I’m just glad that people don’t steal food where I work. It seems to be a pretty common problem elsewhere.
I just won’t play that game for numerous reasons:
1. I quickly learned that if I eat at work, I’m still working. Seriously, I can be sitting in the break room eating and someone is almost guaranteed to show up with a problem that needs to be resolved now because there’s a customer that’s waiting and the customer is getting angry.
2. No matter how I label it, no matter where I store it, some moron feels the moral right to let my lunch escape. Usually they run screaming from the building, but sometimes they get this vengeance streak going. Have you ever had to fight down your lunch before you ate it?
3.
Safety.4. I live a mile away from my work anyway, so it is actually easier to go home and get lunch there than it is to drag it kicking and screaming to work, only to have it released again before lunch anyway.
Safety no longer a problem?

I don’t have those problems either thankfully. There’s only a limited number of people in my building too, so if anyone tried I could figure it out.
Uhhh… Where do you get you’re lunch? ‘Cause I’m pretty sure there would be a news story by now of mysterious dissappearances of people three times a day. Or does one or two get you through the day?
I’ve heard stories here (at work – not “here at FailBlog”). I keep an ice pack in my lunch box & keep the whole thing at my desk.
And that’s what you do in your work time?

I don’t think so. Perhaps a co-worker sprayed me with something when I was too busy storing my lunch under my desk to notice anything was amiss.
I must admit. Putting a bag under my desk and keeping it there all day takes an inordinate amount of my time.
You should start tracking all the time you spend doing that. Enter the data into a spreadsheet. Make a chart, then put it in a PowerPoint presentation.

Well, where did you get that from? This could easily happen. Lunch stealers are common at offices. And the “Imma let you finish” interruption is extremely popular, and anyone could have made that sign easily, so there isn’t really any good reason why it would be fake. And don’t give me any pixel BS.

This is, without a doubt, the best way to strike back at food thieves.
Lucky me, i only work with one bloke. We have massive freezers that get down to -31.6 celsius. He knows I’d hate to have to lock him in.

Not this exact one, but the idea for this was ripped off from another post.
I used to keep a jar of jelly belies on my desk for guests, a different flavor each week. There was one coworker (emphasis on the cow) who would, when I wasn’t there, take a whole handfull and put them all into his mouth at once. So one week I put jalapeno jelly bellies into the jar. You could hear him all the way across the building.
