» 114 Failures in Communication

  1. torchrain says:

    MMMMMMMM yes more please!

  2. Lugh says:

Fail? That’s totally a win! Much better than trying to convince me that raspberries come in electric blue.

  3. Mynameisthis says:

    FAIL ?????…NOPE…WIIIIIIIIN

  4. gilligan says:

    Some firm gelatto I imagine

  5. dolly says:

i actually call that a win

  6. Me, not you. says:

it’s GELATO, ignorant. And while the smurf taste it’s not fashionable anymore, they turned out a Viagra Gelato. Hahaha the fail.

p.s. and that is how pistacchio is written, americans. with two “c”, not one.

    • ACH says:

      Your P.S. – not in America….

    • Rapunzel says:

Wait what? No one said anything about pistacchio.

    • Bultaco says:

      @ Me, not you.
I believe that you are supposed to capitalize the first letter of a new sentence, as long as we’re being picky. You fail, sir. And so does your miserable country.

    • suRRendeReR says:

In English, it’s spelt with one ‘c’, like in French, and is not pronounced like in Italian. Also, in English, we don’t use two subjects in a row. Now, if we can spell ‘pistacchio’ – right, I’ll add – in our gelato stores, then perhaps you should improve your English before lecturing the Americans, ignorant. english it’s fashionable hahaha the italians.

    • America says:

In America we spell things differently. Just like how every other country with an english dialect spells things differently. Besides who is talking about the pistachio? I’ll be seeing you the next time whatever crap hole country you are from is banging on the USA’s door for more help to feed your poor, or to fight your war, or to help you with your latest natural disaster.

I don’t like my own country. I hate people from other countries that are sitting on their high horses turning their noses up at their fellow man. Disgusting bigoted ignorant human being you are.

      • zyster says:

Poverty, war or disaster which was ultimately caused by America itself, by the way.

        • fra says:

          @ America

          > In America we spell things differently

maybe america does it out of ignorance, just like the “pepperoni pizza”:

          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pepperoni

“peperoni” (with one T, BTW) means “pepper” in italian: why do you call it that way if it has salami on it? come on, every country has its flaws, don’t be so senstive! ;-)

          • America says:

Did you just link wiki as a valid source? funny.

It is difference in communication. Being ignorant would be saying that any one country is wrong with what they call their nast greasy food.

            • fra says:

well, I know italian so I’m pretty sure “peperoni” means “pepper” and not “salame”. you can google it up, if you don’t trust me or wikipedia.

dude, really: you need to enjoy life! what about a pizza, a beer, some friends and maybe a gelato too? but not viagra, because frankly it’s terrible! :-D

          • High Plains Mom says:

Wow, I never knew there was one “T” in pepperoni.

      • Roberta says:

“’ll be seeing you the next time whatever crap hole country you are from is banging on the USA’s door for more help to feed your poor, or to fight your war, or to help you with your latest natural disaster.”

        Wow, talking about high horses.

        • America says:

Yea my high horse is better than yours.

My point is that this country is obligated to go run off and help all the other countries of the world before bothering to help its own citizens. Which is rediculous. There are people starving here, and getting beat by hurricanes etc. That is what we get for being a ‘superpower’. Time for a revolution.

Time to go eat some pistacchio ice cream with pistacchio topping. Oh and I think I am going to order some pepperoni pizza with ‘salami’ on it.

“Pepperoni is a spicy Italian-American variety of salami (a dry sausage)”

Since we are currently using WIKI as a valid source now. This should end the dumb pepperoni conversation. Thanks Bye.

          • gun girl says:

            @America – You’re my new best friend.

          • fra says:

            > Pepperoni is a spicy Italian-American variety of salami (a dry sausage)

            in america, that’s it.

if you go to italy and order a peperoni pizza you get bell peppers on it, not salami! that’s what we’re talking about: americans using foreign language however they want, and that’s quite funny!

as I told you before: every country has its flaws, don’t be super-sensitive! ;-)

      • CRG says:

You do realize that paragraph 1 entirely contradicts paragraph 2.

    • elk says:

At least American’s don’t require ‘viagra’ flavored gelato.

  7. Starky says:

Ahh…it’s the ice cream shop for men.

  8. jin-lemmon says:

    it’s not gelatto
    it’s gelato

    FAIL for FailBlog!!!!

  9. Mynameisthis says:

where is this shop?lol i want to go there…

    • Brian C. Becker says:

It (or a similar gelato shop) is in Rome, near the Pantheon.

      • Nel says:

Do you realize just how many gelato shops there are in Italy? I’m going to assume that the chance of this particular gelato shop is in fact one by the Pantheon is about 1 to 50,000.

If I saw a picture of an American flag, I wouldn’t assume that it’s the one on 12th street in Cleveland, OH, now would I?

        Geez.

        • Dial M for Mustache says:

He said it could have been a similar one, take a chill pill. Although, that particular gelato shop is the only one I’ve been to in Italy that has viagra….don’t try it, not only is it nasty, but it doesn’t actually do anything :P

          • Catbird says:

OK- so I posted it – and, yes, it is in Rome near the Pantheon (the only Gelato shop you can see from there) and I agree, it could have been a WIN – just depends on your perspective, and I misspelled “Gelato” – so that was MY FAIL and FAILBLOG gets a FAIL for proofreading…

            • Gelato man says:

Yeah, this gelato shop is placed in Rome, but it’s not near the Pantheon, it’s near Piazza España in a little street with a Mc Donald’s near of the shop. I know that because the person who has posted the photograph came with me and bought a viagra gelato in that shop, although it tasted like chocolate.

