Dinner FAIL: Paul Rudd & Steve Carrell experience fine dining in Dinner for Schmucks, so bring a friend, preferably one you can stand, and see what happens when you get a bunch of idiots at the same dining room table.

Meh! No thank you.
Definitely a ‘wait for video’ possibility. But there’s no way I’ll pay $8 to go see it in the theatre.
I feel the same about pretty much every movie that comes out.
“Despicable Me” is the closest I’ve gotten to seeing one in the theatre. But nobody will go see it with me because they all think it’s stupid.
That stinks. It’s definitely worth the money. So is Inception.
Netflix FTW.
$8? More like $14 in NYC. And this is just a comedic remake of the 1991 ‘Dogfight’ that River Phoenix starred in.
Actually, it’s a remake of 1998 French Film.
In “Dogfight”, they’re bringing ugly dates, not dumb guests.
Mite b cool
F off.
This page is just one giant flash ad now. It loads so damn slow. Thank odin for adblock plus
boring
Pass…
still think its boring
Looks like a poor adaptation of “le dîners de cons”… Can’t imagine how they could make a better version x)
i completly agree Oolongtea (name fail?) just an american copy
Except… the original almost completely takes place inside of one apartment with 2 people… this one looks like it involves a lot more slapstick instead of quick tongues. Which… is…. sad. Seriously, why does hollywood like to destroy things?
Because they are bitter at how bad the movies they make are?
+1
+1. It’s intentionally derived from the (AWESOME) French original. Which I totally recommend everyone go watch.
Yes. The French original, Le Dîner de Cons, or The Dinner Game, was fantastic. While this may end up being a fairly amusing re-vamp, everyone should go out and rent the original FIRST.
First!
There are enough adverts down the side thankyou very much!
But the advertising agencies will never be satisfied until everything is ads; nothing but ads on television, the internet, the signs, everywhere. Soon their will be more ads then actual products, and they we will drown in a sea of advertisment. IT’S MADNESS I TELL YOU, MADNESS!!!!!!!
With everyone recording off DVRs to avoid advertising, THEY’LL INCLUDE MORE ADVERTISING IN THE ACTUAL PROGRAMMING!!!!!
you’ve got to be kidding me – you guys are getting lame!
Another rip off of a great movie.. “diner de con” and this one has to ruin the concept..
Keep that up and I will remove this site from my rss reader…
Looks horrible. Thanks for paying Failblog to keep us from paying to see your fail of a movie.
It amuses me how low a rating this is getting.
Triple fail:
1) Sponsored, completely unfunny video, FB Fail. More of that and well need a FAILBlog Failblog.
2) Fail movie
3) Steve Carrell
@nobbi, i think you just WON
lets open a failblog failbog
Oww FAILBLOG, wait a second, did you just failed? Were you paid to say this s**t is a win? Is it a misunderstanding cause i don’t understand it
With love failblog ;D
Already been done before. It’s called “The Dinner Game.”
Originally, it is a french comedy play “Le diner de cons”, which was adapted by Francis Veber as a movie
in 1998 (same name as the play) ! I had so much laughs with the original one that I do not want to see this one, affaid of
being disapointed…
Poor De Funès, they killed one of his cult movie ! When they’ll made a rip of of the 7éme Companie? La Grande Vadrouille, Le Gendarme de St-Tropez or even a movie like “Le Diner de Cons”, L’aile ou la Cuisse?!?
and when we’re in the French movies… how about to take also Splendid’s movie “Les Bronzès”?
Once we start killing cult, going until the end -_-
De Funès was dead for 15 years at the release of “Le diner de cons” … How can you say that this is one of his cult movies ?
I just say this regarding to the popularity in France (Tons of rebroadcast on NationalTV (at least annual))….. i haven’t see any of theses movies (but going to see).
Louis de Funès didn’t play in this movie, as he was effectively dead many years before.
The two main actors of “Le dîner de cons” are Jacques Villeret (who received the César (French Oscar) of the Best Actor for this role, a very rare event for comedy actors in France) and Thierry Lhermitte (former member of the Splendid). We can also notice the great performance of Deniel Prévost.
And… Yeah. As every US remake of French stories, this will be s**t.
The next ones will be the Smurfs. In… New York. WTF… -_-’
Oh…. I need to sleep then… i did the wrong mix with “L’Aile ou la Cuisse” (which he played) and this movie…. Sorry guys ! (I thought this movie was made earlier).
The Smurfs already exist in US movies, it called Avatar !
But i think, De Funes’ movies will be next.
boring mobie
Alas, the title says it all. This is a WIN… for schmucks.
Video Interruption FAIL!
that looks like the effing dumbest movie.
Like there aren’t enough ads all over the page.
GTFO
WITH A CAST LIKE THAT.. rated pg-13 = FAIL.
no thank yo shmucko
This movie looks terrible.
Seriously, watch Diner de Cons instead.
(I sincerely hope the sponsors who paid Failblog to put this up happen to check on this page and see this one comment) :
This advertisement is so bad that it has GUARANTEED that I won’t ever go to see this movie in theaters, buy the DVD, nor even rent it. And the placement of this ad–trying to pass it off as actual site content–has gotten me angry enough that I’ll be trying to get everyone I know not to go, either.
You have FAILED at advertising. Good day.
i was all like “meh, it looks aight” and then i saw jermaine (FOTC) is in it… i have a monstrous broner right now and i will see this movie 5, possibly 6 times
At least those horrible Children s Hospital ads are gone.
FU Cheezeburger network… Like we dont have to wade through enough BS, now youre shoving crappy movies at us
Failblog FAIL!!!
