    Cutting edge news.

  5. Leila™ says:

I am thinking about faking illness and going home but I know that Karma will be back to kick my ass. I have so much to do but no motivation. The weather isn’t helping either. *depressed sigh*

  6. teh cat says:

I shall have my cheezburger! *stabs*

  7. desmo says:

    Nice, real life Google AdWords.

  8. gulo says:

*looks up “knife” in paper’s index*
References: C-2, with subsections “sharpening”, “slicing”, “stabbing”…

I’m having a hard time not seeing this as a win. Seems to be a well organized page to me.

  9. EranG says:

This is actually a double fail.
Aside from the ad placement, look at what the knife is cutting…

    • gulo says:

Ach, so. You’re saying something about that murder stinks? *wink, wink*

    • Ryan says:

The knife seems to be cutting the cheese.

      • Captain_Jack: Former Purveyor of fine neck massages says:

It’s an example of gouda image placement.

      • Captain_Jack: Former Purveyor of fine neck massages says:

It’s an example of gouda lmage placement.
If you hear an echo, it's just and after-!mage

        • Marius says:

          He can’t stop saying it.

          • Captain_Jack: Former Purveyor of fine neck massages says:

            It… It…. It…. It….

              He’s ghosting…quick! Someone save him!!!

              • Captain_Jack: Former Purveyor of fine neck massages says:

Hey, who turned out the lights?

That was one of the creepiest ideas they ever had
                • SuzieQ says:

                  Stay out of the shadows!!!

I agree...and that episode scared me more than "Blink".
                  • Captain_Jack: Former Purveyor of fine neck massages says:

                    Really, “Blink” was pretty scary.
                    How about “The Empty Child”?

                    “Are you my Mommy?”

                    • SuzieQ says:

The scariest part of “Blink” was the creepy music they played. “The Empty Child” was an awesome episode…and very creepy. Notice how each of these episodes were written by Stephen Moffat and yet, it took me a bit to really get into this season that just ended.

                      • Captain_Jack: Former Purveyor of fine neck massages says:

I’m also not a big fan of the latest season either, too wrapped up in the wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff. Hope that’s out of his system for the next season.

                      • Captain_Jack: Former Purveyor of fine neck massages says:

Oh, and it took me all season to warm up to Matt Smith. :)

                      • SuzieQ says:

I do, too. Part of me thinks he was almost trying too hard to prove himself coming off of a very successful run with RTD and DT. So many new things in this series (Doctor, TARDIS, companion, theme)…I just kinda want some simplicity back…

                      • Captain_Jack: Former Purveyor of fine neck massages says:

                        And you call yourself a geek… :)
                        *poke*

                      • Mouse says:

This season was a total restart. New doctor, new companion, new writer, new everybody. I kind of love Amy Pond, but Matt Smith as the doctor still needs time to grow on me while I mourn David Tennant.

                      • Captain_Jack: Former Purveyor of fine neck massages says:

I was an Eccleston fan, but had no problem with the transition to Tennant, so I’m not sure why I had trouble with Smith. Maybe it’s like Mouse says, it was a very abrupt change. In Tennant’s first episode he spend most of the time in bed asleep. :)

                      • SuzieQ says:

Maybe it’s just the fangirl in me, but I really liked that… :-D In any case, there was some continuity between the 9th and 10th Doctors. You really didn’t get that this time around, so it didn’t even feel like the same show.

Btw, Eccleston was awesome… :-) My first episode was “Waters of Mars”. After seeing that, I went and got series 1…and had to get used to Tennant all over again…

                      • Captain_Jack: Former Purveyor of fine neck massages says:

I thought it was a good technique for easing the transition. It gave Rose a whole episode to ‘introduce’ the new doctor.
I had a friend who put me on to the series, and insisted that I watch in order from “Rose” to “Doomsday” (the most current at the time) Then I joined in watching the broadcasts.

                      • SuzieQ says:

“Doomsday” made me bawl like a baby…and also made me dislike Martha quite a bit. As much as Stephen Moffat has said he doesn’t like Rose, Martha would be the one I dislike the most.

I own the entire new series and my kids and I have watched them numerous times. I love sci-fi anyway, so this only makes my geeky side that much worse… ;-)

                      • Captain_Jack: Channeling LCB says:

My daughter liked “Blink” but I can’t get her hooked on the series. She likes Torchwood, but I think it’s just for the sex. ;)

                      • Captain_Jack says:

…Actually I’m not sure LCB would have said that part.
                        *Bukkit*

                    • Mouse says:

The Big Bang finally made me feel that this latest season had lived up to Stephen Moffat.

                      • Captain_Jack: Former Purveyor of fine neck massages says:

Moffat is big on the time-travel aspect (Blink, The Girl in the Fireplace, Time Crash). I guess I just liked the shows that were more balanced with time-travel, monsters, and character development instead of focusing so heavily on just one part.

                      • SuzieQ says:

The Big Bang was a great episode and I thought it ended the series on a very high note. The Eleventh Hour was a great episode out of the gate, but I almost felt it stalled within the following episodes. It really took some time for me to get used to the new format…and the new Doctor. I’m a huge DT fan, but I gave Matt Smith the benefit of the doubt. Actors are limited to what material they are given, so I really couldn’t blame him entirely for his portrayal of the Doctor.

                      • Captain_Jack: Former Purveyor of fine neck massages says:

The Canadian sci-fi network had a live panel show after “The Big Bang” aired, and I liked one of the panelists take. She said the 11th doctor is kind of like a mid-life crisis, he needed some time for a second childhood but at the end of “The Big Bang” he’s getting serious again.

                      • SuzieQ says:

I like that, too! I looked at it as he went from being tormented to being very emotive, so with this regeneration he decided to be a grown-up kid. The true test will be next series…the saga of River Song continues…

                • SuzieQ says:

Gracie…are you sure those are his knobs??

  13. Aja says:

    Ouch, paper cut! :(

  14. Realm says:

Funny that it’s a knife ad for a cheese company… In addition, of course, to the article to the left of the ad.

  15. Realm says:

Oh gawd. I meant the *right.* Looks like I fail this time.