            • whiteninja04 says:

I swear to god, I thought that was my picture at first because I went to the same Gelato shop near the pantheon, and I have my own picture of it, with the same little balloon cards. The link is here if you want to see.
              http://yfrog.com/neimg0634tj

    • SPAMtheSPAMMER says:

I don’t think it is this one, but I’ve seen the same flavour in a portuguese shop :P

  10. Freak says:

    Color WIN.

  11. Rapunzel says:

    Well, it is blue.

  12. psychoXpsycho says:

Ackshually, viagra flavoured ice creams are real link here http://www.oddee.com/item_96751.aspx and that link has bonuses…so technically its not really a fail….

  13. JJ_B says:

If your delicious lasts more than 4 hours, consult a Ben or Jerry.

  14. Poochner says:

I hope they’re talking about the brown pistachio. Pistachio-flavored items are usually light green, but occasionally that odd red that some companies dye the nuts. There does exist Viagra gelato, and it is about that color blue.

    • Crazy Lady says:

I think that since the word ‘Nutella’ was across the word ‘Viagra’ and ‘Pistachio’ was above, I think that the container for pistachio was above and in the middle of both of them. I would love to try the Nutella, though :)

  15. Spinoza says:

Failblog Title FAIL: GELATO! Not GELATTO!

  16. Sofa King says:

is it a Fail if it works?

  17. IMPREZ says:

U’ll get urself up again in no time

  18. Gelatio says:

    it’s a win.

He knows what viagra means and for this reason he called this blu ice cream viagra.

    Sometimes is called “smurf”

  19. PaulT says:

Ugh! Gross! DISgusting! What were they thinking?!

    NUTELLA?!

  20. POC says:

Look the the title better….. says Gelato with one “T” FAIL!!!

  21. Roarbert says:

This is a real flavor in italy. Ive had a similar thing on my sandwiches.

  22. Nxx says:

Too bad the font on the viagra is different from the others and it’s not stressed across the entire card like the others. Essentially meaning that this is fake and not nearly as fail/win.

    • SPAMtheSPAMMER says:

I don’t know if this one is real or not, but I’ve seen this flavour in a crazy ice cream shop (they also had weird flavours like codfish or spinaches)

    • aletheia says:

I just came back from Italy, and I can tell you for sure, this flavor does exist!!

  23. Sir Topham Hatt says:

  26. barrr says:

i saw that one! it was near piazza di spagna in rome. but i was afraid to buy it:P

  27. Uberraschung says:

For the old man in you!
    Could be taken either way.

  28. Heather J says:

Now available without a prescription? WIN!

  29. Wayne D says:

    I really wanted soft serve.

  30. Sij says:

    Totally a win

  31. Eric says:

  32. 1stcomment! says:

  33. crf says:

  34. Prinny says:

    i say actually piss-stash-io piss(pee) stash(moustache) io(mario)

  35. Jon Boi says:

And if your if your brainfreeze lasts more than 4 hours, please check with your doctor to see if Viagra is right for you.

  36. Dirk says:

    I can’t see a fail here.

  37. Vincent says:

    this is clearly a win.

  38. dondisalvo says:

So you don’t need a cone for it then?

  39. Popanator says:

If you think about it, it really is not the worst idea.

  44. Andre says:

If that is a place in Portugal, it’s not a fail. I’ve been there and I had that same ice cream and it’s good. There a lot of other crazy flavours, too. You should totally try it if you have the chance.

  45. Socket says:

This may be a place in Germany. I know they had this at one point but renamed it to “Smurf” ice cream.

My cousin used to get it all the time :P

  46. Andy says:

I’ll take 69 scoops for my Grandpa plz!

  47. Eli says:

When I first saw this flavor in gelateria at Italy it was amusing. After 4-5 gelateries later I understood that this is a common flavor.

  48. Jabraille says:

I was going to make a comment about the comments being a FAIL, and add something about shutting the hell up, then I remembered that this is on the internet. x.x I’ll just be reading a book now.

  49. rew says:

    Thats on Merida-Venezuela =P

  50. Cirth says:

I saw it too near Trevi fountain in rome… it doesn’t work I tried… Furthermore it tasted nothing and but just for the fun of saying that I ate it, it was well spended money :P

  51. bonesmuggler says:

I’m fairly certain this is Paolo’s Gelateria either here In Charleston, SC, or in Atlanta. I had a roommate that worked there and she told me about having to make this flavor before.

  52. Lai-Lai says:

I googled “Viagra Gelato” & got 47,000 results.

  53. Lotus says:

while my compatriots are too busy correcting spelling mistakes, i’d like to point out some folklore. that blue gelato was rather famous in the past decades as the “puffo” flavour (Puffo is italian for Smurf). unless Gargamel found out a way to make money out of Smurfs, that gelato was pure chemical crap. with time, that flavour got less popular, so the gelataio was brilliant enough to rename the product.
    my verdict: WIN.

  54. Jaybelle says:

WINNN. It’s even the right colour. Me likey.

  55. Jose says:

    Only in Elvira’s America!!!

  56. Me says:

I’ve actually seen the Viagra flavour at multiple places in Croatia, but why is Pistacchio fail?

  57. ArmyGuy543 says:

If you experience a brain freeze lasting longer than 4 hours you should see a doctor.

  58. evan says:

Friend 2: why the hell do you have a boner

  59. Moon_Called says:

Am I the only one who noticed the Nutella flavoured ice cream next to it?

  60. Speciālists says:

Viagra ice cream :) First time see viagra ice cream :D

  61. Cóworker says:

after tasting it,turn around and ask: miss would you do me a favor?

  62. Conflictingsauces says:

Wow I went to Europe last summer and went to that place. They gave a sample, it really didn’t taste that great, but it wasn’t Viagra that’s for sure.
