I always wonder if these things are for real. I mean, who does that? How do they put it in without ever questioning whether it’s being done right? Bizarre …
is this the otherside of that esculator fail from around 18 months ago? i guess somebody finally treked the periolous journey to the otherside of that wall… the fail wall!!
Lain and Anon are idiots. Your only feeding the troll by replying to his comments. Do you not realise that he is a pathetic looser and his only celebration and purpose in life is to get attention from strangers on the internet. You are both as lame as him.
ducks is an idiot. Your only feeding the trolls (Lain and Anon) by replying to their comments. Do you not realise that they are pathetic loosers and their only celebration and purpose in life is to get attention from strangers on the internet. You are as lame as them.
Ducks – are you saying that you posted your comment here in the hopes that it will NOT get attention? methinks you’re a part of the conspiracy? hmmmmm????
I must reply logically. Clearly that floor is closed. Clearly there must be a cropped blockoff of said escalator during said floor closure. My best guess.
This one may not be a true fail, but we have seen plenty here that are – like the stairwell handrail across a door that was on here recently. Or stairs that end at a wall. Are the people who design and/or build these things really so vacant that they don’t notice? Or just too apathetic to care? It’s a complete mystery to me how those situations happen.
Also agreed. It’s a temporary, movable wall/barrier. You can see the metal edge on the right of the image and a black edge near the top, it’s clearly not a normal wall. Neither fail nor fake. Above comments are observation fail.
I have seen an escalator like this. I really don’t understand how something like that can happen but I took a picture very similar to this one so no, I don’t think it’s a fake.
No need to wonder – it looks like a temporary, moveable wall that they put up in malls when a store closes or they are redecorating. Not a good enough picture to judge for sure – but certainly not a good fail.
It’s real. I saw tsomething similar at an airport. The area is under a remodeling job. The wall at the end of esculator is a temporary structure used to keep dust and debris in an enclosed area. You can see the black top of the temporary wall in the top right of picture, and there is a sizable gap at the bottom of the wall. That’s proof it is a real picture of a movable temporary wall at the bottom of an esculator!!!
It is. It’s one of those temp walls they put up when they build stuff. They did the same thing at the mall I worked at building an escalator. So yeah not really a fail
im pretty sure i know where this is and its blocking off the rest of a store because they bought it and didnt want to do anything with the tiny second level. this is a major fail by the person who took this. its a freaking TARP not a wall
You all fail… it’s not a wall. It’s a temporary barrier, either cloth or paper draped over a metal frame (which you can see on the right hand side. You can also see the shadow cast by the barrier towards the top of the photo.
This is a fail, fail.
It’s not shopped. It’s just that they decomissioned that scalator without removing it, and then later built that wall that abuts the end of that escalator.
There’s a lady who’s sure
All that glitters is gold
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven
When she gets there she knows
If the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven
There’s a sign on the wall
But she wants to be sure
‘Cause you know sometimes words have
Two meanings
In a tree by the brook
There’s a songbird who sings
Sometimes all of our thoughts are
Misgiven
Ooh, it makes me wonder
Ooh, it makes me wonder
There’s a feeling I get
When I look to the west
And my spirit is crying
For leaving
In my thoughts I have seen
Rings of smoke through the trees
And the voices of those
Who stand looking
Ooh, it makes me wonder
Ooh, it really makes me wonder
And it’s whispered that soon
If we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason
And a new day will dawn
For those who stand long
And the forests will
Echo with laughter
Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, ooh, whoa, oh
If there’s a bustle in your hedgerow
Don’t be alarmed now
It’s just a spring clean
For the May queen
Yes, there are two paths you can go by
But in the long run
There’s still time to change
The road you’re on
And it makes me wonder
Aw, uh, oh
Your head is humming and it won’t go
In case you don’t know
The piper’s calling you to join him
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow?
And did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind?
(Solo)
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The truth will come to you at last
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll
That’s actually a temporary partition put up to prevent people from using the escalator during constuction or remodeling. The only fail here is by whomever uploaded the pic.
Neo: “OK, another task, just passing through this wall”
*Bumps head and bleeds to death*
L.W.: “We will definitely not include this. Let’s find another Neo now”
A.W.: “What about making it available to watch in a Director’s Cut edition?”
L.W.: “Hell NO.”
Lame. Not a fail. Obviously a curtain of some kind put up during construction or maintenance. That is not a solid wall. Solid walls do not have wrinkles in them.
I always wonder if these things are for real. I mean, who does that? How do they put it in without ever questioning whether it’s being done right? Bizarre …

this is obviously a shopped pic of an escalator. methinks conspiracy? hmmm???
Lame. Not the pic, but you.
Agreed.
Lain and Anon are idiots. Your only feeding the troll by replying to his comments. Do you not realise that he is a pathetic looser and his only celebration and purpose in life is to get attention from strangers on the internet. You are both as lame as him.

In this case, though, fake is obviously correct.
If anyone thinks that someone really built an escalator that stops against a solid wall they’re away with the fairies.
Well contrary to them, I think you are right. This doesn’t look real. This looks too small. Methinks it’s for a doll house.
It’s more likely one of those temporary walls they put up during construction.
Agreed, looks like a temporary construction wall, and therefore not a true fail.
Definitely a temp barrier. Cleaning construction dust out of an escalator is an ugly mess.
Also agreed. It’s a temporary, movable wall/barrier. You can see the metal edge on the right of the image and a black edge near the top, it’s clearly not a normal wall. Neither fail nor fake. Above comments are observation fail.
Are you some sort of rtrd? You can blatantly see a ‘work’ wall, where they are doing some work… and the fact the metal plate goes under the wall.
I have seen an escalator like this. I really don’t understand how something like that can happen but I took a picture very similar to this one so no, I don’t think it’s a fake.
No! IT’S NOT A DAMN CONSPIRACY ALREADY!!! SHUT UP!!!!
That’s just what “they” want you to say…
i don’t think loler quite gets it…

You think just like me. I was actually thinking the same thing before i started reading the comments
fail
the wall looks fake
my grandma also has wrinkles and she isn’t fake. Whats ya point???
It is. It’s one of those temp walls they put up when they build stuff. They did the same thing at the mall I worked at building an escalator. So yeah not really a fail
Gasp – IT’S AN ESCAMAVATOR! *giggles wildly*
temporary construction site. very common.
That’s what i thought too. The wall doesn’t look like a proper wall. So i think it’s part of a shop or mall under construction.
Oh, that’s just the way to get to the Hogwarts Metro system. Steam trains are SO last century.
… and size 9 3/4 platforms are so 70s …
*snort*
Exactly. This was probably taken at a shopping mall from an upper level. The top of the escalator is probably also blocked.
They put that wall there on purpose to block escalator access. This is not a fail.
Actually it’s a win
I’ve seen something like this at LAX. Figured it was a half-assed renovation to restrict access to secure ares.
Actually, none of you guys are thinking with portals.
win comment is win
Ditto. 10 Points.
Looks like Mitch Headberg was wrong.
Crap, spelling fail: Should be Mitch Hedburg.
now you’re using your Hed
Stairway to fail
It kinda makes sense. Jumping over the fence burn all the calories, that you didn’t loose by choosing an escalator.
im pretty sure i know where this is and its blocking off the rest of a store because they bought it and didnt want to do anything with the tiny second level. this is a major fail by the person who took this. its a freaking TARP not a wall
*takes evasive action*
They do this stuff all the time. It is simply to block access to something that is under construction or renovations. Not a fail at all.
That’s not a fail, it’s clearly for ghosts!
I guess the “No Non-Ghostly Beings Beyond This Point” signs didn’t work.
It’s just an illusion. You can use the escalator as you normally would. Go head…try.
*Go ahead……damn it.
now you’re using your ahead.
I love this comment. I have nothing to add, but still, yeah!
If this escalator goes up, it’s a FAIL
But if it goes down, it’s a total WIN
The wall certainly can’t be there to block access to a construction site. Uploader fail.
Derf! Obviously the wall was put there AFTER the escalator was built – so this is wall fail, NOT escalator fail
Yep, it’s a temporary wall to keep the construction dust ‘contained’ to the areas they are working on.
When they said “when you come here, you’ll never leave”… they weren’t kidding.
or WALL fail
this is a model
Maybe putting an escalator right at the secret door isn’t such a great idea …
yeah, someone’s bound to figure it out sooner or escalator …
You all fail… it’s not a wall. It’s a temporary barrier, either cloth or paper draped over a metal frame (which you can see on the right hand side. You can also see the shadow cast by the barrier towards the top of the photo.
This is a fail, fail.
Finally, someone saw that! Cloth or paper curtain. Looks like there is some pressure behind it causing it to billow.
its a trap……….
you all fail
It’s not shopped. It’s just that they decomissioned that scalator without removing it, and then later built that wall that abuts the end of that escalator.
In other words, it’s a government building.
End of the line…
This is the end…
failblog fail… god failblog fails so often.
I guess that’s why it’s called failblog. Zing!

Time to rename FailBlog.org to ObservationsOfEntirelyOrdinaryThings.org
Looks like something for Harry Potter
That’s actually a temporary partition put up to prevent people from using the escalator during constuction or remodeling. The only fail here is by whomever uploaded the pic.
umpire says: temporary wall = failblog fail
this is a big big fail!
This picture is taken in the trainstation of Brussels-central, no fake. but it’s indeed just a construction site.
That is clearly a temporary barrier, and the escalator is not going to be in use, this is not a fail…
way too many of these escalator/stair fails into walls/off a ledge
Neo: “OK, another task, just passing through this wall”
*Bumps head and bleeds to death*
L.W.: “We will definitely not include this. Let’s find another Neo now”

err… maybe…. maybe it is for ghosts… :/
lol u fail …
i first read your comment and then you name^^
FAKE AND GAY. . . temp wall britches.
It’s to fool the zombies and anyone passing through.
…then won’t even know the escalator exists!
This site is getting less funny every day SOMETHING MUST BE DONE!
looks like a temporary construction wall.
Lame. Not a fail. Obviously a curtain of some kind put up during construction or maintenance. That is not a solid wall. Solid walls do not have wrinkles in them.
twilight zone construction.
I wonder how they can make so stupid wall!!!
The moment you think you have seen everything some ridiculous thing pops up
*Hums* AARGH! RUN BACK U-WHAMMM!!!!!1!
THIS IS ACTUALLY A WIZARDING WIN
Wile E. Coyote win
