. I believe you. Really.

No, in fact I’m a Stoic. That’s pretty much the furthest thing from emo you can get.
Laughing at people’s name is really bad. If everyone laugh at your name, and that people can see it on failblog, you won’t find funny. Sad but true.
Unfortunately, sometimes the effort truly is a waste of time.
Rule 11.

36 years? I thought you were supposed to call a doctor after 4 hours.
*snortle*
HAHAHAH then look at the dates. XD
What dates?
hitler hide there with his pants down
69? Lol
Name fails ARE funny… especially names which are chosen on purpose such as someone I know named Herb Reefer!
How is this a fail?
“36 years of dedicated service” id think someone would’ve contracted an STD by now…
there has been no fail committed here…
well i don’t get it
looks shopped
That’s because it is shopped . All the letters are in straight line , they are all the exact same size , and if you look closely you will realise it too .
Same size is not a good or only argument , but watch closely and you will see it .
its it like a text on a image not as photographed text
everything looks shopped to you guys, can’t you just look it up on Google???
yeah dingus, it’s a park at the base of Mt. Shasta in northern California. I know because I’ve been there. Photoshop THAT, turdburglar!
the service is working very long
“¬_¬ i really hate you people who ruin a good FAIL
Yeah, me too. But to which “good FAIL” are you referring? Because there’s not one in this entry.
Over and over I see photos here with name like this! But if you have name: example-Di(c)k Bliss why they dont make name Bliss Park, but make name with Di(c)k??? People must think before make sign/parks name etc
DUDE! I’ve been there. It’s in Mt. Shasta, CA, and I have a picture of it that I totally intended to post one day.
Once I got around to it of course, lol!
Isnt this from an episode of My Name Is Earl?????
I’m pretty certain it is, the show had a whole sketch about a youth camp with really inappropriate names.
it says 36 years of dedicated service
from 1933 to 1969???
off by 6 years
I actually came by that sign this summer, I went up to Northern California, and was thinking of taking a picture, but decided not to. It’s right to the left of some fish hatchery.
So now a person’s name is a fail? Adolescent idiots.
should had been from 69-96
I love how the end of the second year is the number 69
I WAS HERE!!! WE TOOK A PICTURE OF IT AND IT WAS AWESOME! ITS RIGHT OUTSIDE A TOWN CALLED WEED!
