» 131 Failures in Communication

  1. iDream says:

Peter Rabbit better stay well away from this place, or he’ll end up as rabbit stew.

  2. ¡Great Scott! Me transmitte sursum, caledoni ▲Caution slow posts▲ says:

But I want my nutrition to be cuddly too!
    *pouts*

  3. JackRipper says:

    Yea I want both

    • fuzz on the concept says:

      yea verily they multiply

    • Damaged says:

It says quite clearly OR, so you can get cuddly ones or ones that are nutritious.

Maybe if we pay extra we can get ones that are both? Or we could just use some gaffer tape…

    • Mithi says:

But you can have both! It’s “OR” which means “a or b or both”. If the critter could be only one it would be “cuddly XOR nutritious”!

  4. joe says:

    taste like chicken

  5. Cloral says:

I’ll bet this is that woman from Rodger and Me.

  6. fuzz on the concept says:

    chewing your cud?

  7. Boba Fett says:

    Cuddly, or nutritious?

    YOU be the judge!

  8. Michael says:

The sequel to Roger and Me was called Pets or Meat. Is the fail that this is too oblique, or that it’s 30 years late?

    http://www.wwnorton.com/college/film/movies2/ch/01/images/roger_pets_or_meat.jpg

  9. The Great Lab Monkey - Flinging poo at an undisclosed location near you. (only 2 more weeks!!) Proud owner of "Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage"!!!! says:

Cuddly or nutritious….cuddly or nutritious….cuddly or nutritious

    Too many choices!!!

    *head asplodes*

  10. Tyler says:

Cuddley? Maybe. Nutritious? I think not. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC2RYiaM6WU

    • Megan says:

YES! I came here to inform people too!!

Rabbit is not nutritious really! haha

      • Heckbird says:

Actually, it’s VERY nutritious. Very high protein, low fat, low cholesterol and all white meat. Actually one of the healthiest meats out there. Tastes darn good too.

  11. Mineral says:

Clearly this sign fails…it should read:

    Cuddly, THEN nutritious.

  12. JW says:

Unless you’re pointing out the spelling error, then this is a win. Stop labelling wins as fails!

  13. Nylund says:

Reminds me of the old Michael Moore movie “Roger & Me” (about GM moving plants out of Flynt) where he interviews a recently laid off lady making ends meet by selling rabbits. Like this, the buyer gets to choose if its to be dinner or a pet. Best part is when he asks her what her dream job is and she says, “a vet,” right as she clubs and skins a still twitching bunny (the last buyer had chosen “dinner.”)

  14. Naomi says:

I like to bite the ears off first.

  15. jroper73 says:

    What’s wrong with the sign?

  16. Smitty says:

When we had pet rabbits the first line in the rabbit care handbook we bought read “Rabbits make great pets, pies, and petticoats.” I’ll never forget that.

Shocker Number 2? Your adorable pet piggy is made out of PORK!!!

  17. A_ninja says:

    i vote win!

  18. Mike says:

    Spelling fail, cuddle win.

  19. Terry says:

This site loves to call things “fail” when it’s pretty clear the person doing whatever it is knows very well what they’re doing. They do it all the time, and it’s irritating. Case in point, this one. He was being tongue-in-cheek, he didn’t care whether you wanted to cook the things or have them as pets. “fail” implies something ironic – something accidentally funny. The tag on this one should just say “mildly amusing sign.”

    anyway /endrant

  20. hawaiian warrior says:

    stupes! aurite!

  21. NOX911 says:

    Why isn’t this a WIN?

  22. SpongeRinger says:

For goodness sake, Failblog is going downhill, so many Wins marked as Fails.

  23. grannycatflap says:

    ….or sexy

  24. Tim says:

I just find it odd they could spell nutritious correctly, but misspelt cuddly.

  25. Himself says:

    WIN, straight to the point!

  26. Ari Gold says:

    i’d call this a win!

  27. TheSnark says:

Vlaamse Reus (Flemish Giant) is nutritious.
“Pooltje” or “Hollandertje” (little Polish or Dutch) is cuddly. Not worthy of the lunch.

  28. TheSnark says:

    you wascally wabbit!

  29. Nandexus says:

And this is not a fail how?

  30. Nandexus says:

sorry, I meant to say this should be a win

  31. Sammo says:

Apart from protein, rabbit has pretty much no nutritional value.

  32. junk666 says:

    NOMM…NOMM…NOMM…NOMM…NOMM…NOMM… Bugs Bunny Fails Again…

  33. Kai says:

Rabbits are actually quite fairly good to eat. The celts and all sorts of people used to eat them

  34. The Scientist says:

Actually, as Samme said, rabbit has very poor nutritional value. Protein aside, like some other ‘game’ meats (including some poultry), rabbit actually takes more energy (in kilojoules (kj)) to digest that it returns in nutritional value. So, in effect, if all you ate was rabbit, you would starve to death. So in fact this is most definitely a fail, as rabbit really isn’t nutritious, as demonstrated.

    • Obsyd says:

The Scientist, Not sure where your getting your data.. But you might want to recheck it.

      Rabbit (wild) 100g – Protein 33 Fat 4 Calories 173
      Beef (Grass fed-ground)- 100g- Protein 19 Fat 13 Calories 115

      Source http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/lamb-veal-and-game-products/4650/2

      • The Scientist says:

Whilst you may have the data of what it gives you, do you have the data on what it takes to digest? No. So how is this counter-acting my point? It takes energy to digest rabbit which it doesn’t give enough back of, only protein. And you whilst you need protein, you also need energy in kj…

See RabbitEater’s post below for more detailed evidence.

        • LizzyBet says:

I just looked at the website… rabbit is actually really high in iron and B12, higher than beef. Would you please explain what it is about game meat that makes it harder to digest than domesticated animal meat? Obviously people in america aren’t starving to death eating diets high in meat.

          • The Scientist says:

Which website are you referring to? See RabbitEater’s post below if you’re referring to Obsyd’s source…

And is everyone eating rabbit in America? I think not. More likely they’re eating a mixture of mainly beef and pork. Most of it from places like McDonalds. *facepalm*

Rabbit is generally a ‘wild’ meat, as we have stated, and whilst I’m not familiar with how it is more difficult to digest, as I’m informed on these matters by a friend of mine who’s a micro-biologist, I believe its something to do with the fact that many game meats are non-domesticated, and therefore aren’t protected and fed by farmers, and as such their meat is ‘tougher’. But don’t quote me on that until I’ve checked vis a vis my micro-biologist…

  35. oggologgo says:

    That’s a WIN ffs

  36. udamdirtyape says:

    So true…. WIN!

  37. RabbitEater says:

Rabbit meat does not contain enough nutrition to keep a human alive – if you eat ONLY rabbit meat, you will die of malnourishment. A diet of only rabbit can lead to starvation/death.

    http://newveganmom.blogspot.com/2008/06/eating-only-rabbit-can-kill-you.html

    • Heckbird says:

And who is going to eat a diet of just rabbit? Get real. It’s high protein, low fat and low cholesterol. A diet of just any one thing can lead to malnourishment and death.

  38. redskincow says:

This is why I don’t eat Lobster anymore. I used to race them on the kitchen floor before eating them.

  39. Rachael says:

Run away! Run away! Killer rabbit.

  40. Uvulu says:

please, Failblog, please… stop labeling wins as fails

  41. Cheese Hammer says:

I can’t see how this is fail. Is it failure to include “delicious”?

  42. CF says:

That is so wrong! Total FAIL!

    (Cuddly is misspelled)

  43. zappafrank says:

Ah, I see what the fail is. It’s obviously asking a question, yet there is no question mark.

  44. GigaGuess says:

    It’s a valid question!

  45. WetSandinMyTummy says:

    Both is true.

  46. GodLessTheUSA says:

Haha, I’ve taken pictures of that sign myself.

  47. ChaosBahamut says:

Cuddly? We all know rabbits are deadly creatures who’ll go after your neck and bite your head off.

  48. DonHavlicek says:

This sign is on the Southwest Corner of Michigan Route 66 and Holland Lake Road in Montcalm County, about 2 miles North of Sheridan, MI.

And .. they are both cuddly and nutritious!

  49. Lol says:

    Cuddle cuddle… NOM!

  50. luniet says:

have you ever eat rabbit meat grilled with sweet soy sauce? it’s delicious and nutritious, but they are too cute for being grilled

  51. DoomNuken says:

    Stop petting our food :D

  52. CurmudgeonlyOne says:

Yep. That’s a fail. They aren’t just nutritious; they’re delicious. And I’m gonna have one in my crock pot before friday since it keeps eating my vegetables.

  53. me says:

if god didnt want us to eat rabbits, he would have made them taste like tofu. (its a joke for all of those who dont believe in god)

  54. Amoredre says:

I beg to differ on this one. I think this is a win. They may have misspelled a few things but I’m totally okay with selling bunnies for both food and pets. When one gets out of line, you simply eat it. >:D

  55. The Great Lab Monkey - Flinging poo at an undisclosed location near you. (only 2 more weeks!!) Proud owner of "Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage"!!!! says:

It’s ok, Gracie…it was a spare head! We have them lying about like dead flies in the lab! ;)

  56. The Great Lab Monkey - Flinging poo at an undisclosed location near you. (only 2 more weeks!!) Proud owner of "Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage"!!!! says:
