  1. Mouse says:

Do you want to save before you quit?

  2. jacio9 says:

You’s need to relax if you had to wait that long.

  3. How much is that in dog days?

  4. CiviCity says:

    First?

  5. Mouse says:

    Is your software Y3K compliant?

  6. Nick-I-Think says:

Finally a bargain. The other companies were making me wait a good million days.

  7. hawaiian warrior says:

    shoulda just said “bumbai”. aurite!

  8. Cloral says:

    Sounds like my internet connection.

  9. Dragon Fire says:

well, that’s faster than windows vista!

  10. PC says:

just 710 and 1/2 years I’m sure you’ll still be alive then, no worries

  11. ZombieApocalypse - wearing a soiled, blood soaked ~I ♥ Bloggy~ t-shirt, a sign around his neck reading "RUSH ROCKS!" and riding a pale zombie horse named Pooka says:

Well, at least we know the incremental backups will happen faster. Patience is key, you know.

  12. Datahog says:

Could be a large harddrive over a dial up connection… except that a 56k modem would take ‘only’ 866 days to back up a 500 gig harddrive in full. Though, 6000 days on a 9.6k modem. And 24000 days on a 2.4k modem.

  13. Euphemism says:

    259,260 days… better than never. ;D

  14. TLK says:

It could be worse. I’ve had status windows tell me my uploads/downloads only have [infinity] minutes remaining.

  15. Nesbroslash says:

Shouldn’t that chick be a skeleton by now?

  16. Casey Jones says:

As an employee of Backblaze I find this completely awesome.
The number of days is calculated by how much data the customer has and what they set their own network throttle at. So if a customer puts the network throttle at the lowest setting and has a terabyte of data to backup, it will complete the backup by the time monkeys rule the planet.

I’ll ask the engineer to change it from “Relax” to “Time to freak out”.

  17. MrOpinion says:

So just what is the ‘fail’ here if I may ask, as several of you clearly figured out it isn’t 259 or 260 days but about 710 years, a time that I am not concerned with if they cheat me by a couple of years (decades or centuries) …………. It sounds good to me
Now if you think it’s a fail because they meant 259 days than it would be a complete failure of a back up service.

    • MrOpinion says:

Never Mind -…. should read this stuff at 3 am, after multiple 14 hr days

missed the ‘in’ , oh well, I guess they have a lot of clients, so a long waiting list ;-/

  18. Ari Gold says:

    you’ll be dead..

  19. caggy says:

That’s less than 710 years! Wow, this is going to be over before I know it!

  20. Suicidal Cheez says:

Do they mean 259 to 260 days or do they mean over 720 years?

  21. FailScout says:

    -700 Years later-

S#17, only ten more years to go! I’m on a roll!

  22. K says:

this reminds me a Chinese pop’s name is Seven Hundred Years Later

  23. LUVABBW says:

She can back DAT ASS UP!!! ;0P

  24. TenPoundsOfBacon says:

Think about how much more data she’ll get in that 710 years…

  26. DeadParrot says:
