Ah, YOU’re the one. I heard about you. You are the guy who met every single one of 24.000 people who attended the conference – each day. You sign autographs?
I must admit, despite how bad this costume looks, he did do a pretty good job making it considering his resources.
But really? You couldn’t go buy some fake fur at least?
Definitely Dragon*Con in Atlanta, as the previous person noted. Every year they have people who make costumes out of nothing but cardboard once they arrive at the Con, and this one is one of the original ones. I saw WIN as well. Now, if all they did was strap cardboard to their bodies without bending it, etc….
Why is that a Fail? A DIY wookie from duct tape and cardboard is a total WIN. A Fail would be the geeks that spent thousands of dollars to buy a “life-like movie replica chewbaaca costume”.
this is a failure… not a win
chewie is awesome, but this costume is a disgrace
while this belongs on failblog, the title “win” simply because its a chewie outfit fails
Tubebacca….nice
doesn’t seem like a fail to me
ukie win
Absolutely, positively, 100% pure WIN! Failblahg naming fail.
TOTAL WIN!
Agreed!
You should make note of the title. It is quite clearly a win already.
I agree! It must be WIN!
indeed! WIN
WIN in every way.
That was NOT at Comic-Con
Ah, YOU’re the one. I heard about you. You are the guy who met every single one of 24.000 people who attended the conference – each day. You sign autographs?
No, dumbass. But hit is obviously at DragonCon
And none of the hotels in downtown San Diego have a roundabout like the one in the picture.
This is at Dragon Con…
Def DragonCon, that’s at the Marriott I believe
D*CON FTW!
One day duct tape and cardboard will rule the world….you mark my words
Aren’t they already?
I must admit, despite how bad this costume looks, he did do a pretty good job making it considering his resources.
But really? You couldn’t go buy some fake fur at least?
*looks in cupboard*
Hmmmm, I only have hot pink fun fur, could I get away with being a girlie wookie?
K@, you know that you can get away with anything you want.
You’re just awesome like that!
*Squeeze*
Hot pink fur FTW!
I’d say it’s a win ! Or did he die ?
Just if he was first.
Dunno… I think it’s kind of witty.
I like how his left leg seems pixelated.
Maybe the blogmonster ate my comments thinking they were cookies.
you mean first?
Surely thats a win, I mean come on!
oh….and this is at Dragon*Con, not Comic Con. That background is the entrance to the Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta
You eat at the cool kids table don’t you.
He probably didn’t. But he wasn’t longing to either, unlike you.
Second. It’s also, sadly, the first thing I noticed and not the cardboard costume.
Definitely a win!
Seems more of a win to me.
Nope..that’s a WIN..sorry..
He wrote “chew” on it.
Actually, I think it says “Chew-box-a.” That’s pretty effing cool!!
Okay… With this added knowledge, there is NO way this is any kind of fail.
WIN all the way.
FTW (for the wookie/for the win)
hell yeah!!!! chew-box-a win!!!!
Yes. It’s good to see Chewie embracing his Native American heritage.
Not a Fail… wtf, thats creative!
If i see a real Chewbacca costume thats a fail
Yeaa, they finally filmed Paper Man ^^
Totally, completely, absolutely a WIN.
100% WIN!
Does this remind anyone else of Doshin the Giant? some old school gamecube game with a weird looking giant.
No, but I am reminded of the Robert Munsch story “The Paper Bag Princess.”
Don’t screw with the Cardboard Box Wookie!
Sorry but anything Game Cube related doesn’t qualify for old school label. It’s at least half a decade too new.
That is either Chewy or the Scottish version of Sean Connery. Oh wait………
Cardboard Chewbacca 1-0 Costume Nazis
I’d say it’s a WIN
That is a full on WIN! Brilliant.
WIN!!!! ABSOLUTE WIN!
Costume win, Failblog fail.
This is a win.
Chewboxes.
His boxers are showing.
It is awesome and I want it.
WIN!!!!
That is a total WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AHAHAH! WIN WIN WIN!
Clear WIN
Why is that a Fail? A DIY wookie from duct tape and cardboard is a total WIN. A Fail would be the geeks that spent thousands of dollars to buy a “life-like movie replica chewbaaca costume”.
he looks like a Lego Star Wars Chewbacca
Agreed. Lego Star Wars Wookiee was the first thing that popped into my head. The second thing was, “what a cheerful moustache!” =D
I swear, I hate the word FAIL because of posts like these.
Wookies have been known to pull the arms of failbloggers that assign obvious WINS FAIL status.
On second thought, let the wookiee win.
This is the comment that I wish I’d made.
Well played!
For 10 seconds, I was looking at the picture, asking “who the hell is he supposed to be?” and then it hit me…
Effort and creativity win.
win.
They misspelled “WIN”.
Fail?! This thing is utter and ABSOLUTE WIN!
these arent the fails you are looking for!
Yes, total WIN. No way this was a fail. Not sure how to vote on it becuase this should be a win.
That’s Dragoncon not comic con, and that costume is a total win.
Creativity WIN FTW. (Total Failblog negativity fail.)
Failblog can’t tell a Fail from an Epic win
WINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
nice
Chewbaca = win *nuff said*
chewboxa seems like a win to me
Not a fail. Except for the submitter.
Win on the title and FAIL on the picture?? What’s going on…?
this is a failure… not a win
chewie is awesome, but this costume is a disgrace
while this belongs on failblog, the title “win” simply because its a chewie outfit fails
a wild chewboxxa appeared!
you call THIS a win? pretty low standards, huh
LOL… I love how people complained until the FAIL was changed to a WIN…
…and now there’s people complaining about it being a WIN.
You can’t win ‘em all, Fail Blog.
star wars=FAIL

Yay DragonCon! In just a few weeks we’re Atlanta bound too. We’ll see stuff that will make this seem tame!
Fail – saw this at Dragon Con Atlanta in 2006. They need a new act!
Yep, that’s Dragon*Con. There was also Cardboard Darth Vader and Cardboard Storm Troopers.
