» 51 Failures in Communication

  1. nattysgheh says:

ohhhhh yeah thats right you guys

  2. JJtoob says:

Lol, I just voted for this one this morning, and it’s already in the top! That was faaast!

    • Download360 says:

      Congratulations.. You’ve won!
      What’s your prize?

      • JJtoob says:

I won without knowing, so I don’t know what the prize is, other than the fact that “is right”. Hahah, anyway, what happened to the comment above me?… I wasn’t first… anyway, now I’m wondering if I even voted for this in the “vote” section or on the “featured” site… Oh well, it’s still a funny fail.

      • methinks conspiracy? says:

my question is… is the blue shape thingy shaped like home plate to emphasize the word “safe”?

        • ub3rman123 says:

Very safe. Nothing would happen to a baby in there. Raw garbage, plastic bag, hospital nearby. No problems at all.

        • Tweetie says:

I’m pretty sure that blue shape thingy is supposed to be a home. And home is supposed to connote “safe”.

    • Conrad says:

This was one of the most useless fails ever…. Failblog fail… good try though

  3. Download360 says:

    Bahahaha that’s an ultimate fail.

    • (required) says:

It is a serious fail… but I fail to find it all that funny, that sort of thing has been done to newborns for thousands of years (esp. the Roman Empire, and China to this day).

I’m really not trying to be a fuddy duddy or whiner, this is just a sensitive issue for me.

      • Wow, I’m probably going to go to hell for this, BUT that’s why it’s funny. Sorry. That’s the truth though. Department of Redundancy Department.

        • (required) says:

Nah, I understand what you’re talking about. At least it wasn’t over the paper shredder.

Its just that this particular one is something I’ve hyper sensitive about, given some stuff I’ve been studying for class in western/eastern civ.

      • Patrick says:

They’re not saying abandon the baby in the bin. It’s a hospital. You can bring a baby in there, say that you’re abandoning it, no legal repercussions. The baby will be turned over to family services.

It’s to avoid dumping them IN the bins. If anything it’s simply a bin placement fail.

  4. BIGTony530 says:

    who wants a taco???

  5. ffdsfs says:

    Portugal?

  6. Funzo says:

It’s sad that s**t like this has to exist in the world

  7. Vader says:

It was a fail even without the trash can.

  8. Conrad says:

I’d hate to see what the ‘unsafe’ surrender looks like…

    • satsumo says:

Unsafe surrender happens frequently, thats why they have to create things like this. Some babies really do get thrown in the trash.

  9. uLoop says:

I am not sure but I fell I have already seen this on failblog, so I’m gonna say this is a repost. Confirmation required.

    • uLoop says:

*feel (typo,I guess I should not be failblogging, its 3am here)

    • TMI Service says:

      same theme:

      failblog.org/2008/08/31/baby-fail/

(A flier from a site providing a haven for unwanted babies, or babies of mothers without resources, that might otherwise be abandoned.)

  10. Euphemism says:

I prefer to recycle. But that’s just me.

  11. Martha says:

I heard some English woman had misread it and put a cat in there instead…

  12. Popanator says:

I was born in a toilet! I swam around and sucked on a delicious corn laden poo like it was a titty! Mmm… POOPIES!

  13. sitakali says:

Safe Surrender allows for a place for women to anonymously surrender their newborns…for those who are against abortion, this is the other option. It’s called safe because it is safe…I don’t see how putting it on a doorstep would be better. http://www.safesurrendersite.com/load/safe-surrender-law

  14. Emperor_Z says:

I don’t know any other way to interpret this other than what it looks like.

  15. LoopDoGG says:

Self created fail, someone pushed the trash can underneath the sign and snapped a pic

  16. Kat says:

I am glad these exist, to be honest, and they are outside some hospitals/clinics I know of. Babies are abandoned every day, and if they are left at a clinic or police station, they have a much better chance, so it’s not really a fail to me.

I’m surprised it’s so deep, though! Some scumbags will just drop the child into that. :(

  17. Ari Gold says:

    so you throw a baby?

  18. Shipoopi says:

This looks like a WIN to me. Who would want a used baby anyways?

  19. gwasshi says:

    Fail? More like EPIC WIN.

Abortions have never been so convenient….

  20. hawaiian warrior says:

mahalo means rubbish, and opala means thanks. aurite!

  21. ClariPossum says:

Actually, I’ll bet they put the sign there on purpose, so that when someone comes up to the trash can to put the baby in it, they’ll see the sign and realize they can take the baby inside, give it to someone, and the baby will be taken care of.

So, really, the placement of the sign is appropriate, but needs to say something like “See someone inside the building for details.”

  22. Beady El says:

Thought the whole point of Safe Surrender was to PREVENT babies ending up in trash bins….

  23. Igetstabby says:

Just have to stomp it to compact em when it starts getting full.
Man I hate emptying it when it’s over flowing.

  24. Chuck Norris says:

Don’t worry, after you leave, I take them to my secret lair where they learn how to become awesome.

  25. It’s not really a fail….. It’s basically saying put the baby here instead of a river or in a dumpster….
