» 61 Failures in Communication

  1. Fake says:

do homeless people choose to be homeless?

    • Sgt_Raa says:

no they dont!… most of the time….

      • Shredd says:

And most of the time, they’re fault.

        • imouse1 says:

          Wrong.

Extreme poverty, mental illness, medical debt, and imprisonment are the number one contributors to poverty. You don’t choose to be poor (unless you’re a trust fund baby who decides to go out on his/her own) but you can’t get ahead. You don’t choose to be mentally ill but the medication has such terrible side-effects. You don’t choose to have a heart attack, require a liver transplant, or develop any of a thousand acute medical procedures that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to fix when you don’t have insurance. And even if you do have insurance, not all insurances cover these types of procedures or will decline to pay and the hospital takes everything you own. Imprisonment is the only one you could really advocate you wanted to do on the basis that you wanted to get caught to increase your “street cred” but I’m gonna say that 8/10 that isn’t true. Most people are trying to get away from crime and stay out of jail. And being in prison doesn’t technically make you homeless but the effects of legal troubles certainly do. (Also, you can’t be sued out of your home–they can’t take away your house, car, or job but they can certainly make you settle for a lot less nicer version of at least two of those.)

Runaways are also a significant portion of the homeless population. While they arguably do choose to be homeless, most don’t choose to continue to be homeless.

        • Czuhc says:

Now if they were poor spellers, THAT would be they’re fault.

  2. JasonK says:

Actually the one below it is arguably more stupid. At least the joke is cruel but clever.

  3. JQisAwesome says:

Another awful fail for Autocomplete Me. The “When did you stop beating your wife” one wasn’t funny. This one is a known joke as well. It’s not funny. Autocomplete has never been funny. Failblog has really gone downhill recently.

I can’t be the only one who thinks this.

  4. 10loladahl says:

I did the same search (you know… fun)
And I also got: Do homeless people go bathroom

  5. Bobbielh says:

I agree with Bart and JQ.

  6. WTFjuice says:

    :( sadface

  7. Smytt says:

since when don’t you like irony!? This is funny! No one here is responsible for any homeless guy. If you think it’s so sad – go give up your internet connection and buy bread for 5 homeless guys. Hypocrites.

      • r€nato says:

I’m also not responsible for the mentally ill, crippled children, or the blind and the deaf. Let ‘em die in the street if they can’t pull their own weight, I say.

Just make sure they do it out of my sight, so I don’t have to trouble my beautiful mind with them.

        • antirenato says:

Spoken like a true pro-lifer… idiot

          • DrB ★ says:

r€nato was being sarcastic. But yeah, that’s the reaction she/he was aiming for, in highlighting that kind of attitude.

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t volunteer enough time to helping people, but I have salary deductions set-up for a charity that I support. It’s the causes of homelessness that need treatment.

            *steps off box*

    • r€nato says:

Oh, and crippled war veterans? Screw ‘em. I’m not responsible for them either. If they had been any good at fighting all the wars I supported, they wouldn’t have gotten themselves injured.

      • Heh says:

I wonder how many Homeless Died from Sickness, overdose of drugs, “Hobo-Hunting”, random fight, malnutrition, cold and others while you were bringing your Righteousness on the Internet?

So much for helping them out, huh?

      • Avis says:

That’s some kind of troll bait you’ve got going there!!

  8. Limedogs says:

This was acctually something said by a comedian.

  9. Lol'er says:

    Hah, “do homless people live”.

  10. Czuhc says:

Do homeless people understand the tale of the three little pigs?

  11. smokes says:

    good one

  12. One of the smurfs says:

Good one, but not for Failblog :)

  13. Eli says:

I think the question further down was the fail. Do homeless people pay taxes? What are they gonna pay taxes on and with what?

  14. wh00p says:

i say it’s an irony win… cause they’re homeless, you know? yep, it’s me, cpt. obv. !

  15. How is that a fail??? Failblog is forgetting it’s roots. Yes it’s a funny/cool/interesting post of a Google offered search, but where is the win or fail??

    • r€nato says:

the fail is people submitting any old thing they find a little funny/humorous/ironic as a ‘fail’.

Reminds me of a few months back… some guy got it in his head he’d create his own internet viral video by getting his kid to say some quote from a film in an overbearingly cute way and then promote the out of it.

      1) internet viral video
      2) ???
      3) PROFIT (and fame)!!!

Suddenly in comments on blogs here and there, seemingly random commenters were posting about this really cute video of this kid saying… whatever. I think he was reciting some Chuck Norris line or something. I clicked through to it, and it was just lame. The kid was just reciting what dad told him to, it wasn’t at all a spontaneous moment captured on video.

  16. Whitechapel says:

This is more of a win than a fail. Assuming there’s no way in Hell a person can be so stupid to think it’s not intentionally ironic, of course.

  17. Richard Saints says:

I think that’s a win, I’m sure homeless people can’t get knock knock jokes, after all, they really don’t have a door to knock on.. =X

  18. Tulio says:

That was such a nice WIN

  19. dude says:

do homeless ppl get to f*ck ppl? do they use the internet? can they be trolls? WE MUST KILL THEM BEFORE THE RACE OF HOBO TROLLS RISE.

  20. Bird says:

    Truth win?

  21. Anon says:

This is so old even my grandparents have seen it… Welcome to the internets.
