  1. Screen says:

    random comment

  2. Avis says:

When did my dad start a butcher’s shop?

  3. Garrett says:

Well, you know the meat is at least boneless.

    • Candy Watson McCoy says:

Ahhh! I knew I recognized this place. I went to high school less than 1 mile away. This is embarrassingly typical for the area.

  4. Avis says:

This is what goes through my head: Wow, look how green that grass is! SOYLENT GREEN IS PEOPLE!!!!

  5. joe says:

must be around memorial day with all those flowers

    • me says:

I hope so, because when I saw all the flowers, I immediately thought it was like this one section of a graveyard near my house: the garden of innocents. Children who died before they had their first birthday.

The garden of innocents always has flowers on it, put there by anyone, not just the kids’ family. I think this picture would be a lot less funny if it was the part of the graveyard for children.

So, hopefully you’re right and it’s memorial day.

  6. Marius says:

Yuk! All of their meat is expired.

  7. Numptyman says:

This site is now spawning pop-ups? Down down down down down down down and out.

  8. W3R3W00F says:

    …Funeral home turned Butcher shop?

  9. beanbag says:

stop calling things juxtaposition if you don’t know what it means! i don’t know how many times i’ve seen ‘juxtaposition fail’ on here and it’s not really a juxtaposition. the two objects are supposed to be contrasting not ironically make sense. a graveyard next to a nursery would be a juxtaposition

    • A Random Pooka says:

Agreed. Technically a juxtaposition is just placing things next to each other, or near each other. But the implication is for comparison or contrast.

  10. me says:

Looks like a win to me!

  11. Joseph says:

Be wary of the ground chuck.

  12. Jonathan says:

I’ve been by there many times. I have always thought of it as hilarious irony.

  13. Hun says:

    sign look shopped

  14. Speciālists says:

What the shop owner think when he open this shop!

  15. “So I was thinking: what do we do with all of the animal parts and gristle that no one ever wants to buy? And then it hit me….”

  16. Macman 1138 says:

Their slogan: “It’s all about the meat.”

  17. daftgoblin says:

Ahhh, you know where to ‘dig’ for their ‘leftovers’.

  18. pissedoffmusician says:

This is a complete and utter fail. EVERYONE knows there also needs to be a pie shop next to the butcher shop.

  19. Born Toby Wilde says:

    LOL Brilliant! :)

  20. Kate says:

This is near my house! I’ve always wanted to take a picture of it but never thought to…

  21. jessie baker says:

the best part to this pic is whats not shown. bentons country hams to the right and morgans meat processing across the street! haha!

  22. supergimp says:

shopped. love it, but i’m still calling shenanigans.

    • Someone says:

I dont think it is shopped. I mean businesses are sometimes built next to cemeteries. In my town there is a Chinese restaurant right next to one. Well on the same street a couple houses down but its practically next to it.

  23. California Dave says:

“It takes all kinds of critters to make Farmer Vincent’s fritters!”

  24. FiveFortyFour says:

It’s definitely not shopped, I pass by it everyday driving to and from school.

  25. Missa says:

Definitely not shopped. The business and the house beside it belong to my Mom’s aunt and cousins.

  26. Jake says:

Srsly, this ain’t shopped. Lived in the next town over for close to 20 years now, and I still damn near pee myself every time I see the place.

  27. caleb says:

this is not photoshopped and i know this because i drive by this everyday lol
